A most loved city from our childhood, The Emerald City.

Inside this dome is an exquistely tiny emerald city
with many spires and grand halls.
The yellow brick road passes by a reflection lake and a
silver brick courtyard as it winds up to the main door.

I handmade an itsy bitsy red apple and
preserved it forever in a resin dome.

The little red apple sits on an lovely pillow
of striking black that really pops against the
silver of the ring.

*there are some tiny bubbles in it, as seen in the
photos but, I don't think they take away from the ring at all. actually they give off a nice little twinkle when the
lights hit them

Black licorice is definately an aquired taste..
but, this beautiful sparkly ring sure isn't!

Gorgeous, eyecatching, holographic glitter swirled in
rich dark resin.
The resin isn't solid black though..it lets light shine through and reflect off all the wonderful glitter speckles inside.

Looks like a sugared gumdrop in sunlight,
and then when indoors, under light..all the rainbow colors of the glitter dazzle and pop!
(I tried to get a photo of the colors in the last photo)

Falling Leaf

Absolutely beautiful Autumn leaf!

I hand carved, sanded ,buffed and glazed this
resin maple leaf.

Leaf has an awesome golden flecked look when the light hits it. The color intermingles from gold to a pale green glass color at the tips.

Attached on it's 18" antiqued bronze ball chain,
fall various eyecatching glass, copper and wooden beads capturing the colors and essence of a forest in early fall.

This is my first attempt to sell my artwork,
and I'm very excited about it. Hopefully someone
will fall in love with my blustery
girls as much as I have.

It was much too beautiful of a day to be cooped up
inside. A walk along the garden path just before
sunset, when the sky turnes a rosey shade of pink
is just what WindRose needed.

Colors in print are a bit more vibrant
in person.

This is an 8x10 print on cardstock
of my original watercolor.
and will be signed and dated on back.
-watermark will not be on the print you receive.

There is a border for room to matt if desired.

*please note, my paintings do not always go straight to
the edge. they have white edging and you can see where
my brush strokes started. And that is the way they are
intended to be. :)

Vanilla Cone and Flake bar Cubie

When I was little, and lived in England
there was an ice cream man that would jingle through
the neighborhood.

He had tons of yummy goodies..but, we always picked
the vanilla cone because it was so soft and smooth, like whip cream melting in your mouth.

To top it off, he would poke a chocolate stick called a "Flake" bar in it...and that is just what it is, tons of shredded chocolate flakes smushed together and made into a candy bar..it is sooo good!!

I just had to make this little treat from
my childhood.
Preserved forever in a little cubie charm
on a colorful background of real sprinkles.

cube has swirls of blue and a light sprinkling of glitter,
embedded within.

The Swallow is often used by sailors as a symbol
of a "safe return home"

Swallows are known to travel far distances out to sea during migration and would rest on boats close to shore which gave early mariners the first sign that land was close by.
