Original watercolor pencil Christmas card painting of a lovely tree with ornaments and star. Can you see it?! This "tree" is of a field of Texas Hill country bluebonnets, the "ornaments" are red indian paintbrush flowers, and the "star" is a puffy cloud in the blue sky just in the right place! There is also an "angel" in the sky.

The painting is 5"x7" on a folded watercolor paper card. The card is blank inside. A white envelope with a deckled edge is included. This is an orginal watercolor painting, not a print. Title of the painting is "Bluebonnet Christmas Spirit".

This card would not only convey your Christmas sentiments but a small gift of original art!

I got the idea to make a Christmas card painting a bit "out of the box". As a Texas artist, I've seen lots of bluebonnet in a field paintings and I thought, how about a Christmas tree of bluebonnets? Toyed around with a couple of compositions until I came up with this one. I had fun creating the not so ordinary Christmas card theme with a Texas flair!

Lovely cameos of three bridled horses on an ivory background. These are large 30mm x 40mm gloss finish on hard plastic cabs for jewelry creations. The cab plastic back is white and unbacked. There are 14 available in this set. They are in very good unused condition.

There are no streaks on the cabs, it's the light reflections of indoor light. One pic is under a flash and shows the reflections as well.

I bought these cabs several years ago, thought I was going to do some sort of jewelry project. However, I never got around to it, time passed and I was cleaning out an old craft bag of "stuff". There they were, still wrapped in the package and labeled. I know I'm not going to use them in my art pieces but they are too nice not to be used by someone creative!

Hello, thank you for stopping by! I wanted to make some more horse theme Christmas tags using a piece of rich, dark red silk thread handmade paper. In the creative process after ditching a couple of prototypes, I settled on this design. Here is a silhouette horse head looking through a lucky horseshoe, embellished with just a touch of seasonal greenery. You could use these tags to offer a bit of good luck to the giftee and look good doing it!

Each horse head is hand cut from my own freestyle design. I used a wonderful green silk threaded printable handmade paper. The horseshoe is embellished with either a holly and berry or a couple of tiny green sparkly trees! The outside of the card is bordered with a flat gold nylon ribbon on the top and bottom. Once the card is opened, the writing surface is fine multicolored silk thread beige printable paper, with lots of room for a sweet message. Instead of attaching this card/tag with a ribbon, I've attached a peel and stick foam label. Since each tag is hand cut and embellished they are not all exactly alike, such is the lovable characteristic of handmade items!

Because of the nature of the red paper thickness (180 gsm) it seem to not lay closed flat like I wanted, so I've included a gold cord tie to keep the card or tag closed until ready to be opened.

Specifics:
Card or tag size closed is 2.75" x 2" wide (ribbon side). The inside writing surface is 2 3/8" x 1.75". Each card tie is 4.25" long.

Hello, Thank you for stopping by! The idea came to me about creating some unique cowboy boot Christmas tags from all this wonderful handmade paper I've been collecting! As these tags came to be, I realized that not only can the tags be used for gift packages, but also as an ornament or even a money holder! Or maybe a multi tasking item for all three!!

These cowboy boots are adorned with embellishments and either a cute pony or cowboy Christmas teddy bear paper gift tag. Teddy and pony are printed cutouts from my original watercolor illustrations, pony design came from an actual stuffed plush horse I have. Teddy and pony are printed on a cotton rag watercolor paper and very sturdy. The cowboy boot pattern is my original design as well, using handmade acid free cotton paper. Each boot shank is open as a paper pocket to keep pony or teddy tucked in until the giftee opens them! There is enough room in each boot to not only keep the paper tag but also stuff some cash in as well!

For this pair of boots, a combination of evergreen and berry red handmade silk threaded paper is used. The paper has a great feel too it and is very sturdy. Each boot is decorated with an elegant gold cord down the shank and along the foot on the front of the boot. At the ankle of the boot is a shiny foil green holly and red berries decoration. Each boot also had a gold ribbon pull tab on the front which is perfect to slip a wire hanger through. On the back of each boot is a paper loop where a green nylon cord is threaded through to attach to the gift. This pair of boots has a simple but elegant touch of Christmas color and cheer!

Teddy and Pony tags are not attached to the boot, they can come and go as they please. But if you would rather they stay with their boot, just let me know and I will attach a discrete ribbon to the bottom back of the tag and the boot loop on the back.

On the photos included I've shown what I call "the grandkids tree" or in my case it's the "nieces and nephews tree", to illustrate how these boot tags can be used as money holders too! (Sorry, cash is not included, if I had better luck on my Las Vegas trips this year, maybe....)

Original watercolor pencil painting of a lovely bay horse enjoying a run in a golden meadow surrounded by a warming light. I call this painting "Horse on a Golden Path".

The painting is a 5"x7" size on clayboard known as Aquabord. The clayboard is stiff board not paper so it's not necessary to use a mat when framing. Also, this clayboard surface can be framed without using glass or displayed all by itsself on a stand or small easel. Very versitile for display. With watercolor paintings, they are best kept away from strong light sources so the colors are not damaged. A varnish finish has been applied for protection.

I've included several photos of the painting in different light sources. Getting the colors true to the eye then to digital is a tricky process with watercolors. So the pics are of natural outdoor light in the shade, digital scan, and indoor lighting. Also are two closeups to show the clayboard surface.
