As I was painting this my husband commented on the fact that this looked like a French Quarter New Orleanean who should have a cigar in one paw and a killer etouffee recipe in the other. Claude's painting is 10" x 10" with 1 3/8" profile. This is hand drawn, hand painted in acrylics on canvas, and accented with paper and ink. The background color continues on the sides of the canvas.

Poke Boat Nose the Greyhound

This is a painting of my greyhound Rosie. She has what has to be the largest dog overbite in the world. I took a photo while she was sleeping upside down (roaching) and painted from it. This painting is acrylic on 8” x 24” canvas. The sides of the canvas are 1 3/8” deep and the sides are painted deep purple to match the background. The collar is a double layer of paper accented with ink and it overlaps the sides of the canvas.

Custom Painted Portrait 16 x 20 - One Pet

I work on stretched canvas with acrylic paints. The portrait is sold unframed and intended to be hung that way, but you can of course, frame it if you wish. Portraits take about three weeks, but can take more or less time to complete depending on the time of year and demand. At time of order, I can give you a more accurate estimate of current completion times.

Email or mail me 3-5 photos along with a description of your pet's personality. Don’t worry about the background of your photos. If you like the style of a specific painting on my site, or if you have requests for a specific background color please let me know. I compose the painting based on the photo(s) you send. I can show you the image or the background color(s) I selected for approval before I start drawing and painting, if requested. Please note that all monitors show color differently so the color will not be exact. Once that is completed, then I draw it on the canvas and paint away. My paintings are all hand drawn and painted by me.

If you are interested in a different sized canvas or would like two or more pets in a portrait let me know and I can give you a price and a custom listing.

I retain the rights to use a digital image of your portrait on my website or any other advertising.
