This piece is comprised a a giant Lucite globe (light weight and eye catching at the same time) that reminds me very much of a crystal ball—it’s capped with a very high quality gold toned metal cap. Connected is a WILD and fabulous vintage orange bead flanked by two antique rhinestone rondelles. The top is a high quality vermeil bead capped with a vermeil Bali bead car and fresh water pearl…(one of a pair of gorgeous earrings from Barneys), topped with a black Swarovski faceted 6mm round. It gives the feeling of an old timey vintage circus relic with a story to tell that’s been stashed away in a trunk for years. Make it yours!

The clear round Lucite ball will entrance, and remind you to use your intuition where ever you decide to hang the thing- and remember, it’s Car Bling, but it can go anywhere you want to hang something breathtaking, eye catching and conversational!

This exquisite carved Ivory colored Kuan Yin is detailed on the front as well as the back—she’s completely 3 dimensional. Length 2 3/8" . Acquired from a very tucked away little shop on the east coast many years ago, and I do not know what the material (that's rare for me!) but it “sounds” like stone. It is NOT plastic, or any derivative, bone, or wood. Gorgeous. Beyond the composition of the material, it's important that I mention that this is a sacred piece. Its inherent qualities have been enhanced by my own process of consecrating and charging with purity and healing energy.

Attached to Kuan Yin is a large, fiery Australian 10mm x 8mm opal set in 14K white gold bezel. This is very high grade solid opal- with color and fire beautifully and evenly dispersed through the stone. The opal was selected onsite in Australia, and it's an outstanding stone. The majority of the color is in the reds, giving this a fiery flash throughout-but in taking pictures for this post, every color of the rainbow comes through in different lights- including yellow, green, and blue. The beauty of the stone truly goes undepicted in my photos. Note to self: improve my photography somehow.

The lavender translucent stone is a 7/8” X 5/8” Peruvian Opal, topped with a faceted rock crystal rondelle. All sterling findings and large lobster claw sterling clasp will enable you to hook this anywhere.

This piece is very special to me, and I had a hard time listing it! Finally, it is ready to be sent out with love.

It’s best worn as a pendant or hooked on a lamp or somewhere else you will see it all the time…I have even hooked this on a purse. I would not use this as *Car Bling" because opals are very sensitive to extreme changes in temperature. Give it some water every now and then, but keep away from harsh detergents. The lobster claw clasp can be changed out for something more delicate.

Lavender is the color for the 7th or crown chakra, the ascension chakra, and it very linked to spirituality and the higher self. Opals are designated by many sources as a healing stone for this same chakra. Opal was revered in ancient Greece as the prophecy stone and is said to be a spiritually purifying gemstone, useful in meditation work and for attunement, sensitivity, receptivity, and for becoming a channel of healing for the Goddess. Kuan Yin is widely known in the East as the Goddess of Compassion.

This Charm features an old coin from the Manchurian Provinces. I don’t know much about coins, but I can tell you that in 1911 the Manchu dynasty in China was overthrown, and in January 1912 China was declared a republic, after the boy Emperor Hsuan Tung (later to become better known as Pu-yi) abdicated. That gives you some idea of the date here-it would have been between 1908-1911. This is a GENUINE coin that was once in circulation in exotic places—this is not a reproduction.

The coin has been drilled on top, which obscures the “f” in the word “of”, but on that side it reads
“First Year O(f) Hsuan Tung Manchurian Provinces” and is adorned by a gorgeous dragon. One the other side of the coin are Chinese characters.

This car bling also features a Turquois glass hand blown glass bunny (named Foo Foo) sitting atop a clear crystal square bead with rounded edges and topped with a small glass rondell in turquoise.

Then a 23 mm faceted green fluorite bead (if you lke this bead, check out my Flourite Sprite Necklace- has a similar bead) flanked by three sided rich turquoise crystal beads. A turquoise glass square sits on top.

These earrings are designed with a princess in mind, and feature a huge (14mm) pillowy indigo/sapphire blue faceted freshwater pearl. The beaded detail on the top and bottom lend it a romantic-y reneaissance-like vibe. Dangle drops 1" and unlike many saphhires which can appear black, there is no mistaking this blue for the indigo blueberry gorgeousness that it is.

Vanity Fair Sapphire Princess Bracelet

I don't know if you saw the movie version of Vanity Fair by Thackeray with Reese Witherspoon, but that is one of my all time favorite movies for color, costume and jewelry.

Set in the early 1800's Becky Sharp, the main character (played by Witherspoon) wears a gorgeous deep sapphire silk gown in the opening of the movie. The deep indigo blue silk of her gown is exactly the color of the large 13 mm freshwater pearls used in this piece.

The pearls are deep sapphire blue, and alternate between those drilled side to side, and those drilled top to bottom. Smooth amethyst rondelles (same used in the Purple Passion Empress Necklace and earrings) cut glass amethyst colored barrels, and 4 mm faceted round amethyst beads, deep rich high grade staturation comprise the body of the bracelet. The center stone is a stunning 20mm X 15 mm faceted amethyst stone flanked by sterling bead caps from Bali. Toggle clasp to finish.

The bracelet measures 8 1/4" in length, which if you are comfortable in a 7 1/2 or 8" bracelet, will fit you perfectly (or in other words so that there's some play around the wrist- so it's not super tight).

Tarte of Versailles Pearl Y Necklace

Versailles is every bit as gorgeous as it looked in Marie Antoinette starring Kirsten Dunst- and what eye candy for the ears and eyes that movie was! Next time you’re in Paris, get yourself a jambon sandwich at the local patisserie, hop on the metro and high tail it out of the city- it takes about 25 min to get out there, but you won’t regret it! There is a very powerful aura on those grounds, and it is very easy to slip backwards in time there and feel bits of pieces of what went on there. It’s absolutely spine tingling as well as opulently gorgeous.

Back to business. I propose that every goddess needs an erudite and alluring pearl necklace to prance around in. It’s just the way it is. I think many modern goddesses out there tend to away from pearls because, well they can be quite stodgy sometimes! Be no more distressed my loves, this one manages to be Baroque and modern all at the same time.

There is a good sized and voluptuous freshwater pearl that is at the center of this whole piece- with the smooth sterling bead cap, that piece comes to well over ½” long. Then, sterling angular figure 8 links attach demure yet ghostly glowing 5-6 mm freshwater pearls for a total length of 18”, not including the 1.5” drop.

~Make a wish!~

The gold drop is about 1" long, and a little more than 1/2" wide. This is what you want dropping just down in the cleavage ladies. SERIOUSLY. It's perfect for that.

I used wire wrapping to construct the necklace part of this piece, it's done with 1/2" long smooth clear quartz ovals and sterling wire, the length is 20", with an s- clasp. You can hook it in two places in the back.

I would like to propose that you use this as a manifestation pendant. You can really get scientific with it, or just simply hold it in your hand and make a wish on it before you go out the door to start your day. The stone is thought to bring positive energy and success in manifestation.

Goldstone is the stone du jour around here --it is a man made stone, but it is copper that is responsible for the shiny glitter imbedded in the material!

This Geisha Goddess piece starts with a huge breath taking Asian woman, who I am calling Geisha Goddess here, hand painted including gold paint detail, under glass and framed with an elaborate silver metal frame--48mm x 38 mm. PLEASE NOTE: the charm is reversible, as shown in the picture. The burnt reddish color is on one side, the emerald green color is on the other side. The reversibility of this bead makes it perfect for Car Bling as no matter which way it happens to rotate, you will always get good bling!

Lavender Dragonfly

This is one the most enchanting pieces in my shop—but I’ve long been a fan of dragonflies.

A 1.5 x 2” Sterling Dragonfly presides above 2 large amethyst center stones: one fully faceted 25mm x 18mm amethyst bead, and one 28mm x 15 mm smooth amethyst bead. Two 9 mm deep amethyst smooth cut rondelles act as separator beads, and random charms comprised of different shapes and sizes of amethyst beads and deep grey fresh water pearls fill in the adornments.

There are also square cut Austrian crystal beads in a twinkly shade of pinkish lilac, a sterling flower charm, and all sterling findings and wire.

There are over a hundred carats of limonite quartz in the 17 graduated drops that comprise this necklace. Largest drop is 1/2" by just shy of 3/4" approx ...smallest ones are a bit over 3/8" wide. Delicate teeny tiny irridescent lavendar sead beads fill out this necklace.

The color on these tear drops is amazing and astounding. Not exactly yellow only, not exactly lime only, a combination of both, there is almost a flourescen quality to the color in some lights (I don't think that's too much of a stretch) and there is a depth created by the faceting which shows off the perfect clarity of these stones, as well as the evennes of the color throughout each. This mystical piece utilizes a unique combination of peach moonstone alternating with tiny green austrian crystals, finished with a large transluscent serpentine endless knot pendant. The necklace has a real presence, but remains soft and alluring at the same time.

The moonstones are approx. 16 mm. and the center endless knot pendant is 2" long by 1 3/8" wide.

Center Stone.

The endless knot is a closed, graphic ornament composed of softened, right-angled, intertwined lines. According to Buddhist tradiion the endless knot symbolizes the dramatic interplay and interaction of the opposing forces in the dualistic world of manifestation. It is believed, that the knots lead to union, and ultimately to harmony in the universe. The intertwining of lines reminds us how all phenomena are conjoined and yoked together as a closed cycle of cause and effect. Thus the whole composition is a pattern that is closed on in itself with no gaps, leading to a representational form of great simplicity and fully balanced harmony.

Since all phenomena are interrelated, the placing of the endless knot on a gift or greeting card is understood to establish an auspicious connection between the giver and the recipient. At the same time, the recipient is goaded to righteous karma, being reminded that future positive effects have their roots in the causes of the present. This is because the knot represents a connection, a link with our fates, binding us to our karmic destiny. Not surprisingly, this is one of the most favorite symbols in Tibetan Buddhism, and often occurs independently on its own.

Since the knot has no beginning or end it also symbolizes the infinite wisdom of the Buddha.

It is conjectured that it may have evolved from an ancient naga symbol with two stylized snakes.

The understated, rustic simplicity of this piece is perfection! A compact strand of turquois rondelle beads that fit all snugly together and measure about 1/4" wide lead the eye down toward a dazzling center bead. While I call it a choker, it won't choke you- the length is a comfortable 16.5 inches.

The glorious Pietersite center bead has tiny facets all over the surface of the bead, and it measures almost 3/4" wide, and a bit over 3/8 inch high. The stone's primary color is shiny deep blackish blue, shot with various shades of blue and gold. In the right light, this will flicker beautifully and contrast with the solid matte-ness of the turquois. Just the right lobster claw clasp finished this piece off- not too small, not too big.

Pietersite is often cited in folklore as supportive to the pitutary gland and other endocrine glands which function to produce hormones, and can stimiulate the pineal glad to assist one during meditation (Melody, p. 489). To be honest,I haven't bowled since I was in 5th grade, but after making this necklace I'm thinking I better take it up again. I tell you, before this was ever finished, this piece kept saying "head out to the bowling alley" over and over again! So, whether you bowl or not, keep in mind, this is a bowling ball chic at it's finest.

This Charm features a vintage reproduction coin of Pope Pius XI that is really REAL looking--- beautifully carved. On the front is the Pope picture, and Pius XI Pont Max. On the reverse side is a gorgeous relief of Mary and in Italian: “S.Maria, De Perpetuo, succursu, ora P.N.I.” with angels on each side. The detail on this metal coin (feels like aluminum) is amazing.

After that come stations of vintage black beads wire wrapped into a diamond cluster, cherry red vintage crystal coin beads with aurora borealis finish (a golden rainbow finish) and the clear bead a vintage crystal something- honestly I don’t know what it is, probably a button? My coin necklaces consistantly draw the most attention whenever I do a show. I do these on a limited basis, and currently have only 1 in stock.

7 coins from all over the globe are attached with sterling jump rings to a rich teal silk finished ribbon (finished meaning the silk is about 1 cm wide when rolled open, with a hem on both sides so the material is not only strong, but it will not fray--and can be washed) and thin leather cord combination.

The necklace is crafted with the intention of it being a design that is NOT PRECISE-therefore, you will notice more coins on one side than than the other, and the distances between coins as they are fixed to the silk is random, and the clasp is also a bit randomly structured. The intent here is to convey the opulence of the feeling that a handful of coins conveys, as they might be randomly strewn across a table or in a pocket, or heaped in a treasure chest!

The coins are drilled at the top with a tiny hole and are as follows left to right:

England (1918) 20 cents

Cherry Pop Citrine Earrings

I call these cherry pop citrine earrings not because they are red like cherry pop, but because these free form faceted citrine stones are like little cherries that pop and fizz like soda. Don't worry, I am taking a little poetic license here with the language as usual in order to convey the essence of these. There is literally a crackle-yes, a sound, to the citrine here which is due to the faceting, and the sparkle inherent in these stones. A faceted hematite bead sits atop the citrine, and sterling ball posts complete the picture. For a little earring, (3/4" in length) these really pack a *pop* to the aura.

Citrine is the stone of manifestation....and these would go perfectly with my Citrine City Goddess Necklace, also for sale.

These sumptuous and overly voluptuous in their Baroqueness 14 mm faceted freshwater pearls are saturated with a rich, blood- red firey redness the color of overly ripe pomegranates. (The pictures don't do justice to the color on these.) Hence, the name Persophone. The tale of Persephone from Greek Mythology helps explain.

According to Olypmian myth, Persephone was innocently picking flowers with nymphs when Hades burst through a cleft in the earth and abducted her. The nymphs were changed into sirens by Demeter (another Goddess) for not interveneing on Persephone's behalf. The loss of Pesephone caused grief for Demeter and the people of the land, and soon Zeus realized he had to step into action. Basically, kicked Hades butt, forcing him to return Persephone to him. Wouldn't you know it though, Hades tricked Persephone into eating some pomogranate seeds before going, which meant she would be forced to return to the underworld for one month each year for every seed that she ate.

And so it goes, that when Demeter and her daughter were together, the Earth flourished with vegetation and color, but for four months each year, when Persephone returned to the underworld, the earth once again became a barren realm of darkness.

This 16" necklace is a treat for all the senses! (length can be adjusted) The chain is an unusual silver metal composite chain , rather than pure silver as I usually use....the square toggle clasp is tres stylish and works back beautifully with the rectangular-ish-ness of the pendant.

The pendant is strawberry quartz, and ENCHANTING~! Sophisticate bracelet you say? Why yes! Pink and Chocolate are a VERY sophisticated pairing in home decor these days, and this bracelet comes off very put together and classic.

The center stone is a very excellent piece (and pricey!) of pink chalcedony. I say it's excellent, because many times this stone in pink tends to wash out-- eee gads, we CANNOT have that. This pink is fully deeply saturated with a pink yet still is suitably transluscent. The bead is 1 1/2" long by 3/4" wide and very touchy touchy. Then, the chocolately goodness of the faceted pearls alternates with silver spacer beads all the way to the end where it's finished off with a spiffy twisted silver toggle clasp.

Size: all my bracelets are 8" just because for me, it's easier to make something smaller than it is to make it bigger. If you need smaller, just convo me, and we can work it out! It's all good.

These sterling silver tablets are one of my first forays into silver smithing. There is a simple hole at the bottom of the tablet to accommodate a 4 mm wire- wrapped black, freshwater pearl. These stunning earrings measure 2" long including the ear wire. I always imagined the prophecies of the Oracle at Delphi enscribbed on these sleek silver tablets, and this is how they got their name!

More tidbits:

The foundation of Delphi and its oracle took place before the times of recorded history and its origins are obscure, but dating to the worship of the Great Goddess, Gaia.
Pythia was the priestess presiding over the Oracle of Apollo at Delphi.

The oracle was consulted by emperors and kings before all major undertakings: wars, the founding of colonies, and so forth. There are more than 500 supposed Oracular statements which have survived from various sources referring to the oracle at Delphi. One such prophecy is reported by Wilkopedia, that Emperor Nero, in 67 A.D. only 30 years old and who had just killed his mother, consulted the oracle and was told:

"Your presence here outrages the god you seek. Go back, matricide! The number 73 marks the hour of your downfall!"

He was angered and had the Pythia buried alive. Nero thought he would have a long reign and die at 73. Instead his reign came to a short end after a revolt by Galba who was 73 years of age at the time.
