Crocheted copper wire basket, multicolor

$40.00
This pretty little basket is crocheted with two strands at a time of very fine copper wire, worked together to add strength and a beautiful depth of texture. The body of the basket is fashioned from 29 gauge copper-colored wire crocheted together with 32 gauge (hair-fine) black wire. The rim includes the addition of 28 gauge green wire.

This basket stands up on its own, but is flexible and can be collapsed, crushed, and re-formed without causing any damage. This particular basket is a very fine weight and would work best as decor or as a 'wrapping' around a small bowl or flower pot.

It is shaped much like a floppy sun-hat, about 8" tall and about 8" across at the top. It took about 5 hours to crochet.

The enamel coating on the copper wire gives the baskets their various colors, and protects the wire from tarnishing, ensuring that it will e bright and shiny for years to come!

Nary a drop to drink -- Custom crocheted copper wire wine bottle stuffed with wine corks.

$180.00
I took this exquisite bottle to an art festival recently, and the exclamations and the universal question, "how do you get the bottle out," were astonishing!

Of course, the greatest secret is this: there is no bottle! The 'bottle' is a crocheted copper wire frame stuffed with lots and lots of wine corks! I crocheted the frame around a wine bottle that I had on hand as a model, then removed the bottle before I began tapering the stitches at the top... The results look astonishingly convincing as a stand-alone bottle.

The bottle photographed here was lovingly created as a gift for a very special sommelier in my life. Because of the incredibly positive feedback that I've gotten about this bottle, I am offering to custom-make another bottle for you! You choose the bottle, or let me choose. Choose the colors, or leave the choice up to me! Send me the corks that you would like to be stuffed in the bottle, or I'll fill it with the corks I have on hand!

Bottle takes about 15-18 hours to crochet.

Hexagonal copper wire ornaments or suncatchers -- multicolor

$8.00
These little ornaments are made on the same "chassis" as my ITTY BITTY copper wire basket ornaments, except that rather than bending the center wires upward to create baskets, I've left them flat, resulting in these hexagonal wire ornaments, about 3 inches in diameter!

For my customers who are simply enthralled with the copper wire creations that I make, this is an inexpensive way to bring one home! Some like to hang these in their windows as sun catchers or as ornaments on their rear view mirrors.

I typically only list one item at a time -- but if you'd like to purchase multiples of these, let me know and I will adjust the in-stock number for you!

These sell out so quickly, I've hardly had an opportunity to photograph them before they go out the door. Let me know if you have custom color combination requests and I will do my best to accommodate you.

The copper wire used to make these ornaments is coated in enamel in a variety of colors. The enamel protects the copper from tarnishing, ensuring that these dainty little baskets will be bright and shiny for years to come!

$8 per ornament. Free shipping on the second and any additional baskets!

VERY LITTLE copper wire baskets, custom order

$10.00
These are the second-smallest baskets I make, and they're so small that it's pretty tricky to make them! Only about 2-2.5" in diameter, and only about an inch or less tall, they are about the right size to hold a couple of rings and perhaps a pair or two of earrings on your countertop or bedside table. They are just barely large enough to hold tea-light candles, too. Great for massage therapists or others who want to add a little bit of atmosphere to a room!

For my customers who are simply enthralled with the copper wire baskets that I make, this is an inexpensive way to bring one home!

These sell out so quickly, I cannot guarantee that any of the pictured baskets will still be in stock when you order -- but these pictures give you a good representation of what colors are available. Can make these baskets in one or two colors by request. Each basket takes about 40-50 minutes to make! No two baskets is quite alike!

The copper wire used to make these baskets is coated in enamel in a variety of colors. The enamel protects the copper from tarnishing, ensuring that these dainty little baskets will be bright and shiny for years to come!

ELENA -- Belle of the Ball -- crocheted copper wire basket

$75.00
Elena was born to be noticed! The star of the show, the Belle of the Ball, she is a PRINCESS, and demands the spotlight! Coy and flirtatious, she'll dip her head toward you then suddenly dance away, and watch for you to chase after her!

Adorned in what appears to be a shimmery red brocade gown, she twirls and shows off in the limelight, and preens for the cameras. Like all her little sisters and cousins, she has a nice weight to her that belies her dainty appearance.

Elena measures 6.5 inches across at her lacy brim, and 3.5 inches tall -- her creation involved nearly 7 hours of painful but loving labor, and she is truly a masterpiece!

Her plump, round body is made from two strands of 26-gauge enameled copper wire in red and gold, and her lacy lip is a continuance of the gold wire, entwined with 26-gauge brown wire, and 32-gauge black wire with two rows of single crochet stitches topped with a row of double-crochet shell stitches that flares outward like the petals of a delicate flower!

If you squeeze Elena, she won't complain -- she giggles and bounces back with a little wriggle and jiggle! Don't let her fool you: she is stronger than she looks! Her texture is lovely to feel, and lovelier to see! She loves to be petted and played with, and would love to show off by holding your favorite candies, jewelry, potpourri, or other items. She would also make great candle holder for a short pillar candle, tealights, or votives -- light the candles, and watch her lacy shadows dance across your walls!

The colors that decorate Elena are from the wire's enamel coating, which is permanent, and protects the copper wire from tarnishing, ensuring that she will be bright, shiny, and beautiful for years to come!

LUCY -- TINY MURDERESS -- crocheted copper wire basket

$25.00
Lucinda -- Lucy, for short -- looks small, but she is fierce! Refusing to behave from the moment of her conception, a lovely metallic blue crochet hook, 2.5 mm, became Lucy's first victim!

Labor then commenced with the help of a new recruit: a 1.5 mm crochet hook proved tougher to break than its predecessor, but Lucy was not easily tamed, and with her completion she left her creator's hand maimed and inflamed...

Start to finish, Lucy emerged after more than two hours of painful labor, and immediately pounced on the broken corpse of the 2.5 mm crochet hook, which even now she refuses to relinquish.

At less than an inch tall, and barely an inch wide, Lucy is a sight to behold! Her bright coppery body is made of a single strand of 29 gauge wire which begins in a somewhat unruly, lacy weave at her full and rounded bottom, then constricts to tight, tiny stitches at her sides and to her lip, which is finished with a single strand of 28 gauge wire in bright green.

Her texture is lovely to see, and incredible to touch; she may allow you to pet her and fondle her a bit, but BEWARE! Lucy may strike at you without warning, and with devastating consequences...

While her appearance is delicate, and her size is slight, Lucy wears a permanent coat of enamel that protects her from tarnishing. She seeks asylum in an understanding household -- for she will insist on bringing the body of her victim as a trophy wherever she goes.

Lucy does admit to only one concern: She would prefer a home without cats, for her slight size, squishy texture, and bouncy nature would make her unquestionably irresistible to inquisitive kitties, and Lucy shudders to think of herself as a feline plaything...

Can you offer Lucy asylum in your home?

About 3.5" - 4" across, and about 2.5"-3" tall.

Use them for candle holders, or to hold some of your everyday jewelry or other small items, or even some candy... They are remarkably strong and durable.

The copper wire used in these baskets has an enamel coating in a variety of colors. The enamel coating protects the copper from tarnishing, and ensures that these little baskets will be bright and shiny for years to come.

My smaller baskets are my most popular, and most difficult to keep in stock, so I will treat any orders for this size basket as custom orders.
Jasmina, exotic little crocheted wire diva

$75.00
This striking beauty is a prima donna on a whole different scale -- only 3" across at her flared rim, and barely 2" tall from her rounded bottom to her lacy top, her stitches are exceptionally tight and tiny.

This beautiful sweetheart fits wonderfully in the palm of a single hand, and has a nice weight to her that belies her dainty appearance.

Jasmina's shiny surface is made of a single strand of 27-gauge wire in a stunningly-bright ruby red hue, and her lip is stitched with one row of single-crocheted shiny brown wire, topped with a row of double-crocheted shell stitches in the same hue. Jasmina's creation involved about 8 hours of painful but loving labor -- more time than many of her larger cousins, because of the particular difficulty involved in crocheting copper wire on this tiny scale.

Jasmina has a regal bearing and a quiet sophistication that seems to contradict her smaller size -- she has a presence that DEMANDS attention, and keeps it once she gets it. Don't let her fool you: she is stronger than she looks! Her texture is lovely to feel, and lovelier to see. She loves to be petted and stroked, and is a particularly lovely bearer of your favorite trinkets and jewelry. She would also make great candle holder for a tealight or votive -- light the candle, and watch her intricately lacy shadows dance across your walls!

The colors that decorate Jasmina are from the wire's enamel coating, which is permanent, and protects the copper wire from tarnishing, ensuring that she will be bright, shiny, and beautiful for years to come!

Each one is about 4" - 5" in diameter, and takes a bit more than an hour to make. I've made several of these, but only have one in stock to photograph at the moment, so please take a look at the pictures of my other baskets and ornaments for examples of the colors that are available.

For my customers who are simply enthralled with the copper wire creations that I make, this is an inexpensive way to bring one home! Some like to hang these in their windows or from their rear view mirrors as suncatchers.

I typically only list one item at a time -- but if you'd like to purchase multiples of these, let me know and I will adjust the in-stock number for you!

The copper wire used to make these ornaments is coated in enamel in a variety of colors. The enamel protects the copper from tarnishing, ensuring that these dainty little baskets will be bright and shiny for years to come!

$10 per ornament. Free shipping on the second and any additional baskets!

Less than 2" in diameter, and only about an inch tall, they are about the right size to hold a couple of rings and perhaps a pair or two of earrings on your countertop or bedside table without the ornament wire -- but they look pretty darn good on the Chrismas tree, too!

For my customers who are simply enthralled with the copper wire baskets that I make, this is an inexpensive way to bring one home!

I typically only list one item at a time -- but if you'd like to purchase multiples of these, let me know and I will adjust the in-stock number for you!

These sell out so quickly, I've hardly had an opportunity to photograph them before they go out the door. It is remarkably clear, with no visible inclusions at 10x magnification.

The color in this stone varies from a candy-apple green to teal, to a mix of green and blue depending on the viewing angle and lighting, but it is more green than blue. It is beautifully set in a silver band, 4 mm wide, that is embossed with florals and vines all the way around. Because of this continuous embossing, I would not recommend re-sizing this ring, because re-sizing would cause an interruption in this lovely embossed pattern.

Ring is size 6.75.

With her tight, small crochet stitches, she has a nice weight to her that belies her dainty appearance.

Isabelle measures 5.5 inches across at her rim, and about 3 inches tall, her creation involved about 6 hours of painful but loving labor.

Her plump, round body is made from two strands of 26-gauge enameled copper wire in brown and gold, and her lacy lip is a continuance of the brown wire, entwined with 28-gauge green wire, with one row of single crochet stitches topped with a row of double-crochet shell stitches that flares outward like the petals of a delicate flower!

If you squeeze Isabelle, she won't complain -- she giggles and bounces back with a little wriggle and jiggle! Don't let her fool you: she is stronger than she looks! Her texture is lovely to feel, and lovelier to see! She loves to be petted and played with, and would love to show off by holding your favorite candies, jewelry, potpourri, or other items. She would also make great candle holder for a short pillar candle, tealight, or votive -- light the candle, and watch her lacy shadows dance across your walls!

The colors that decorate Isabelle are from the wire's enamel coating, which is permanent, and protects the copper wire from tarnishing, ensuring that she will be bright, shiny, and beautiful for years to come!

$8.00
These are the second-smallest baskets I make, and they're so small that it's pretty tricky to make them! Less than 2" in diameter, and only about an inch tall, they are about the right size to hold a couple of rings and perhaps a pair or two of earrings on your countertop or bedside table.

For my customers who are simply enthralled with the copper wire baskets that I make, this is an inexpensive way to bring one home!

These sell out so quickly, I've hardly had an opportunity to photograph them before they go out the door. These are all one color, though I *may* be able to make some in two colors by request if it's important to you.... It gets tricky at these small sizes. ;o)

The copper wire used to make these baskets is coated in enamel in a variety of colors. The enamel protects the copper from tarnishing, ensuring that these dainty little baskets will be bright and shiny for years to come!
Wire wrapped orange bottle with cork lid

I've wrapped the empty bottle in enameled copper wire, which was about a 6 hour process! The wire finials are tightly wrapped into stiff, shiny coils, which nicely offset the color of the bottle itself.

In normal lighting, the writing on the bottle is not easily visible, but in the camera's flash: voila! The writing is permanent, and the bottle itself is hand-washable in soap and water with heat tolerances up to 150C and higher.

The bottle comes with its original lid with a cork attached, and can be used as a vase, or as a container and dispenser for oils/vinegars, salad dressings, wines, or your own favorite concoctions!!

I have a number of other bottles of various sizes, shapes, and colors that I will be wrapping over the next several weeks. I have enameled copper wire in a variety of colors and gauges. The enamel is permanent, and protects the wire from tarnishing, ensuring that this bottle will be bright and shiny for years to come!!

Crocheted copper wire basket, multicolor green with red rim

$65.00
This pretty little basket is crocheted with two strands at a time of very fine copper wire, worked together to add strength and a beautiful depth of texture. The body of the basket is fashioned from 24 gauge grass-green wire crocheted together with 32 gauge (hair-fine) black wire. The rim is double-crocheted with 26 gauge red wire, 29 gauge copper wire and 32 gauge black wire.

This basket is very sturdy and stands up on its own, but is flexible and can be collapsed, crushed, and re-formed without causing any damage. Use it as decor, or to store your jewelry or small incidentals. Can also be used as a 'wrapping' around small bowls or flower pots.

It is shaped much like a floppy sun-hat, about 3" tall and about 6" across at the top, and is crocheted with fairly tight stitching, making it surprisingly heavy. It took about 5 hours to crochet.

Each basket that I crochet is original, unique, one-of-a-kind!!

The enamel coating on the copper wire gives the baskets their various colors, and protects the wire from tarnishing, ensuring that it will be bright and shiny for years to come!

The smaller green bowl (Emma) measures 4 inches across and 2.5 inches tall, and it nests beautifully inside the larger red bowl (Jane), which is 4.5 inches across at the top, and 3 inches tall!

Emma is actually crocheted with three strands of copper wire: black (32 gauge), copper (29 gauge) and green (28 gauge). Her lip is crocheted with copper (29 gauge) and a slightly lighter-colored amber (26 gauge).

Jane is crocheted with two strands of copper wire: copper (29 gauge), and red (26 gauge). Her lip is just like her little sister's.

Emma and Jane are beautifully made, with tight, even stitches, making them strong, squishy, and resilient -- squeeze them, and they bounce back with a giggle and a jiggle! They like to be petted and played with, and love to show off by holding your favorite candies, jewelry, potpourri, or other items. They would also make great candle holders for a short pillar candle, tealight, or votive -- light the candle, and watch the lacy shadows dance across your walls!

The colors that decorate these little darlings are from the wire's enamel coating, which is permanent, and protects the copper wire from tarnishing, ensuring that they will be bright, shiny, and beautiful for years to come!

The natural emerald is a rich true green, practically flawless, well over a carat in size. It is surrounded by elegant platinum knotwork -- the platinum itself has quite the heft to it, and it wraps around a thick 18 karat solid gold band with graceful knotwork. Ring weighs 3/8 oz total -- 11 grams. The value of the scrap metal alone in this ring is very high. Add to that the value of the emerald, and the gorgeous design of this ring, and the value goes up considerably!

This ring is HEAVY, and in great shape! This is truly an extraordinary ring.

Size 8.

It measures 8.5 inches long (22 cm).

I've made a variety of these bracelets in several sizes, and can make more to suit your needs too. They are crocheted using enameled copper wire and adorned with stone or gemstone beads.

Some examples of the stones I've used to make these bracelets:

* Green amethyst (prasiolite) faceted briolettes
* unpolished jasper rondelles
* citrine and garnet faceted briolettes
* brown/yellow and red tiger's eye
* smoky quartz
* jade
* turquoise
* crab fire agate
* malachite and onyx (not crocheted -- made with twisted wire)

The enamel coating on the copper wire will protect the copper and keep it bright and shiny for years to come, and also means that the copper will not turn your skin green!

All bracelets, with the exception of the turquoise bracelet, which is listed separately, have stainless steel clasps.
These petite baskets are like youngsters with their bottoms exposed!

Ranging between 3 and 4 inches in diameter, and 1.5 - 2 inches tall, these particular baskets are made with BARE copper wire on bottom, then enameled copper wire in various colors up the sides...

The bare copper wire is striking in its bright, fresh, almost fleshy color, and will gradually tarnish and take on a patina over time -- kind of like skin tanning, freckling, and developing age spots. ;o)

The enameled copper wire is available in orange, brown, green, and red of various shades. I can make these in two or three colors, custom colors available upon request.

Each basket takes about 2 hours to make. The baskets pictured may not be the ones in stock when you place an order, but I'm happy to duplicate what you see, or fill custom orders! If you would like to purchase more than one of these baskets, please let me know and I'll be happy to increase the number "available" in the listing.

Very small copper wire baskets -- tea light candle holders, custom order

$12.00
These are very small octagonal copper wire baskets. About 2" -2.5" across, and about 1"-1.5" tall, these are just larger than a tea light candle.

Use them for candle holders, or to hold some of your everyday jewelry or other small items.

Available in solid colors or with a stripe of a second color at the top of the basket.

SQUARE Itty-bitty baskets, copper wire

Only about an inch in diameter, and a bit less than an inch tall, they are about the right size to hold a couple of rings and perhaps a pair or two of earrings on your countertop or bedside table. Also available with a hanging wire to hang on your wall or to use as Christmas tree ornaments, or hang from your rear-view mirror!

Each basket takes about 45 minutes to make! No two baskets are quite alike!

The copper wire used to make these baskets is coated in enamel in a variety of colors. The enamel protects the copper from tarnishing, ensuring that these dainty little baskets will be bright and shiny for years to come!

Price is per basket.

The body of the scarf is the thicker 24-gauge wire done in double-crochet stitches and the trim is in the thinner 26-gauge red enameled copper wire.

About 3' long, this scarf can be paired nicely with jeans or slacks; a jacket, sweater, or sleeveless top. The enamel coating on the copper wire means that this scarf feels smooth and cool to the touch, and will not tarnish or change color over time.

This scarf was more than 4 hours in the making, and contains more than $20 in copper wire. It measures 8.25 inches long (nearly 21 cm).

* unpolished jasper rondelles
* citrine and garnet faceted briolettes
* brown/yellow and red tiger's eye
* smoky quartz
* jade
* turquoise
* crab fire agate

OOAK Full-size copper wire basket, rainbow of colors, award winning

$375.00
This beautiful basket took 20+ hours of intensive concentration to create -- the handle alone is wound from 24 strands of large gauge enameled wire and took over three hours to wind! The basket is heavy, made up of a few pounds of copper, and durable -- it carries its weight and then some. Made in the shape of a traditional Easter basket, and just as large!

The body of the basket is made from copper wire of many thicknesses (gauges) with a rainbow of hard-to-find enameled coatings. The enamel is permanent, will not fade, and protects the copper from tarnishing. This basket is an attention-grabber, and will be bright and shiny for years to come!

About 18" long at the rim of the basket, about 12" wide, about 24" tall to the top of the handle. Measures are approximate.
Crocheted copper wire scarf with precious stone beads

$100.00
This long, decadent scarf is crocheted with 27-gauge and 24-gauge enameled copper wire. The body of the scarf is the thinner 27-gauge natural-colored copper wire done in double-crochet stitches and dotted with periodic citrine nugget beads, with the thicker red copper wire around the edges.

About 5' long, this scarf can be paired nicely with jeans or slacks; a jacket, sweater, or sleeveless top. I wore it to a job interview and the interviewer asked me about the scarf for a full 15 minutes before the interview commenced! Can also be worn as a sash-style belt with tunic tops or dresses.

The enamel coating on the copper wire means that this scarf feels smooth and cool to the touch, and will not tarnish or change color over time.

This scarf was more than 8 hours in the making, and contains about $30 in raw materials -- copper and precious stone beads. You will not find a scarf quite like this one anywhere else!

Beatrice -- crocheted copper wire fine art basket

Unlike her larger cousins Isabelle, Sammie, and Elena, Betty's more closely resembles her little sister Jasmina, with stitches that are exceptionally tiny and tight!

At only 4.25" across at her flared rim, and barely 2" tall from her rounded bottom to her chocolatey-brown top, she was born out of about 15 hours of painstakingly loving labor -- considerably more time than many of her larger cousins, because of the particular difficulty involved in crocheting copper wire on this tiny scale!

Betty likes to think of herself as born to nurse and comfort; her long labor and birth coincided exactly with a three-day period that her maker spent watching over Betty's godfather, who was flat on his back in bed with a bad case of vertigo! Betty's godfather now refers to Betty lovingly as his "little vertigo basket."

This beautiful sweetheart fits snugly in the palm of a single hand, and has a nice weight to her that belies her dainty appearance.

Betty's shiny surface is made of one strand each of four colors of wire: 24, 25, and 26-gauge wire with caramel at her base, a thin stripe of red, a thick swath of natural copper color for her body with a row double-crocheted at the top, and her lip is stitched with three rows of deep brown single-crocheted wire.

Betty's smaller stature belies a calm and self-assured maturity -- she is happy to watch over your smaller candies, and showcases them beautifully. Don't let her fool you: she is stronger than she looks! Her texture is lovely to feel, and lovelier to see. She loves to be petted and stroked, and is a particularly loving caretaker of your favorite trinkets and jewelry. She would also make great candle holder for a tealight or votive -- light the candle, and watch her intricately lacy shadows dance across your walls!

The colors that decorate Betty are from the wire's enamel coating, which is permanent, and protects the copper wire from tarnishing, ensuring that she will be bright, shiny, and beautiful for years to come!

ITTY BITTY copper wire baskets, custom order

Less than 2" in diameter, and only about an inch or less tall, they are about the right size to hold a couple of rings and perhaps a pair or two of earrings on your countertop or bedside table. Also available with a hanging wire to hang on your wall or to use as Christmas tree ornaments, or hang from your rear-view mirror!

Copper wire crocheted salt shaker

$20.00
This is my FIRST attempt at crocheting a wrapping around a salt shaker, and it was quite successful! The tricky part about crocheting a wrapping for something like this salt shaker is that the shaker has a body that tapers inward at the top, so the crocheting must be done with the shaker inside the crocheting during the whole process. Getting the crochet hook through the loops with the glass of the shaker on the other side is not easy!!

These shakers took about 3 hours *each* to wrap... Done with two strands of enameled copper wire: the green shaker uses 29 gauge in copper color, and 28 gauge in green wire. The red shaker uses red in 26 gauge, and black in 32 gauge.

I am currently working on a variety of these in several color combinations with my finer wire. Custom requests available. Prices will be per-shaker, with mixing and matching encouraged! If you want just one shaker, please specify whether you would like the red one or the green one, or a custom color.

The copper wire used on these shakers has an enamel coating in a variety of colors. The enamel coating protects the copper from tarnishing, and ensures that these shakers will be bright and shiny for years to come!

The minimum heat tolerance on this enameled copper wire is 155C, 311F, so these should be safe in any dishwasher.

Each crocheted circle measures 1" across, with the total height of each earring measuring 2" from the top of the silver hook to the bottom of the amethyst bead. Each earring takes about an hour to make!

Each green amethyst (also called prasiolite) measures about 10 mm from tip to base, and about 6 mm wide at the rounded base.

The enamel coating on the copper wire will protect the copper and keep it bright and shiny for years to come, and also means that the copper will not turn your skin green!

SAMMIE -- Mischevious tomboy with pink hair -- Crocheted copper wire basket

$60.00
Sammie -- the only acceptable form of "Samantha" in her own mind -- is a wild tomboy with a love of extreme sports and raucous parties. She loves to crank up the stereo in her SUV while she off-roads it in places that were never meant to be drive-able. Though her heart is remarkably soft, and while she has an intense love of handcrafting fine art, Sammie doesn't mind the prickly impression that people generally have of her, and is frankly tickled by the scandalous notions that conservative old biddies have regarding her "preferences", and how she lives her life.

Recently, after a particularly injurious "gravity run" on a mountain bike -- despite wearing full body armor at the time -- Sammie found herself with 30 stitches in her arm, and made a post-ER trip to the drug store where she bought some hair dye to spice up the evening. After bleaching her short-cropped hair white, she added red dye, and was startled and delighted when the resulting color was a bright and striking PINK! She laughed for a good long time at her visage in the mirror, then shrugged and decided to just 'go with it.'

Sammie is a stocky but solid 3 inches tall, and measures 5 inches across at her rim. She is constructed of row-upon-row of tight and even stitches, with 24-gauge green wire crocheted together with 32-gauge black wire to make up her body, and her bright pink hair made up of 24-gauge bare copper wire crocheted together with 26-gauge red wire in two rows of single-crochet stitches. Her construction lasted about 6 hours.

Sammie enjoys a good squeeze and likes to wrestle -- she doesn't injure easily and is stronger than she looks! Her texture is lovely to feel, and lovelier to see! She is always a showboat, and would love to show off for your friends while holding your favorite candies, jewelry, potpourri, or other items. She would also make great candle holder for a short pillar candle, tealight, or votive -- light the candle, and watch her intricate shadows dance across your walls!

The colors that decorate Sammie are from the wire's enamel coating, which is permanent, and protects the copper wire from tarnishing, ensuring that she will be bright, shiny, and beautiful for years to come!

These are made from enameled copper wire, so they are SHINY and BRIGHT, and purely for fun!

Each hat takes about 10-12 hours to make, and is adorned with semi-precious stone beads. The all-copper-colored hat is made for smaller adult heads, with citrine and amethyst chip beads, and a slightly frilly brim that frames the wearer's face. The red hat has a copper-colored stripe, and a single halo of citrine nugget beads, and is made for somewhat larger heads or wearers with thicker hair.

Both are crocheted from enameled copper wire, with the color of the enamel coating determining the color of the hat. The enamel coating protects the copper from tarnishing, ensuring that it will stay bright and shiny for years to come!
