Case pieces are a thorough test of our talent. Never a production piece, each one develops a "personality" in the shop. The drawers and case are numbered, and the piece is signed and given a shop # for future reference. We keep full notes on the construction and finish.
The drawers are center guided and side hung on handmade, hardwood glides and slides. 5/4" lumber is used on the case and top, and the side paneling is resawn and matched from thicker boards. Traditional mortise and tenon construction. The dust panels are dovetailed into the legs. The drawers are dovetailed construction.
FULL dust panels and reinforced at all stress points. The case is battleship strong. The piston fit of the drawers rewards with a satisfying "woosh" of air as the drawers are opened and closed. The case is sealed and the air enters and exits at the top in back....no drawing floor dust into the case onto your clothes !!
I could go on and on. Our case pieces are our finest work. Long hours are spent assembling and fitting each and every component. Prior to that, every detail is considered.

The drawer pulls shown are British imports accounting for $700. of the price. We have a wide range of drawer pulls available.
Our favorite is a cast bronze, that is artfully crafted, cleanly fashioned and comfortable AND reduces the price to $5400.00.

Our three children have been taught by us, and work full time in the shop. We live very rural, and practice sustainability at every level. As we produce our own wood, we also produce 90% of our food. Each summer we plant 2 acres of garden and orchard. With this, we fill several 24 cu. Ft. freezers and several thousand canning jars.

Superb, hand rubbed, finish. The aniline dye and multiple coats of hand rubbed lacquer put this in a class by themselves.

The Bed is made from Quartersawn Oak. The stretcher boards are over an inch thick. We do not use thinner,4/4 lumber. All of our work is cut from thicker 5/4" (one and a quarter inches at the start) boards. These beds are made one at a time. All the joints are hand cut, hand fitted, and cross-pinned with white oak dowels after gluing.

The beautiful paddle top, the gentle taper on the legs, and the delightful corbels, set this bed apart from any, "off the shelf" furniture.
The grain is very elegant and well matched. The finest construction and finish are evident throughout this piece.
ALL of our work is handmade, one piece at a time. We use machinery to produce the components. After that, there are far more chisels and hand planes used than power saws and sanders....
HANDMADE WITH A DEEP HAND RUBBED FINISH.Our colors are a favorite among Arts & Crafts antiques collectors.

Our Finish is second to none....It is Deep...Rich...and Elegant. We wet every part, and the finished piece, with hot water many times as we sand them, before staining. This raises the grain several times, and guarantees the finish will still be as elegant in 100 years as it is now....

Between each coat of the stain, sealer, glaze, and three coats of lacquer, we sand the piece with 320 grit for a FINISH THAT IS AS WONDERFUL TO FEEL AS IT IS TO SEE. FINALLY, We HAND RUB the entire piece with rubbing lubricant and FINE Scotchbrite pads for a JADE SMOOTH FINISH.
The nature of the type of DYES, and GLAZE that we use produces a finish that emphasizes the different texture in each board, rather than attempt to make every square inch the same color. This produces color patterns that match those found in early Mission antiques.
AS MUCH AS OUR FINISH BLENDS WITH ANTIQUES, IT IS A DURABLE, MODERN FINISH. WE USE THE FINEST VINYL SEALER AND WATER RESISTANT LACQUER. IT IS HIGHLY ALCOHOL AND WATER RESISTANT.

Our Finish is second to none....It is Deep...Rich...and Elegant.
We wet every part, and the finished piece, with hot water many times, and sand them, before staining. This raises the grain several times, and guarantees the finish will still be as elegant in 100 years as it is now....
We finish all of our work using Water Soluble Aniline Dyes for a crystal clear, deep color.Aniline dyes are known for their deep rich color, absolute clarity, and colorfastness.
These dyes are hard to master, and almost never used commercially.
Between each coat of the stain, sealer, glaze, and three coats of lacquer, we sand the piece with 320 grit for a FINISH THAT IS AS WONDERFUL TO FEEL AS IT IS TO SEE. FINALLY, We HAND RUB the entire piece with rubbing lubricant and FINE Scotchbrite pads for a JADE SMOOTH FINISH.
The nature of the type of DYES, and GLAZE that we use produces a finish that emphasizes the different texture in each board, rather than attempt to make every square inch the same color.
This produces color patterns that match tose found in early Mission antiques.AS MUCH AS OUR FINISH BLENDS WITH ANTIQUES, IT IS A DURABLE, MODERN FINISH. WE USE THE FINEST VINYL SEALER AND WATER RESISTANT LACQUER. IT IS HIGHLY ALCOHOL AND WATER RESISTANT.

THE BUREAU IS 34.5" TALL AND THE TOP IS 21 X 64.It has beautiful Cast Brass pulls.

The finest construction techniques were used to make this piece of casework. There are dovetailed drawers that have center guides and are side hung on handmade wooden glides. Full, solid dust panels between the drawers, are dovetailed into the legs. Corner blocks on the dust panels assure that this piece will be solid for many, many decades.

34.5" tall X 21" deep X 64" long

#6- 8" Deep Drawers, and #3 - 5" Deep Drawers. Hand cut paneled sides. FULL dust panels for strength. Side hung, Center guided, Dovetailed drawers glide smooth as silk on their wooden runners. 5/4" thick top...MASSIVE throughout, these pieces weigh nearly 400 lbs!!!

Case pieces are a thorough test of our talent. Never a production piece, each one develops a "personality" in the shop. The drawers and case are numbered, and the piece is signed and given a shop # for future reference. We keep full notes on the construction and finish.
The drawers are center guided and side hung on handmade, hardwood glides and slides. 5/4" lumber is used on the case and top, and the side paneling is resawn and matched from thicker boards. Traditional mortise and tenon construction. The dust panels are dovetailed into the legs. The drawers are dovetailed construction.
FULL dust panels and reinforced at all stress points. The case is battleship strong. The piston fit of the drawers rewards with a satisfying "woosh" of air as the drawers are opened and closed. The case is sealed and the air enters and exits at the top in back....no drawing floor dust into the case onto your clothes !!
I could go on and on. Our case pieces are our finest work. Long hours are spent assembling and fitting each and every component. Prior to that, every detail is considered.
We have a wide range of drawer pulls available, this piece has our favorite on it. Cast bronze, they are artfully crafted, cleanly fashioned and comfortable.

The table is made from Hard, Dense Ash. The tops are over an inch thick. We do not use thinner,4/4 lumber. All of our work is cut from thicker 5/4" (one and a quarter inches at the start) boards.

The grain is very elegant and well matched. The finest construction and finish are evident throughout this piece.

The finest construction techniques were used to make this piece of casework. There are dovetailed drawers that have center guides and are side hung on handmade wooden glides. Full, solid dust panels between the drawers, are dovetailed into the legs. Corner blocks on the dust panels assure that this piece will be solid for many, many decades.
