Back when I was a little tyke one of my favorite things to come around in the summertime was the grab bag. It happened once a year during the Lumberjack Day's sidewalk sales in my hometown and it was fabulous. It could have been the mystery, the possibility of a pair of Fonzie socks, or a hair crimper, but whatever it was, it was great.

In honor of this summertime tradition, I am offering the same mystery and excitement with some of my pots.

Enjoy your tea in a lovely cup.

This design is called "Earth Laughs in Flowers." If pottery could bloom, this is what it would look like.

This teacup was wheel thrown and then altered to have a square top and bottom. After shaping the design was hand drawn and painted in cobalt blue. The cups were coated in a clear glaze (less the bottoms) and fired to give a shiny smooth finish.

The handle design is made for one finger of average size and is quite comfy.

Great for afternoon tea, or a fancy coffee with a friend.

Measures just under 3.5" in height and holds about 14 ounces.

Making something from scratch and serving it out of a nice bowl makes all the hard work that goes into cooking so much more appreciated.

The design is called "Flowing Through Leaves". It is a glimpse of abstracted nature... the life giving properties of water and the fallen leaves which have seen there day and are now enriching the soil. It is simple, yet bold, and really works well on some of the more modern designs that have popped up in my work

This bowl was thrown on the wheel and then altered to have a square bottom and top giving it a contemporary look and feel. After the shaping process the design was hand drawn and painted in cobalt blue and chocolate brown. The piece was coated in a clear glaze (less the bottom) and fired to give a shiny smooth finish.

Great serving from and for the simple act of enjoying!

Height measures about 3.5" and top measures just over 6" square.

Wheel thrown, altered and embellished with a hand-built super textured pedestal. This little bowl is perfect for a special dessert, or to serve olives and other condiments at your next gathering.

Creamy clay with a chocolate brown underglaze that springs up with flowers in the center. The bowl is coated in a clear glaze, however the pedestal portion has been left raw with the blue underglaze.

Most of my work is dishwasher friendly, however I would recommend hand-washing this due to the textured pedestal. Food safe and microwavable.

Moonlit Trees - Soup/Salad Bowl Set

Wheel thrown and altered to have four corners, this set of two creamy bowls makes for a lovely addition to your dinner table.

The trees in each bowl have been drawn using a resist process, painted in a chocolate brown underglaze and then coated in a clear glaze.

Just Trees - Vase Duo

I really enjoy simple flower arrangements in pairs, not sure what it is, but it works for me. This set is made with that idea in mind. Great for a few flowers, some greens, or to use as a place for some lucky bamboo.

Each of these has been wheel thrown out of a creamy clay body then altered to have a squarish top. The images are drawn with a chocolate brown underglaze and the entire piece is coated in a clear glaze and fired to cone 6.

Listing is for the set of two in photos 2 and 3 (the smaller of the two measures just over 4 inches in height. The back of each vase is plain.

The image design is called "Path of Fallen Leaves." This was inspired by my love of forest paths... it has been abstracted and brought inside for your enjoyment.

This piece was wheel thrown and then altered to have a square top. The design was hand drawn and painted in chocolate brown and cobalt blue. The piece was coated in a clear glaze (less the bottom) and fired to give it a shiny smooth finish.

The handle design is made for four fingers of average size and is quite comfy.

I really enjoy simple flower arrangements in pairs, not sure what it is, but it works for me. This set is made with that idea in mind. Great for a few flowers, some greens, or to use as a place for some lucky bamboo.

Each of these has been wheel thrown out of a creamy clay body then altered to have a squarish top. The images are drawn with a golden mustard underglaze and the entire piece is coated in a clear glaze and fired to cone 6.

Wheel thrown and altered to have a square top, this creamy tumbler set makes for a great addition to a fresh squeezed glass of your favorite juice.

The images are drawn with a golden mustard underglaze and the entire piece is coated in a clear glaze and fired to cone 6. Image on one cup runs into the inside of the cup making for a nice little surprise when you drink!

They measure just over 3.5" inches in height and holds 8 ounces.

Food safe, dishwasher friendly and microwavable (just be careful as it makes for a hot pot!).

Blooming Trees - Flat Egg Vase

A funky vase with a simple design, and a unique shape.

This design is called "Blooming Trees." It speaks to all of those who look out there windows and long for the days of renewal.

The vase was thrown on the wheel and then altered to give it a unique shape with a square bottom and rectangular top (it looks like a big flattened egg). After drying the design was hand drawn and painted in cobalt blue and chocolate brown. The piece has been coated in a clear glaze (less the bottom) and fired to give a shiny smooth finish.

Pick some flowers and give it with love to your mom.

Measures just about 5 inches in height.

This little pot comes in handy to show off your homemade vinaigrettes, flavored oils, and fluid sauces. Also works great as a creamer for afternoon tea.

The design is called "Earth Laughs in Flowers." If pottery could bloom, this is what it would look like.

It was wheel thrown in a stoneware claybody and then altered to have a funky shape with a square bottom. After the shaping process the piece was painted in a white slip. Flowers were hand painted in a cobalt blue and the piece was coated in a clear glaze (less the bottom) and fired to give it a shiny smooth finish.

The handle design is made for one finger of average size and is quite comfy. It has a great pour, quick and direct.

Measures around 5" in height and holds about 10 ounces.
