Next I coated each with an blue underglaze glaze and then a clear gloss glaze and refired to maturity. Lastly I applied these decals and fired again. When a decal is fired in a kiln, it sinks into the glaze. Of course you can't eat them, but you can dream about it! These look as though they have been sitting out in the hot car and are halfway melted. Mmmmmm ...

This set of 4 Chocolate Stoneware Beads are all approx. 15 mm hole to hole and 16-17 mm at their widest.

These were handmade by myself in my Fort Worth home studio. I shaped and measured the clay by hand, so each one is unique to itself.

I have discovered over time that each batch of beads fires differently depending on the season, temperature, and humidity, and barometric pressure.
The round is 17 mm hole to hole and 18 mm at its widest. The hole is 2 mm. The four organic coin tablets are all approx. 15 mm hole to hole and 10 mm thick.

This set of seaweed or deep moss green beads was fun to put together. After the bisque firing I mixed up a unique glaze combination and glazed these accordingly.

The listing is for two beads, approx. 10 mm. If you want more than two, please convo me and I'll make you a special listing. Thanks! 14 beads are currently available.

I have discovered over time that each batch of beads fires in the kiln differently depending on the season, temperature, and humidity, and barometric pressure.

--------Inches -vs- Millimeters----------
1 inch = 25 mm
1/2 inch = approx. 12 mm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
Enter my shop here:
nkpbeads.etsy.com
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Sunflower and Leaves Porcelain Bead (handmade by me)

$8.00
Think wheat fields, warm breezes filled with bright sunshine and summertime dreams with this bead set.

This set starts off with a handmade (by myself) porcelain bead (19 mm). After I hand-rolled it, I let it dry and then bisque fired it. Next I apply a clear glossy glaze and refire to almost 2300 degrees.

The last step is to apply this sunflower decal and refire one last time. The decal slips under the glaze and cannot be scratched off.

This particular sunflower decal goes perfectly with these 14 square yellow jasper beads which measure 10 mm.

If you'd just like to buy the Porcelain bead or the Yellow Jaspers, let me know and I'll make a reserved listing for you.

I had an interesting texture from a button. After hand-rolling, I gently pressed the clay into the button texture.

I pierced the holes and set them aside to dry. The next step was to bisque fire them. After that I glazed them this yummy red and re-fired.

These were handmade by myself in my Fort Worth home studio. I measure and shape the clay by hand, so each one is unique to itself.
