I named this beautiful, chunky black cardigan “A Moment 2 Myself.” But, I’m sharing; so it can be a “Moment 4 U 2!” This was my July 17th birthday pressie from me 2 me.

I have fallen in love with this cardigan! It is made from a slubby and soft acrylic/wool blend. This could well be one of your first new items for the coming fall and winter season!

As you can see in the images, this cardigan is not made to close in the front. It is a loose fitting yet snugly friendly sweater made to drape open to reveal whatever pretty thing you choose to wear beneath it.

The thick collar is knitted with a different yarn, which is a chunky wool/acrylic blend. The uniqueness of this cardigan is in the stitching of the collar. It is a looser stitch, making it look so much more than just your everyday cardigan.

Please look at the second image; it shows the detail of the sleeves. They are loose fitting, not too tight, not too wide. The sleeve kisses a bit below the elbow – no more rolling up the sleeves while busy with chores!

This little “Moment 2 Myself” will definitely be a staple garment in my wardrobe!

This cardigan is a “made to order,” and it will take approximately 7 - 10 DAYS TO DISPATCH. I can knit this up in any size you like, but, please, convo me prior to purchase with the details of your size. This listing is for a 6 – 8 US or an 8 – 10 UK. Yes it's adorable isn't it,

a perfect cowl/necklace which you can keep on all day, unlike some cowls which are purely for outdoor chilly weather conditions.

This can be worn front to back, or, back to front.

You decide would you like to show off the merino and angora yarn which has been french knitted, or spin it around and show off the brown pigskin leather, which has a snake skin effect, and closes with a brass sam brown stud.

I've also tried it on around the wrist and it looks just as good.

The yarn should be hand washed, as it is a felted tweed, hot temperatures will cause felting.

Made from a caramel cream shade of extra fine extremely soft Merino/Angora/Nylon yarn with a thin gold metallic fiber running throughout, this waistcoat will bring your wardrobe up several notches to the highest level of chic available for the Spring/Summer 2009 season.

Maasai Inspired poncho cape

This special yarn has been handspun by a very talented Irish knitter/weaver and the red and grey tones used here are just a small sample of her color range. A total of 5 different exceptional yarns have been used to create this garment.

I love knitting these capes; the dark and light grey yarns (50% cotton/50% linen) are so soft; the needles slip with ease. It is also exciting to see the results made by alternating the colors and types of yarns. The golden/red threads are 100% viscose. The red yarn, used around the bottom of the cape and at the neckline, has an interesting slub or nubby effect. The wider yarn is a tape yarn, a mix of cotton and viscose.

Some of the yarn is extremely delicate and has been woven into strings of 3 – 6 making the finished yarn very interesting. The details in the shades of this yarn are so gentle and subtle that the full details are difficult to capture in the pictures. However, I am quite certain that you will be absolutely delighted with your purchase. I have fallen in love with these yarns.

This cape is stitched together at the neckline. But the two sides are left open to allow plenty of room so you can freely move your arms. I have also added a tassel effect down one of the side seams to provide a little extra finesse in the detail.

This shawl will fit a 6 – 10 US or an 8 – 14 UK comfortably

Cause it's cold outside I've knitted up this snug hoodie, cowl, balaclava, to keep you extremely snug and wind resistant.

The design enables the cowl to fall onto your chest area, which allows it to be tucked under your jacket/coat, (with no unwanted bulk) thus not having gaps so that chilly north wind won't penetrate your neck. The cowl section will sit comfortably either under your chin, or right up over your nose, for those really bitter days.

When I modeled this accessory I felt so comfortable and feminine in this design that I didn’t want to take it off! As you can see from the pictures it can be paired with jeans for a casual look, or you can dress it up.

This is a truly beautiful Kimono Sleeved Cardigan knitted from 25% Kid Mohair/75% Acrylic blend of yarn in the softest of caramel and fawn colors. It will go very well with the other soft creams and white garments in your spring and summer wardrobe.

As always, you can’t beat the color black for elegance and this third version of my original design for the Kimono Sleeved Shrug is pure and simple élan. It is a Made To Order item, so please allow at least 7 working days for dispatch.

The key to the beauty of this shrug lies not only in the color but in the design. Please, check out the images of this shrug. The first picture shows the weave of this new design.

The neckline is a tighter interweave than the body of the garment and about 2 inches or so down from the neckline, in the back of the shrug, there is another line of tighter weave. You will notice the same tighter knit at the shoulders and down the sleeve. The result is a gorgeous accent to this new shrug.

This delicate, pretty cape is made from a lovely sky blue cotton slub yarn, which is knitted around the neckline and bottom of the cape. The main body of the cape is knitted with a fine linen yarn which, again, is a a gorgeous sky blue. This linen yarn is weaved in strings of three, making the detail really quite interesting.

A thin band of gold slubby yarn has been knitted around the bottom to add a great color effect as the sky blue and gold yarn compliment each other - very pretty.

I've also shown in a couple of the pictures just how versatile this cape is, by wrapping it around your neck twice, you can have a complete different look.

The yarn making up this garment is a shade of purple so dark it almost looks black, with flecks of copper, cream and lilac.

This shrug is designed to cover only your arms and back; there is no coverage around the front of the body, allowing whatever you wear beneath this shrug to stand out splendidly. The sleeves of this shrug come to a striking point which sits just over your wrist, lying on the back of your hand. You will notice in the images that I have added a patch to each elbow, giving the garment longevity of wear since the elbows of our sweaters generally wear out before the rest of the garment. The patch also gives this frontless sleeved shrug a very unique appeal.

This special yarn has been handspun by a very talented Irish knitter/weaver and the green and brown tones used here are just a small sample of her color range. A total of six different exceptional yarns have been used to create this garment.

I love knitting these capes; the olive green and brown yarns (50% cotton/50% linen) are so soft; the needles slip with ease. It is also exciting to see the results made by alternating the colors and types of yarns.

The golden/shiny yarns are 100% viscose, and the golden yarn has an interesting slub or nubby effect with tones of gold, bronze, chocolate and lime. The wider yarn is a tape yarn; this is a mix of cotton and viscose.

Some of the yarn is extremely delicate and has been woven into strings of six making the finished yarn very interesting. The details in the shades of this yarn are so gentle and subtle that the full details are difficult to capture in the pictures. However, I am quite certain that you will be absolutely delighted with your purchase. I have fallen in love with these yarns.

This cape is stitched together at the neckline. But the two sides are left open to allow plenty of room so you can freely move your arms. I have also added a tassel effect down one of the side seams to provide a little extra finesse in the detail.

Inspired by the yarn, I have created these perfect short fingerless gloves, which sit just above the wrist; you can still show off your beautiful bracelet – and check the time on your watch. These gloves are created with two yarns. The lighter blue used for the frill is cashmere/merino wool, a wool so soft you barely feel it touching your skin. The slate blue yarn is a mix of wool and acrylic.

I named this beautiful, chunky cardigan “A Moment 2 Myself.” But, I’m sharing; so it can be a “Moment 4 U 2!” The original black version was my July 17th birthday pressie from me 2 me.

This cardigan is made from a chunky cream flecked acrylic/wool blend. But can be custom made in any colour within my hat range.

As you can see in the images, this cardigan is not made to close in the front. It is a loose fitting yet snugly friendly sweater made to drape open to reveal whatever pretty thing you choose to wear beneath it.

The thick collar is knitted with a different stitch. The uniqueness of this cardigan is in the stitching of the collar. It is a looser stitch, making it look so much more than just your everyday cardigan.

The detail of the sleeves are loose fitting, not too tight, not too wide. The sleeve kisses a bit below the elbow – no more rolling up the sleeves while busy with chores!

Wool is amazingly versatile. It is cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Although these chunky hats are part of my winter collection, they can also be worn on a chilly summer evening for warmth and style.

This silver shade of yarn looks so polished; it’s neutral without being in the least boring. You will find yourself reaching for this hat over and over again.

You can make a summer fashion statement with this hat if you pair it with just the right things, such as a slim pair of jeans and a dainty top, a slim skirt, long or short and a delicate top. A pair of ankle boots could finish your outfit with élan.

Because it is chunky, for summer wear, you want to choose a figure fitting outfit, such as the suggested slim jeans and dainty top. With each changing of the seasons, it seems all of us desire something new, something fresh, whether it is a new garment for our wardrobe or a new tube of lipstick. Always, as fall and winter approaches we begin to think of those warm, cozy and comfortable accessories we will enjoy wearing in the upcoming months.

Nothing could delight us more than a lovely shrug made from an alpaca blend of yarn. Alpaca is well known for its softness and warmth even in a lightweight accessory.

This beautiful oatmeal colored shrug knitted with 32% Alpaca/31% Acrylic/37% Polyester yarn is going to satisfy all your needs on days when it might not be raining but the air is damp with a chill and, while the sun is still shining brightly, you need a little coverage.

I love fawn, cream and ivory winter clothing; near the end of summer I begin longing to wear them, and this lovely warm shade of cream yarn knitted into a Kimono Sleeved/Bibbed Shrug is just perfect.

This shrug is based on the pattern of my original Kimono Sleeved design with the delightful addition of a Cowl/Bib, making this iLE AiYE Shrug Design very versatile.

The Mustard Yellow Chunky yarn is threaded through some of the decorated open stitches, which allows the Cowl/Bib to gather so you can play with it, finding many different ways to wear it.

If you look closely at the images of the Cowl you can see how the gathering also adds some layering for warmth; the Cowl forms elegant folds near the neck and across the chest.

Notice the detail of the stitching around the edges of the Cowl/Bib – one side of the accessory is knitted in an interesting open weave before the stitching begins to weave tighter into the body. Use your imagination and you will find many alternative looks with this piece, at an affordable price.

If you like, you can wear the shrug without the Cowl/Bib or you can wear the Cowl/Bib alone.

Oh, Baby! Some like it hot and spicy! This shawl is IT; it cries out for attention and this lovely, zesty mustard colored shawl is anything but boring.

I have used a number of different yarns to create this lovely shawl. The majority of the yarns have been spun by a very talented Irish knitter/weaver and this linen yellow mustard is just a small sample of her talents.

I love working with her yarn; it is so soft and the needles slip with ease. It is exciting to alternate the colors and see the results.

In addition to the yellow mustard linen yarn, I’ve used a burnt lemon cotton slub yarn on both ends of the shawl. A soft copper colored tape yarn gives the shawl the dramatic effect. Some sparkle is added with a silver toned metallic slub yarn. This shawl is very unique and quite soft to the touch. You won’t want to take it off!

Summer isn’t over yet! This would make a gorgeous cover up at the beach. If you like attention then you’ll love wearing this provocative, luxurious cotton/linen shawl as you walk along in the surf holding the hand of your lover or on a solitary stroll by the sea, enjoying the brisk dawn of a new day or the quiet dusk just on the brink of sunset. Although these chunky hats are part of my winter collection, they can also be worn on a chilly summer evening for warmth and style.

This is a new color in my collection – a rich dark green.

You can make a summer fashion statement with this hat if you pair it with just the right things, such as a slim pair of jeans and a dainty top, a slim skirt, long or short and a delicate top. A pair of ankle boots could finish your outfit with élan.

Because it is chunky, for summer wear, you want to choose a figure fitting outfit, such as the suggested slim jeans and dainty top. Yes it's adorable isn't it,

a perfect cowl/necklace which you can keep on all day, unlike some cowls/collar which are purely for outdoor chilly weather conditions.

This can be worn front to back, or, back to front.

You decide would you like to show off the soft pink acrylic,wool,cotton yarn mix which has been french knitted, or spin it around and show off the soft pink vegetable dye leather, and closes with a nickle snap.

There are days when I want to feel more feminine and these little ponchos, open at the sides, are an item I reach for over and over again, for day and evening wear.

This delicate, pretty cape is made out of a lovely light pale blue cotton slub yarn, which is knitted around the neckline and bottom of the cape. The main body of the cape is knitted with a fine linen yarn which is an unusual color, a mix of a shade of sand and light grey. This linen yarn is weaved in strings of three, making the detail really quite interesting.

This special yarn has been handspun by a very talented Irish knitter/weaver and the gray and black tones used here are just a small sample of her color range. A number of different and very exceptional yarns have been used to create this garment.

I love knitting these capes. (Check my shop for other knits and colors) The yarns are so soft; the needles slip with ease. It is also exciting to see the results made by alternating the colors and types of yarns. Some of the yarn is extremely delicate and has been woven into strings of 3 - 6 making the finished yarn very interesting.

The details in the shades of this yarn are so gentle and subtle that the full details are difficult to capture in the pictures. However, I am quite certain that you will be absolutely delighted with your purchase. I have fallen in love with these yarns.

One of the black yarns is cotton/linen; a second black yarn is cashmere/merino. The wider yarn is a tape yarn in a mix of cotton and viscose.

For some added pizzazz and sparkle of color, I have added one row of Gold and Green yarn at the bottom of the cape.

Yellow is like a song, and all sunshine; it announces itself with the boldness of red, simply in shades light as the sun’s rays and with the joy of life in its tones.

This delicate, pretty cape is made from a lovely warm sunny yellow cotton slub yarn, which is knitted around the neckline and bottom of the cape. The main body of the cape is knitted with a fine linen yarn which, again, is a warm sunny yellow. This linen yarn is weaved in strings of three, making the detail really quite interesting.

For a bit of extra colour I've included a thin band of slate grey linen, and some gold slubby yarn around the bottom, and one row of gold slub around the neckline. With all this sunshine you’ll fairly want to whistle . . . or is it more fair to say someone will be whistling at you??!

Made from a topaz/powder blue shade of extra fine extremely soft Merino/Angora/Nylon yarn with a thin gold metallic fiber running throughout, this waistcoat will bring your wardrobe up several notches to the highest level of chic available for the Spring/Summer 2009 season.

Notice the thin French knit collar strap, which can be worn either loose or tied at the front. In the back of this waistcoat I have added an extra panel, from the hips down, that gives this piece a beautiful drape that is lower in the back. The finished look is very elegant.

I have used a number of different yarns to create this lovely shawl. The majority of the yarns have been spun by a very talented Irish knitter/weaver and this linen mix of soft pink, icy silver/light gray, with a subtle blend of salmon/peach and a blue and pink mixed yarn is a fine example of her range of color and talent in weaving yarns.

The cotton yarn is also an icy blue/silver; it has been knitted on one end of the shawl. The other end of the shawl is soft pale pink. Both of these yarns have that slubby effect that makes them look like they hold within their weave a load of tiny precious gems.

A viscose yarn is also knitted between each change of color in the yarns. This also is a slubby, metallic yarn which is extremely beautiful. It combines the shades of icy blue, silver and pink.

A woman cannot wear pink without feeling beautifully feminine. It is a color that compliments almost every skin tone and it is more neutral than you might think, meaning that it will go with many things you already have in your wardrobe. Dress it up with a strappy little number or wear it with a pair of jeans and a t-shirt.

This is one of the most gorgeous, feminine accessories recently added to my summer collection.

Made from a plum shade of extra fine extremely soft Merino/Angora/Nylon yarn with a thin gold metallic fiber running throughout, this waistcoat will bring your wardrobe up several notches to the highest level of chic available for the Spring/Summer 2009 season.

Notice the thin French knit collar strap, which can be worn either loose or tied at the front. In the back of this waistcoat I have added an extra panel, from the hips down, that gives this piece a beautiful drape that is lower in the back. The finished look is very elegant.

The button detail enables you to wear this waistcoat in several alternative ways, as shown in the images, or you can leave it unbuttoned and allow the waistcoat to drape naturally. This is a NEW SHADE to my collection of chunky hats.

Wool is amazingly versatile. It is cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Although these chunky hats are part of my winter collection, they can also be worn on a chilly summer evening for warmth and style.

You can make a summer fashion statement with this hat if you pair it with just the right things, such as a slim pair of jeans and a dainty top, a slim skirt, long or short and a delicate top. A pair of ankle boots could finish your outfit with élan.

Because it is chunky, for summer wear, you want to choose a figure fitting outfit, such as the suggested slim jeans and dainty top. You would NOT want to wear this hat with, say, a pair of Palazzo pants and blousy top that would create a fuller silhouette. But, then, who am I to say? You might have some better selection with even greater elegance! Purchase the hat and then play with it.

Made from a mix of wool/acrylic yarn this hat is soft and does not cause your forehead to itch as do some wool hats.

I have used a number of different yarns to create this cape. The majority of the yarns have been spun by a very talented Irish knitter/weaver and these grey and black tones are just a small sample of her talents.

I love working with her yarn; it is so soft and the needles slip with ease. It is exciting to alternate the colors and see the results.

Some of the yarn is extremely delicate and has been woven into strings of 3 – 6 making the finished yarn very interesting. The details in the shades of this yarn are so gentle and subtle that the full details are difficult to capture in the pictures. However, I am quite certain that you will be absolutely delighted with your purchase. I have fallen in love with this cape and these yarns.

One of the black yarns is a blend of cotton/linen; another is a slubby black yarn in cashmere/merino and the wider tape yarn is a blend of cotton/viscose. I have also added one row of gold and green yarn at the bottom of the cape, just for some added interest and sparkle of color.

The style and the yarns used make this cape very special. Since most of the cape is made from natural fibers it will be warm on those chilly, misty mornings or cool nights, and it will be cool to wear even during the day, shielding you a bit from the sun. Wear it with a skirt and top, jeans and boots; use your imagination and let this cape expand your summer wardrobe into many different looks!

In one of the images you see that the cape can even be double wrapped around your neck. You might have to squeeze it a bit to fit over the head, but the effect is well worth it!
