$63.00
One of a kind, copper switchplate (for one light switch) onto which I have etched my signature Tree of Life design. I've antiqued the vines and leaves to enhance their detail, and applied a lacquer to prevent tarnishing. Two copper screws are provided.

Creating pieces for the home is a whole new venture for me! I may use the same theme, but no two of my switchplates are alike. This is truly jewelry for your environment.
The pendant features a wing on the front and the words "Aham Prema" on the back. This is my favorite mantra and translates from Sanskrit to mean "I am Divine love". It is said to help us realize, and connect with, our highest potential for love.

$70.00 from the sale of this pendant will be donated to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to help fund research and treatment. If you would like me to make the donation in someone's honor, please give me that information in the comments section.

I am not affiliated with Sloan-Kettering- I just wish to support their work in any way I can.

Thank you!

Flanking the stones on the side of the ring are sculpted roses and leaves, and carved spirals. This is a very flattering ring when worn!

Both of these stones are so special: the Labradorite has a glorious, intense flash of bright blue/turquoise. The moonstone is amazing: it has bright stripes of color that range from golden amber to cobalt blue.

This particular ring is a size 8.25, but I will be happy to make it in any size you wish. Please feel to contact me!

This ring is from the Fata Morgana collection

As I held them up to the light, much to my delight, I discovered that they had wonderful streaks of citrine. The overall color has a subdued, smoky quality. They are very elegant.

I have never owned a piece of jewelry that has garnered so much attention and so many compliments as this one. I've been asked on many occasions to make a copy and, finally, I decided to do it. It is a very special piece and dear to my heart. My hope is that it will bring its owner as much joy and luck as mine has.

A note on bronze: this ring may leave a mark when worn(but it may not). A person with a more acidic system is more likely to have a reaction than someone who is more alkaline. A beautiful patina will emerge on this piece as it ages.
I've applied a greenish patina to give the ring an antique feel.
This ring is a size 7, but can be sized from 5-10. Please state your size preference in the comments section.

I recently discovered pink silver and it was love at first sight! This is silver mixed with copper to give it a glorious, rosy glow. I accidently stamped this ring "sterling", but due to the copper content it is not sterling. Pink silver is considered "silver" just not "sterling silver". I apologize for any confusion this might cause.
If you are a fan of rose gold you will love pink silver, too!

This is far and away my best selling piece. I have yet to see a hand it doesn't look beautiful on!
I have manipulated them a bit and applied a verdigris patina to the patterned portion that reminds me of snake skin. A 15mm round, bezel-set, faceted, carnelian cabochon is featured. It sits up just under 1/2" on the finger.
This piece is currently a size 7 1/2, but can be sized from 5-10. Please let me know your preference in the comments section.
I created this ring out of a desire to have something with the presence of a cocktail ring, but comfortable enough to wear everyday. This piece certainly lives up to that! The carnelian is a glorious, showstopper, deep orange that reminds me of a piece of candy.
This ring is from the "Smoke and Mirrors" collection.

The band is just over 1/4" (8mm) in width and has a wonderful, substantial weight.

Depending on the culture, the peacock feather as a symbol can represent renewal, wisdom, wholeness, beauty and/or immortality. In India there is a belief that the eye of the peacock feather can forsee approaching danger and avert it.

This ring is currently an 8, but can be sized to any size you wish. Given its width I do recommend ordering a half size larger than you'd normally wear. Please let me know your preferance in the comments section.

The pendant is suspended from an 18" sterling, cable and bead chain that closes with a spring ring clasp.

I found a beautiful ornamental design from the Victorian age that reminded me of a cross between a nautilus and a vine. It is my interpretation of this design that decorates the key. I also applied a light antiquing to the etching to highlight the detail.

The peridot is a really beautiful, vibrant, grass green!

Smoke Wing Cicada Ring- Rainbow Moonstone

$260.00
2 " long sterling silver, cicada featuring an 8mm x 4mm, bezel-set, pear shaped, rainbow moonstone. The cicada is perched upon a delicate band ring, carved with a swirling vine pattern.

This ring is made to order. Please allow up to 3 weeks for it to be shipped to you. And please feel free to contact me with any questions!

This is truly one of my all time favorite pieces. It is incredibly dramatic, yet very comfortable due to the way the cicada's wings curve. The moonstone is absolutely stunning with a marvelous play of color, from indigo to turquoise. People always notice this ring: it spreads magic wherever it goes.

I have always wanted to create insect inspired jewelry. I came upon some beautiful, modern, brass stampings of insects which I purchased and took home to study. As I started to look at them I began redesigning and altering them. In the case of this little creature I took away quite a few of its original elements and added a few of my own. For the motif on the wings I was inspired by the idea of the cicada flying through a veil of smoke. This is very much an hommage to Art Nouveau.

This ring is from the "Smoke and Mirrors" collection.

The pendant is suspended from a 24", sterling silver box chain with a spring-ring clasp.

This topaz has so much life! It is a sky blue topaz and has such a vibrant, uplifting shade.

These are one of the few pieces I have polished to a high shine.
The tiger's eye have a magnificent luster and so much life. I just adore this bronze! It is lighter in weight than sterling silver and is the shade of antique gold. These earrings have a lot of presence, but they are also very comfortable.

The pendant features a wing on the front and the words "Aham Prema" on the back. This is my favorite mantra and translates from Sanskrit to mean "I am Divine love". It is said to help us realize, and connect with, our highest potential for love. I also made the surface on which the mantra is carved concave to fit the thumb and provide a tactile, calming quality.

I recently discovered pink silver and it was love at first sight! This is silver mixed with copper to give it a glorious, rosy glow. I accidently stamped this pendant "sterling", but due to the copper content it is not sterling. Pink silver is considered "silver" just not "sterling silver". I apologize for any confusion this might cause.
If you are a fan of rose gold you will love pink silver, too!

$65.00 from the sale of this pendant will be donated to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. If you would like me to make the donation in someone's honor, please give me that information in the comments section.

I am not affiliated with BCRF- I just wish to support their work in any way I can.

Thank you!
Turquoise in Roses

$158.00
1 1/4" long, bronze pendant featuring a bezel set,20mm x 10mm marquise-shaped, faceted, green, turquoise cabochon suspended from a delicate, 18", gold filled chain. The stone is surrounded by 3 sculpted, roses and leaves.

This bronze is such a spectacular color- it really looks like very old gold (and has fooled many into thinking it was). The turquoise is a paler green than I notmally see in this stone. It lends a wonderful vibrancy to the piece, and is a great contrast to the bronze.

**A note on bronze: this ring may leave a mark when worn(but it may not). A person with a more acidic system is more likely to have a reaction than someone who is more alkaline. A beautiful patina will emerge on this piece as it ages, but can be removed with a jewelry cloth. Should you desire, I will be more than happy to apply a liquid that prevents bronze from marking the skin, please just let me know in the comments section.

This pendant is from the "Smoke and Mirrors" collection.
(The sterling version of this necklace is shown on the model simply to give asense of scale).
The Wisdom of Snakes

$90.00
A bronze snake ring with hammer-textured skin that coils around the finger twice. It is a size 6, but can be adjusted down to a size 5, please let me know your preference.

Snakes are one of my favorite motifs in jewelry. They represent wisdom, transformation, and healing. This ring is a personal triumph for me: I carved the whole thing, in the round from a block of wax- this is something I wouldn’t have been able to do a year ago. More than any other piece of jewelry I’ve made this ring seems old. The snake looks like it has been around for thousands of years and would have a lot to say if asked.

This ring is also available with burnished-set stones for eyes. Please contact me with any questions.

I recently wrote a piece about this ring: http://lurajewelry.blogspot.com/
This piece is from the "Smoke and Mirrors" collection.

I've created a texture on the metal that is not quite hammered, but lends a very ancient quality to the piece. The onyx is polished to a high shine and reminds me of some sort of magical egg.

This ring is a size 7.5, but I can create it for you in any size you wish! Please feel free to contact me.

This piece is part of my ongoing desire to create rings that have the boldness of a cocktail ring, but still have that deeply personal quality our most loved jewelry tends to evoke.

***A note on bronze: this ring may leave a mark when worn(but it may not). A person with a more acidic system is more likely to have a reaction than someone who is more alkaline. A beautiful patina will emerge on this piece as it ages, but can be removed immediately with a polishing cloth
The interior of the bracelet is 2 3/4" in diameter.

The Heracles knot is a symbol dating back to 3rd century B.C.Greece and Rome. It was considered a protective amulet, and symbol of love and marriage. It represented a feminine rite of passage and was often worn by brides on their wedding day; thus originating the phrase "tying the knot."
**A note on bronze: this bracelet may leave a mark when worn(but it may not). They are 1 3/4" in length with a satin finish and completed with gold filled ear wires.

A few years ago I visited the University Museum in Philadelphia and was stopped in my tracks by the headdress of Lady Puabi found in the archaelogical dig at Ur. It is a wonder of lapis, carnelian and an abundance of hammered, high karat gold. This piece is dated 2600-2500 BCE, yet is completely timeless. Part of the headdress is a pair of quite large, spiraling boat-shaped hoop earrings. I was so inspired by them that I decided to make my own interpretation. I'm just thrilled with how these turned out; they are truly one of my all time favorite pieces.

(The earrings shown on the model are the sterling version)

This piece is 2 1/4" long by 3/4" wide and features a rectangular, prong-set, 18mm x 13mm Labradorite. The pendant is suspended from an 18", black rubber and bead chain that closes with a lobster clasp. The bail of the back of the piece is quite large and will accomodate almost any chain you can dream of.

This Labradorite is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. The colors range from mossy green to blue to amber; the colors of the forest.

Depending on the culture, the peacock feather as a symbol can represent renewal, wisdom, wholeness, beauty and/or immortality. In India there is a belief that the eye of the peacock feather can forsee approaching danger and avert it.

The pendant is suspended from a 24", sterling silver box chain with a spring-ring clasp.

This rainbow moonstone is really beautiful! It has flashes of indigo that move into turquoise and gold. It reminds me of moving water.

This is very much an hommage to Art Nouveau

I wanted to create a piece where it felt as though you were wearing your own crystal ball.

This bracelet is from "The Vision and the Garden" collection.
It is finished with a bronze, toggle clasp that I created with a vine and leaf motif.

These briolettes were a glorious discovery. I originally purchased them to make earrings, but I thought it would be a shame not to wear them all at once in one piece. They have an incredibly lively play of blue-green flashes.

In the center of the flower is a bezel-set, 5mm round, faceted, amethyst cabochon. The ring is 1" at it's widest point and sits about 1/2" high.

This ring is a size 7, but can be sized from 5-10. Please let me know your preference in the comments section.

A lovely friend of mine surprised me with a bouquet of the most glorious chrysanthemums I have ever seen. I was so taken with the structure of the petals that I placed the flowers on my bench and decided to create a piece of jewelry. This is the ring that emerged.

The first is an 18mm x 13mm, oval, chalecony cabochon set in a sterling wire setting. The second charm is an 8 x 4 mm, faceted, pear shaped, sky blue topaz in a sterling wire setting as well. The necklace finishes with a lobster clasp and a faceted, white topaz briolette.

According to gemstone lore, all the stones included in this necklace are said to bring peace, tranquility and healing to the wearer (as well as keeping negative energy at bay). It's a really lovely and serene piece.

Please note that the topaz used in this piece is natural in color-- it was not irradiated!

Art Nouveau Leaf Earrings- Bronze and Lapis

$250.00
2 1/2" long earrings of bronze, open-work, Art Nouveau-inspired, leaves covered with a carved, spiralling vine design. Suspended from the leaves are 18mm x 13mm, pear shaped, faceted, lapis cabochons. The back of the bezel setting has an etched, spiral motif. These earrings are finished with gold filled, French, ear wires.

I love the combination of bronze with lapis; the look is so rich and warm. The cabochons are just incredible! The blue is almost a cobalt and the bronze picks up, and highlights, the pyrite deposits within the lapis. I am just thrilled to have found these stones.

These earrings aren't exactly heavy, but they aren't light either. Those with sensitve ears may want to note this.

I've included a photograph of the sterling/onyx version on the model to provide a sense of scale.

A lovely, vintage pendant of peridot and sterling, to which I have attached a large, faceted, Labradorite briolette. This pendant is suspended from an 18"-20" (45.72cm-50.8cm)adjustable necklace of sterling silver curb chain with intervals of jade and peridot beads. The necklace culminates in a hammered, sterling hook and eye clasp. The pendant's length is 2 1/2" or 6.35cm

All the peridot and jade in this piece are beautiful shades of vibrant green. The Labradorite is truly out of this world! The flash of color ranges from amber/gold to bright green/turquoise.

Suspended within the frame are beautifully cut, citrine briolettes. I've applied an antique finish to highlight the marvelous lions flanking the frame and scroll-work detail. These earrings are finished with sterling, french, ear wires that incorporate granulation.

Normally I am not a fan of two tone jewelry, but I combined the bronze with silver because it seems to lend an even older, more mysterious quality to the piece.

I stumbled upon a cache of vintage brass, bronze and copper stampings. I was just so taken with their beauty and form I had to work with them in some way-- they truly have a grace from another era and constantly inspire me.

A 2mm round, faceted, amethyst is set in the center flanked by two 2mm, round, faceted rhodolite garnets. All three stones are set with 14kt bezels.

These stones are more subtle in color: the amethyst has a plum shade to it,and the garnets are almost a dark mauve.

This ring is currently a size 7.5, but can be sized from 5-10. Please let me know your preference in the comments section.

It may be smaller in scale than the pieces I normally create, but it is just so lovely, and has a real grace to it.

Suspended from the bronze are 18mm x 15mm rustically faceted, rose quartz drops. I've applied a very light verdigris patina to highlight detail and finished these earrings with bronze, lever-back earwires.
I stumbled upon a cache of vintage brass, bronze and copper stampings.

Mermaid Ring-- Sterling Silver

This ring is just over 1/2" at its widest point.

In its original state, this ring was a marvelous, vintage, copper finding. I was so taken with the contrast of this rustically carved and weathered face against the ornate waves of her hair that I turned it into a ring. I then went ahead and had a mold made of it and had it cast in sterling silver. I can't take credit for the actual carving of this piece (although I wish I could), only how it was utilised.

She's so charming and reminds of the mermaid figureheads sometimes seen on the prow of old ships.

This ring is currently a size 8, but can be sized anywhere from 6 or larger. Please let me know your preference in the comments section.
This piece is 2 1/4" long by 3/4" wide and features a rectangular, prong-set, 18mm x 13mm blue lace agate as well as a 4mm, round, facted iolite bezel-set within the eye of the feather. The pendant is suspended from an 18", cable and bead chain that closes with a spring ring clasp. The bail of the back of the piece is quite large and will accomodate almost any chain you can dream of.

Depending on the culture, the peacock feather as a symbol can represent renewal, wisdom, wholeness, beauty and/or immortality. In India there is a belief that the eye of the peacock feather can forsee approaching danger and avert it.

In stone lore, blue lace agate is said to promote tranquility, lessen anxiety, and assisit in flight(as well as higher spiritual planes). Iolite was used by Norse navigators as the world’s first polarizing filter. Looking through an Iolite lens, they could determine the position of the sun on overcast days and navigate their boats safely.

The bracelet is 7 1/2" long and culminates with a non-vintage, brass toggle clasp.
The charms are:
1) A woman's face in profile atop a four petaled flower. I have antiqued this charma and suspended a 18mm x 13mm turquoise drop.
2)An antiqued horse show with a garlend of flowers draped over it( for luck)
3)A branch with two leaves that I have applied a verdigris patina to.
4)A 3 dimensional rose with a verdigris patina applied to the petals. A 16mm x 13mm, clear, quartz briolette is suspended from the center of the flower.
5)A wonderful, antiqued knot
6)A woman in profile wearing a wide brim hat strewn with sunflowers or daisies.
7)A cluster of leaves with a verdigris patina. This charm is the only non-vintage piece on the bracelet- but so lovely that I decided to incorporate it.
8)A slightly elongated heart on a branch. The heart has a marvelous scrolled engraving that I have highlighted by antiquing.
9)A bunch of flowers with a butterfly that I have applied a verdigris patina to. On the back of this charm you will see some solder from its previous existance.
10) A round, open-work medallion to which I have also applied a verdigris patina.
11)A floral, openwork medallion that I have antiqued to show detail.
All the charms are attached with gold filled wire.
This is a very dramatic bracelet with a wonderful sound to it!

I stumbled upon a cache of vintage brass and copper stampings.
$220.00
Sterling silver ring carved with a swirling, spiraling, design inspired by smoke. A bezel set,20mm x 10mm marquise-shaped, faceted, malachite cabochon is featured.

This ring is currently a size 6, but I can make it for you in any size you wish. Please feel free to contact me!

A note about malachite:
Malachite is a softer stone. If you are hard on your rings, this may not be the piece for you. It is really beautiful on the hand (and elongates the fingers!), but does require a certain amount of care.

This ring is from the "Smoke and Mirrors" collection.

SALE- Amethyst and Diamond Spiral Ring

A bezel set,12mm, round, faceted, amethyst cabochon is featured surrounded by 3 burnished set diamonds, .09 total carat weight. This ring is currently a size 6 3/4, but can be sized from 5-10. Please let me know your size preference in the comments section.

This is my favorite version of this ring so far! The amethyst has a glorious faceting which reminds me of a rose cut. This piece has so much presence, it would be a wonderful cocktail ring. Worn on the pinkie it is particularly chic.

A note on the color: All the photographs I took of this stone seem to have given a bit of a blue cast to it. The photo that captures the color of the ring most accurately can be found on the right hand side, second from the top. The amethyst is a true, royal purple.

This ring is a final sale.

Smoke Wing Cicada Earrings

$278.00
2 1/2" long sterling silver, cicada earrings featuring 8mm x 4mm, bezel-set, faceted, pear shaped, white topaz. The earrings are suspended from handmade, sterling ear wires.
********
Two notes:
These earrings aren't exactly heavy, but they aren't terribly light either. Those with sensitive ears should note this.
These cicadas have proved to be one of the most difficult pieces to photograph. Please know that the pictures don't do them justice- they are far more sparkling in person.

The pendant is 2 1/2" long by 1/1/4" wide and is suspended from an 18", black rubber and sterling bead necklace that closes with a lobster clasp.

I have always been taken by the arresting photo of silent film star Theda Bara in costume as Cleopatra. She has her hands raised to her head and gazes very intently at the viewer out of her kohl rimmed eyes. On her head is a snake inspired turban, and on her breasts she wears two bejeweled snakes as well. It is those snakes that inspired this necklace.

This is truly one of my all time favorite pieces. When worn it is incredibly elegant and looks very powerful.
