Artist Doll-Original Antique Embellished Doll with Kitties

With the holiday season upon us, I decided to list a few of my artist, couture dolls that I have made entirely from the original sketch to the creation. I have been a doll artist for 20 years and make one-of-a-kind dolls embellished with antiques.

This 13-inch doll is made of tea-dyed muslin and features a muslin-lace petticoat with a dress and pantaloons made out of premium flannel fabric.

She features an antique linen as an apron and a gorgeous piece of antique jewelry at her neckline.

Her curly hair is added by hand and is a very labor-intensive process but gives her a full, wonderful head of hair.

I have made 3 handpainted kitties that she holds in a "garland-type" fashion. How cute!

Lastly, I have given her a millinery pin that measures about 4 inches by 3 inches and can be left on her dress or taken off for you to wear.

The bear, itself, is 13 inches high from ears to bottom of feet. It measures about 17 inches from head to bottom of dress.

I have boiled her fur for a few hours to make her look old and well loved. Her dress is made of a premium flannel with an antique linen for her apron. A velvet and lace sash wraps around her waist. Don't you love the gorgeous piece of antique jewelry at her neck?
