I like this scarf so much that I made one for myself. The colors are so flattering and I like the asymmetry. The pattern is of white birch trees against warm coral and brown tones of a winter landscape. It is long enough to wrap a few times around your neck. The chiffon is light-weight and flows beautifully, showing off the pattern when you wear it loose. I took the original photograph from the top of a mountain with beautiful views, even in winter.

100% silk printed with pigment inks. Hand-washable. Handmade.

Gorgeous drape and colors on this one! The pattern is different on each side. I have made a lot of patterns from my photographs of trees and other plant life and never tire of the variety that can be created. The pattern on this scarf is one of the best I've done, I think. The tree limbs form interesting motifs within the overall pattern on one side. The other side has a little bit softer look with a beautiful blending of colors. I took the original photograph in the fall in upstate New York.

100% silk printed with pigment ink. Hand-washable. Handmade.

This scarf is a soft touch of light blue and gray around your neck. The pattern is of tree limbs through a misty light. The look is of overall softness with accents of linear stripes of the larger tree trunks. The pattern is slightly different on both sides.

100% silk printed with pigment inks. Hand-washable. Handmade. The pattern is from my original photograph of trees on a misty day in late winter, hence the name, "Spring mist"

This is one of my favorite scarves. The silvery gray/blue and terracotta/peach colors just sparkle and shimmer in the Habatoi silk. And it is so soft. If I could print a bolt of this and make PJ's out of it I would be in heaven. This pattern is pretty soft too, and goes well with a wide variety of outfits. Anything where you want a little shine and glimmer at your neck. The scarf is also reversible. Each side has a slightly different pattern and complimentary color scheme.

I took the original photo for the pattern in the fall on an overcast day. The light was soft and shimmery. The name for this scarf, "Silver Mist" tries to capture the feeling of that day.

100% silk printed with pigment inks. Hand-washable. Handmade. I am listing this as a limited edition but it will very likely be a one of a kind.

If you are looking for a striking scarf to wear to a special event this is the one. It is a heavy weight charmeuse that has a wonderful drape and shine. It feels very smooth and luxurious against the skin. The pattern has a distinctive mission/arts and crafts style. The designers of that movement looked to nature for inspiration, as do I. The pattern in this scarf was created from a photo I took of tree branches in a forest in upstate New York. I played with the color of the original photograph for this pattern to achieve the warm golden tones.

Silk Art Scarf -Whisper Green- Limited Edition Photographic Nature Pattern

I just love this scarf! All the elements seem to go together, the color, the texture, the scale of the pattern and the soft, light, flowing silk. The large scale pattern is from a photograph of foxtail barley that I took at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden. It has a fine texture that really lends itself to the softness of the chiffon. A good marriage, I think. You might be interested to know that the color is the actual color of the grass, I didn't do anything to it beyond adjusting the contrast.

The name "Whisper Green" came from the overall softness and the sound of grasses moving in a gentle breeze. The scarf is pigment ink on 100% silk and is hand washable. Handmade. Limited edition.
