These Russian Amazonite stones are a deep, bright shade of teal with pronounced white striations throughout the stones.

A variety of microcline (a feldspar mineral), Amazonite is found in granitic pegmatites and metamorphic rocks formed at medium to low temperatures. The teal color of Amazonite is due to trace amounts of lead or iron in the gemstone. The majority of notable Russian Amazonite deposits of are found in Russia, hence the name of the stone.
