This is a glass windchime with six wands of fused glass in the colors of a rainbow. I have suspended the glass from a top of birch dowel sprinkled with streaks of glitter, and coated with varnish. A stainless steel cable is attached to the top, with a loop for hanging the chime.

The height of each glass wand is six inches.

A rainbow glass heart pendant with a sterling silver bail.

To make this heart I cut separate pieces of colored glass and fused them together in a kiln. I made a hole in the glass, then added a wire-wrapped, sterling silver bail.

The heart is just a little under one inch across.

A rainbow "stone" of glass to carry in your pocket. I also call them "Unworry Stones."

I create these glass rainbows by cutting strips of colored glass and fusing them together in a kiln into glowing gems. Rainbows bring delight to the hearts of all.

How can you be sad with a rainbow in your pocket?

My pocket rainbows vary a little in shape and size, but are approximately 7/8" to 1 1/4" across, and 1/4" thick. The current batch are about 7/8". They come with an organza bag and a card. They make great gift items for someone who needs extra cheer or hope.

A little glass Soot Sprite which tags along in your pocket. These are an inch and a quarter in diameter, and solid glass.

Soot Sprites, or Suswatari (meaning "travelling soot") first appeared in Hayao Miyazaki's My Neighbor Totoro, and later in his Spirited Away.

"They are shy, slightly frightful creatures that live in abandoned buildings such as old houses."

I will include a white organza bag with each soot sprite.

This is a deep red, glass wind chime with black accents. The five glass wands hang from a section of natural bamboo. This chime makes a delightful tinkling sound.

Deep moss green glass hangs from an arc of driftwood wrapped in forest lichen on this wind chime.

The driftwood piece is about nine inches long, and the overall height is about nine inches. The longest glass wand is six inches long. I coated the driftwood and lichen with several coats of varnish. Attached to the top is a braided brass cable with a loop at the top for hanging.

A pink and white striped glass wind chime, reminiscent of pink candy canes. The glass wands are hung from a white rod speckled with glitter, giving it a wintry look.

This chime is about 5 inches across and 8 inches long. The center wand is 6 1/4 inches long.

A triangle of rainbow glass hung on a colorful cord. The triangle measures just under three inches on each side.

This looks great in a window with light coming through it. It can also be hung against any light-colored surface, or perhaps in front of a lamp or light fixture. It would be suitable for hanging from a rear view mirror, too, or used as an ornament.

I made it from individual strips of glass which I fused into a solid piece in a kiln.

Colorful translucent rainbow glass on a back of opaque white glass. The bail on the pendant, and the ear wires on the earrings are sterling silver.

I formed these little gems in a ceramic mold I created for the purpose. It's a one inch disc of purple (grape) glass embossed with a peace sign. The rounded shape feels nice rolled around in the fingers, and makes a great worry stone, talisman, or pocket fidget object. (Try repeating "pocket fidget object" rapidly.)

Glass Wind Chime Teal Amber Green

The top is a triangle of teal glass with a white glass design. Hanging below it are alternating bars of amber and olive green glass. (Most of the photos don't capture the olive green -- the last photo shows it somewhat better.) It is strung using a very strong, synthetic string. A strong, braided brass wire with a loop is attached to the top for hanging.

While of course glass can break, these chimes are very durable. I have kept my glass chimes out all year one block from the Pacific Ocean, through many wild winter storms, and had none break.

Happy Bladder in Fused Glass

This is a very happy bladder. Obviously its owner has not been standing in line outside the restrooms for thirty minutes, nor searching a city fruitlessly for a public facility.

This glass bladder is three inches across and, including the drops, six 1/2 inches long. The face is 24 carat gold fired into the surface. The drops are suspended with brass chain. I have attached a braided, brass cable to the top with a loop attached for hanging.

Frog Suncatcher with Crystal

I outlined this frog with 23k gold on the surface, and filled in the outline with glass enamel between the layers of glass. The hexagon of turquoise glass is framed in a border of green glass. Beneath this I've hung a string of sparkling silver-lined glass and gold-plated beads terminating in an Austrian crystal. This piece looks great in a sunny window, where the Austrian crystal will project rainbows into the room.

The hexagon measures about four by five inches. The overall length of the piece, excluding the hanging wire and loop, is about fifteen inches. The Austrian crystal is 60mm, or about 2 3/8 inches long.

Hot from the kiln, a new rainbow wind chime.

I went rectilinear this time: I used a top bar with a rectangular cross section. I painted this white, applied sparkly, copper pigment, and applied several coats of exterior varnish.

The six colored glass wands are suspended with a strong beading cord. I have them set close together, so it takes very little motion to start them sounding.

This chime is five inches across and seven inches long.

Pet Memorial Pendants

Carry a token of a departed friend close to your heart.

I encase ashes of your departed pet inside a glass pendant, and place a sparkling piece of dichroic glass on the front to represent the animal's spirit. At the top I add a bail of sterling silver so you can hang the pendant on a cord or chain of your choice. (I will include a waxed-cotton cord at no charge if requested.) The pendants are about an inch tall, not including the sterling bail.

I can make these in most colors, including red, green, blue, turquoise, teal, yellow, purple, black and white. Please specify a color when ordering.

These are custom made when ordered. I will email or convo you information on how to send ashes to me. I need only about 1/2 teaspoon at most, which can be easily mailed in an envelope. I return any unused ashes.

If you would like to share information about or a photo of your pet, I will keep that with me when I create the pendant.

If you wish more pendants than are listed, please convo me before ordering and I will set it up for you.

I have been making these pendants for six years or more, and find that they help many people in dealing with their loss. Often, the loss of a pet is not given the recognition that the loss of a human is -- this is one small way to honor that pet.
