The general shape of these stockings is historically accurate for the Elizabethan era as best I can tell from photos of period hosiery in the Victoria & Albert museum in London. Even Henry VIII had knit hose, but they didn't really re-emerge again until the latter time of Elizabeth I when one of her Ladies, Mrs. Montague, knit them for her as a gift. Elizabeth loved those stockings.

Scotland - Ireland - Wales CROSS STITCH - 3 ePatterns

I had such a great time developing these patterns for Scotland (the Thistle), Ireland (the Harp) and Wales (the Red Dragon). My family history is deeply embedded in all three. Dad was from Edinburgh, Mom's family was from County Armagh and my gr-grandmother's family was from Wales.

The measurements are as follows:
Irish Harp 421 stitches x 577 stitches
14ct Aida: 30.07" x 41.21"

Scottish Thistle 166 stitches x 138 stitches
14ct Aida: 11.85" x 9.85"

Welsh Red Dragon 125 stitches x 95 stitches
14ct Aida: 8.92" x 6.78"

These were created in Hobbyware's Cross Stitch Pattern Maker software and will come to you as .pat files for use with that program. Also available at the download site are the patterns in Cross Stitch Graphs. The Thistle is in 4 parts with the dividing lines clearly marked. The back cover has a piece missing at the bottom corner. It does impact the pattern on the reverse side for a couple of words but anyone experienced in thread crochet shouldn't have a problem.

This nifty 15 page booklet measures 7 1/2" wide by 10 1/2" tall.

Here's a fabulous buy for any seamstress! We have 30 Coats Brand POLYESTER All Purpose Zippers in a lovely Geranium Pink. They're all 22in / 55cm in length. New, in their original packages.

These are left overs from a charity sewing project we did several years ago. They need to go on to another home now as I need the space in that drawer.

They've been stored in a smoke free but cat friendly environment since my purchase.

Wow! This would be a great addition to any knitter's vintage pattern library! It's from the 1940's as far as I can tell from the hairstyles and such.

This gem is basically intact! The stapled spine is still firmly holding all 24 pages. There are 23 patterns by my count. Expected rubbing wear along the edges, of course and a few corners of pages may be folded, but no hinderance to the lovely patterns.

I purchased this magazine as part of a box of patterns at an estate auction several years ago. I have no clue if the original owner smoked or not. It's been stored in a smoke-free environment since my purchase.

Here's an oldie -- 60 years old! Fabulous magazine full of a myriad of old time patterns for knitting and crochet, fashion & gifts. What a lovely addition to any knitter's or crocheter's library of vintage patterns!!

This would be the PERFECT addition to any vintage knitter's pattern library!! Here's a neat book from Columbia Minerva Volume #734.

I don't have an exact publishing date, but from what I can determine from the pictures, it is around the 60's. It is in FABULOUS condition!!

Staple bound, 49 pages, great pictures and graphs for any of the sweaters with fair isle patterning. COMPLETELY INTACT! Very minor rubbing wear on this one. One minor scuff/scrape mark (probably from a price sticker) on front cover, see the picture.

There are 9 reels of WFR's Bengaline Ribbon in this deSTASH lot. I acquired these through various craft stores, thrift stores, possibly some yard sales, etc. They've been stored in a smoke-free environment since my acquisition.

1/2 reel 5/8" Royal Purple/Blue?

Total of 9 reels. The full reels are 25 yards so you're getting well over 150 yards of Bengaline Ribbon! This ribbon looks & feels (ridges) like grosgrain, but does NOT have the sealed edges.

I used these for floral arrangements for years along with my starched baskets. I don't do those any more and these need to go to someone else now.

The graph for this 4th of July and Liberty Bell measures 105 stitches x 86 rows, with 1 stitch empty around the edges. Using a gauge of 7 stitches and 11 rows per inch, the actual knitted motif measures 14.7 inches wide by 7.6 inches long. This is excellent for the central portion of a placemat and many other items.

Here's a great free pattern that will add elegance to any Celtic Knits.

This is a knitting pattern, and although the finished product, on a gauge of 8st x 11 rs = 1" Measures: 22" x 24", the graphs measure 176 stitches x 274 rows. These graphs are not suitable for Cross Stitch or Crochet since a knit stitch is not sized to be square.

If you are a HAND KNITTER considering working with our graphs, please email me for a sample graph pattern to see if it will fit your needs. Many can work with a black and white graph for hand knitting, some cannot. There are NO written instructions with the graphs. And the DAK (Design-A-Knit) .pat files load directly into your computer using the DAK software.

These Quilt Blocks all measure 190 stitches wide by 254 rows. On a scale of 8 stitches by 11 rows to the inch, each of these blocks will measure approximately 23 inches square. All of the MACHINE KNIT .pat files for DAK are in full color.

Froggy On The Go - Cross Stitch, Hand Knit, DAK Files - Your Choice

This one was a favorite for my hand knitting last year. We used him for motifs on pillows, summer time cotton knit tops and so much more. The kids loved Froggy!! He's marching into spring and will also march right into your heart.

Please Note:
**DAK Patterns (.pat files) require the Design-A-Knit software.
**Hand Knit - these are the graphs only. No written instructions.
**Cross Stitch Graphs - these are the graphs only, no written instructions.

We have all THREE versions available on one download URL. These are not sent via email attachment. You will be able to pick and choose which versions (hand knit graph, cross stitch graph and Design-A-Knit .pat files) to download.

Knit Graph (and DAK File) both measure 56 stitches x 68 rows. On a scale of 8 st x 11 rows, your finished knit Froggy will measure approx. 7" wide by 6.1" tall.

We used to do the cross stitch on both plastic canvas (children love doing this one) that was 10-mesh to the inch and also on 14 count Aida cloth for smaller projects. The Cross Stitch graph measures 56st wide x 51st high.
