Handknit in an acrylic mix yarn this shrug is super soft. I added extra detail to the sleeves of the shrug, there is a cable and some lace work stitches, I have also woven some gorgeous hannah hand dyed silk ribbon in a charcoal color and tied a bow for added whimsy. I have also included a removable blossom pin. The blossom is handknit with a deep charcoal gray yarn and has a beautiful czech glass button at it's center. The glass button is a combo of pink, gray and silver. The shrug measures 27.5 inches from sleeve edge to sleeve edge and 15 inches in width from bottom to top. Handknit with two different yarns, the border is a gorgeous handspun from one of my new favorite spinners http://www.lushmommy.etsy.com. She is a genius when it comes to creating beautiful yarn. I used this stunning yarn at the bottom of the capelet. Beautiful pinks, turquoise, cream, seafoam and silver sparkle grace this border. There are pieces of ribbon, fabric and novelty yarns spun into the yarn creating a masterpiece. The main body of the yarn was knit using 2 yarns together throughout, an elegant cream acrylic mixed yarn and a soft, extravagant alpaca yarn in a beautiful turquoise shade. The cape fastens with a glass button (what can I say FGM-faery god mother- likes to work with glass) sewn onto the cape. I have also included a lovely removable flower brooch for further accent. The brooch is handknit in a feminine pale pink with a bit of the art yarn sewn to the center and a vintage bead adding a touch of sparkle to the brooch. This brooch looks lovely on the cape but would also look stunning pinned to a jacket or sweater.

The cape measures 23 inches at neckline, 45 inches at bottom and 11 inches from bottom to top. Brooch is 4.5 x 4 One size fits most.

Schooled In the Church of Punk wrist cuff

This cuff was inspired by all my time spent in the center of a mosh pitt. Not a scary place when your surrounded by friends (ok, I did get slightly injured-nothing broken- once but what else is youth for??). Many weekend nights spent going out to see the latest bands in Asbury Park, NJ. Schooled in all things punk.

This cuff is 99% enviromentally friendly, made from recycled and reclaimed materials. The cuff itself is a charcoal grey felted wool sweater, it is completely lined with duponi silk material in a cool shade of deep lilac. There is a beautiful vintage white cotton lace that is hand sewn onto the lower edge of the cuff. I embelished the cuff with some fabric scraps that are needle felted onto the cuff. Very cool patterns, including safety pins that are "attatched" by a piece of chain left over from one of my now vintage 80's necklaces. There are also some very funky vintage buttons, a piece of pink toile, some hanah silk ribbon in a pale pink. I did some hand embroidery on the floral fabric and added a bunch of white flowers with rhinstones from a pair of vintage earrings. The cuffs attatches with a lobster claw and ring(these are newly purchased). The cuff measures 9 inches in length, space between attatchment is 7.5 inches, the width is 3.5 inches.

This lovely capelet was inspired by queens, royalty, my love of purple and vintage lace.

This capelet has an absolutely stunning handspun yarn at the bottom edge. (the yarn is from the awesomely talented Sara at http://www.lushmommy.etsy.com ). The yarn is a mixture of purples, pinks, cream, sparkle and bit of fabric all spun into a gorgeous yarn. The main part of the cowl is a true purple acrylic mix yarn. I added a very feminine turtleneck that has 2 different patterns so it can be worn up or turned down for a second look. The turtleneck is purple and cream to balance the top and bottom of the capelet. I have also included a one of a kind removable brooch. The brooch is a handknit leaf in a matching cream shade. The leaf is adorned with a vintage millinery purple velvet leaf, a vintage cream shell button, some very rare vintage lace and hanah silk ribbon in cream. The brooch is hand sewn onto felt for stability and attatches with a bar pin. The vintage epherma on this brooch is part of my much coveted collection (my passion is collecting all pretty things vintage).

This cowl is knit with the most luxurious yarn. I confess, I am in love with this yarn. It is sooo soft! And the colors! Vibrant, stunning, beautiful!

This cowl is handknit in a lovely raspberry color. Very hip for this year. The cowl is knit with a beautiful cable on 3/4 and then a solid knit backround on the rest of the cable, this allows the cowl to drape perfectly. The Beach House lariat-FREE US SHIP

This beautiful piece was created for The Fashion, Design and Lifestyle team challenge. Our theme for the month was the Sea Shore. Growing up 5 minutes from the beach and having a grandmother who had a beach house, I spent most of my life either on sand or in the ocean. This piece was inspired by my grandmother's beach house which was in the family for several generations. The piece is eco-friendly. I used 100% certified organic cotton yarn for the knitted piece, recycled beads from an old necklace, recycled vintage lace, a vintage antiqued gold skeleton key (I'm sure this opened someone's beach house doors), vintage doily and some hanah silk ribbon.

This lariat is a converation piece, elegant and beautiful. Half of the lariat is knit in organic cotton yarn and has beautiful sea green beads hand sewn through eyelets in the knitting. The second half of the lariat has a beautiful montage of vintage lace, vintage edging, vintage doily and hanah silk ribbon in seafoam. There is a beautiful rare vintage antiqued gold sekeleton key secured with a seperate piece of silk ribbon. The lariat attatches with a beautiful vintage clasp and ring that came from Paris and was purchased here on Etsy.

This lovely cowl/neck cuff was inspired by all things pretty and feminine. I fell in love with this gorgeous seafoam yarn, it is super soft (a joy to knit) and the color is stunning.

The cowl is handknit with a beautiful merino yarn that is handspun in Uruguay. The color is a lovely seafoam. This cowl will keep your lovely neck warm and is a perfect addition to any wardrobe. I have included a beautiful brooch with the cowl. The brooch is a handknit pink rose that is hand sewn to some stunning one of a kind vintage lace(a rare find on one of my early morning market trips). The brooch also has some vintage seam binding in a silver color and a very unique vintage rhinestone button. The brooch is handsewn onto felt for stability and attatches with a bar pin. It looks beautiful with the cowl but would also add a lovely bit of sparkle to any coat or sweater.

The cowl measures 8.5 inches from bottom to top, 21 inches in circumfrence at the top and 35 inches in circumfrence at the bottom. The brooch rose measures 2.5 x 2 inches. Love Life felted, Upcycled handbag

This beautiful bag is part of my new line of upcycled/recycled handbags. Using mostly recycled materials, this bag incorporates pieces of the past mixed with pieces of today. Much love went into the creation of this stunning bag.

The main part of the handbag is a recycled, wet felted/fulled wool sweater in an elegant light grey shade. I then embelished the bag with a pretty fabric block that states "live life to the fullest" the fabric block has a pretty bee on it and lovely swirls of teals and browns. I added some vintage lace, hanah silk ribbon in a stunning teal color, pearls recycled from an old necklace, a vintage millinery flower that was revived and a vintage skeleton key. All of the pieces have been carefully and securely hand sewn onto the bag. The bag is also fully lined with a whimsical brown and blue print fabric and has a pocket that matches the outside material.

This bag measures 12x12 and has a great pair of highend bamboo handles that are attatched to the bag with some hannah silk ribbon. The bag also closes with a large vintage shell button. This bag was inspired by my love of all things vintage!

Living in the Northeast we are blessed with a change of season. Each season holds something special within itself. Spring and Fall are my personal favorites. I love the sense of renewal and rebirth that comes with spring, and the beginning of the sleep with fall.

This piece includes 2 seperate lariats, they can be worn together for a true burst of gorgeous color or seperate for a focal piece. The first lariat is handknit in a super soft acrylic mix yarn in a stunning shade of orange. At each end of the lariat is a knit leaf. Handsewn onto each leaf is a felted leaf in a pale yellow shade. The felted leaf has much detail on it. I needle felted a pretty cotton fabric, vintage lace, hannah silk ribbon and orange roving onto it. I then embroidered around the edges of the fabric and roving. Also attatched to each leaf is a stunning rare vintage button in a yellow/gold color that has a flower imprinted on it. There is also some swarovski crystals hand sewn on, because every girl deserves a little sparkle. Much love and work went into the creation of this one of a kind lariat. The second lariat is a beautiful green/ chartreuse color knit in a kettle dyed super soft merino yarn. There are leaves at each end of this lariat also. The leaves are hand embroidered and adorned with bows of hannah hand dyed silk ribbon.

The orange lariat measures 57 inches in length and 1.75 inches in width, the leaf is 3.5x5. The green lariat measures 60 inches in length and 1.5 inches in width, the leaf is 4.5x3. These lariats have a nice bit of stretch to them.

This capelet is part of my fantasy collection. Every woman needs a little fantasy in her life. This gorgeous cape is perfect for that special night. I think it will look beautiful dressed up~ perfect for a wedding or party. Just the thing to keep your shoulders warm and your date's eye on you! Intriguing, mysterious, sensuous~ have fun with this piece of wearable art.

Handknit with two different yarns, the border is a gorgeous handspun very high end mohair/wool yarn that has "locks" of purple, lilac, cream and a touch of sparkle throughout. The second yarn is a yummy, soft acrylic mix yarn in a classsic shade of ivory. The cape fastens with a beautiful czech button that is sewn onto the cape and some hannah hand dyed silk ribbon that is woven through the neckline. I have also included a lovely removable brooch for further accent. Much work has gone into the creation of this brooch. Their are 2 hearts. The back larger heart is from a felted beloved sweater in a pretty shade of pale lilac. I have needle felted some dark purple and lighter purple onto the heart for added depth. The second heart is a periwinkle/purple yarn hand knit, felted and then embelished with needle felting (I used some of the purple sparkle roving from the border yarn) it also has a vintage button and some swarovski crystals hand sewn on. The hearts are hand sewn together and attached to a bar pin. This brooch looks lovely on the cape but would also look stunning pinned to a jacket or sweater.

The cape measures 28.5 inches at neckline, 41 inches at bottom and 13 inches from bottom to top. One size fits most.

This gorgeous cream shrug is not only for your big day but to wear over and over again. Long after the dress is packed away, a little reminder of your special day will remain. This shrug has a little bit of glamour to it, yet it is elegantly simplistic.

The shrug is handknit in a soft acrylic mix yarn. I then added a stunning neckline. The neckline is handknit in a soft alpaca yarn, matching the cream of the shrug. The neckline is knit in a loop stitch. The neckline has a slight "ruffle" effect to it that is so beautiful.

The shrug measures 27 inches from sleeve edge to sleeve edge. The width of the shrug from the bottom to neckline is 14 inches. One size will fit most. Xl sizing available by special request.

This lovely shrug is the perfect little accessory for year round. Perfect with jeans or dressed up with a strappy little dress. I also think it's the perfect post yoga cover up.

Handknit in a beautiful denim color acrylic mix yarn this shrug is simply stunning. Perfect for keeping your shoulders warm. I wanted to make this shrug very romantic and feminine. I have included a removable flower pin that has alot of detail. The blossom itself is made from a felted pale yellow recycled sweater. Two pretty flowers have been cut out and hand sewn together. I have needle felted a swatch of satin fabric in a beautiful royal blue with a yellow butterfly onto the top flower. I then embellished the flower with tulle, hannah silk ribbon and a pretty swarovski crystal for a bit of sparkle. The flower is also accented with two royal blue felt "leaves" that have hand stitching for added whimsy. The flower is hand sewn together and onto a piece of felt backing with a bar pin for added stability. One of a kind piece of wearable art!

This scarf is classic elegance. Pure femininity. Pretty. I love this color combination together, and I wanted to create something unique.

The main part of the scarf is handknit in a soft acrylic mix yarn in an elegant shade of cream with spall fleck of brown and black throughout. The scarf is highlighted by the gorgeous handknit ruffles that are at the bottom of each side of the scarf. The ruffles are handknit in a luxurious highend 100% alpaca in the most lovely shade of purple. I fell in love with this yarn at first sight! Each side of the scarf has 2 ruffles, they are handsewn together onto the scarf so that there is no back side it is truly reversable~~ Truly a piece of art. The length of the scarf is 100 inches(including ruffle)~perfect for extra warm wrapping, and the width 3.5 inches.

This capelet was created for the April Fashion, Design and Lifestyle team challenge. Our theme was The Young Victoria movie.

You will look stunning in this feminine capelet, handknit in a pretty shade of purple. The yarn used for the capelet is a super soft kettle dyed merino and the color is just beautiful! I have hand woven some incredible white vintage lace around the neckline. Very feminine and pretty!

This capelet is perfect for year round. Wear it dressed up with a black strappy dress or it is perfect for a sundress topper. It will also look sexy with a pair of jeans and a white tank. This is the perfect accessory!

The capelet measures 10.5 inches in width from bottom to neckline, 34 inches in circumfrence at neckline and 42.5 inches at bottom. This yarn has a lovely amount of stretch and is knit in a lacework pattern that opens up beautifully when worn. Hand wash cold water lay flat to dry.

I confess, I fell in love long ago with all things vintage. Finding some vintage lace, a pretty scrap of fabric or an old funky button thrills me. I am offering some of my favorite finds in my new line of wrist cuffs. These are a funky wrist adornment, something different. Little pieces of history delicately wrapped around your wrist.

This cuff was created with repurposed materials. The cuff is made from a recycled, felted purple cashmere sweater. Soft and luxurious. It was lightly felted for stability (washed and dried several times). The cuff a piece of a lovely vintage table runner hand sewn onto the edges, this gives it a very feminine, whimsical feel. The cuff is then embellished with delicate vintage white lace, vintage shell buttons, pretty pale lilac pearls from a vintage necklace, a metal charm, a swarovski crystal and some stunning hannah silk ribbon that is varigated purple and slate. I also hand sewed a lovely gingham flower with a pale lilac vintage button onto the cuff. The cuff is 5 inches in height and 8 inches in circumfrence with a bit of stretch. One size fits most. This cuff was created with much enjoyment and love.

This stunning capelet was inspired completely by Leanne, the winner of Project Runway. Created for the Fashion Design and Lifestyle team October challenge. PR is one of my favorite shows. I get such inspiration from watching the creative genius of these talented designers. Leanne's final runway show had colors inspired by water/waves. I used a similar color palette for this pretty capelet.

Handknit in a cream acrylic yarn, that is soft and sure to keep your shoulders warm. The bottom of the capelet is a super soft alpaca yarn in a lovely seafoam color. I wanted to make a "wave" appearance with the bottom. I knit a double ruffle in an intricate pattern. The front of the capelet is asymmetrical for a complete "wave" appearance in the texture of this piece. The capelet closes with one of my most coveted vintage buttons, beautiful mother of pearl, large for accent. I also hand sewed swarovski crystals in a muted seafoam around the neckline for a little added sparkle.

This capelet is beautiful for any special occasion. Unique, elegant, a conversation piece. Sized for small/medium. Length accross the top is 33 inches and 35 inches accross the bottom. Yarn has some stretch.

I used a gorgeous art yarn (purchased here on Etsy from http://www.Kittygrrlz.etsy.com) This yarn has a mixture of funky fushia, aqua, yellow and orange novelty yarns mixed with muted matching shades of a thick thin yarn all spun together. The second yarn is a yummy, soft acrylic mix yarn in a super fun shade of sky blue. The cape fastens with one of my most coveted rare vintage buttons that is hand sewn onto the cape. This capelet was created with much enjoyment and love.

The cape measures 26 inches at neckline, 36 inches at bottom and 12.5 inches from bottom to top. This capelet is sized to fit most (xl sizing available by special request).

This lovely shrug is reminiscent of night in Paris...Hand in hand with your love, soft breezes in the air, promises whispered in your ear. So romantic. This shrug is handknit in a gorgeous higher end yarn in a beautiful color of deep eggplant. The yarn is a soft merino wool and the color is stunning.

I highlighted the shrug with a stunning silver grey border. The beautiful border is knit in a lace pattern with 2 yarns held together throughout. The first yarn is a soft kettle dyed merino wool in a lovely shade of light grey, the second is a delightfully soft mohair in a silver shade.

This shrug is the perfect accessory to compliment your wardrobe. It will look perfect with a pair of jeans and a pretty white t, or it is great for a night out on the town (or who knows...maybe that trip to Paris). It's also the perfect shoulder warmer post yoga class.

This gorgeous newsboy cap is named after my beautiful little niece :) who is just the sweetest girl! I used a stunning higher end hand painted yarn to knit this cap. The yarn is a soft wool worsted mix in lovely shades of pink, purple, green and blue. It is the perfect accessory for now all the way thru spring. I think it looks great with jeans or I wear mine out for a night of dancing :)
