3d altered art/found art assemblage to grace any wall (or table top). Wooden box is decorated with various papers and photos, found objects and tiny treasures including stamped metal in a deep vintage patina, a tiny portrait inset in a bronze frame, a key and a tassel. The top of the box -- the roof -- is covered one one side by a page from a vintage copy of "Black Beauty," one of my childhood favorites. The eaves of the "roof" are adorned with a thick beige upholstery fringe. Glass marbles add a touch of brilliance. The art continues on both sides with a raised swirl pattern and a sketch of a rather odd little woman. What's she holding? I don't quite know! It's a mystery.

The top four of the drawers actually open, but they aren't intended to hold anything as they are a bit fragile and i don't think they will take a lot of opening and closing. I suppose you could deposit a few treasures of your own inside, just as your own little secrets, purely for safe keeping.

I really love this box and the way it turned out. I hope you will too.
