An elongated, marquise shaped ring featuring an 8mm round, bezel-set Labradorite and a 14mm x 10mm pear shaped, bezel-set rainbow moonstone. Flanking the stones on the side of the ring are sculpted roses and leaves, and carved spirals. This is a very flattering ring when worn!

Both of these stones are so special: the Labradorite has a glorious, intense flash of bright blue/turquoise. The moonstone is amazing: it has bright stripes of color that range from golden amber to cobalt blue.

I have taken the liberty of manipulating them a bit and adding smooth, kyanite drops. The kyanite has a lovely streak of Tanzanite in one drop. I made the original version of this ring for myself, very spontaneously, a few years ago; I just sat down at my bench without knowing what I was going to make and this ring emerged. I have never owned a piece of jewelry that has garnered so much attention and so many compliments as this one. I've been asked on many occasions to make a copy and, finally, I decided to do it. It is a very special piece and dear to my heart. My hope is that it will bring its owner as much joy and luck as mine has.

A note on bronze: this ring may leave a mark when worn(but it may not). A person with a more acidic system is more likely to have a reaction than someone who is more alkaline. A beautiful patina will emerge on this piece as it ages.

I recently discovered pink silver and it was love at first sight! This is silver mixed with copper to give it a glorious, rosy glow. I accidently stamped this ring "sterling", but due to the copper content it is not sterling. Pink silver is considered "silver" just not "sterling silver". I apologize for any confusion this might cause.
If you are a fan of rose gold you will love pink silver, too!

This is far and away my best selling piece. I have yet to see a hand it doesn't look beautiful on!

These earrings have round, tumbled carnelian suspended at the bottom and are finished with French, gold-filled earwires.

These earrings are wonderfully long and dramatic. The carnelian is a beautiful, reddish orange and will bring a great deal of attention to the face.

This is an 18mm Lapis cabochon surrounded by calla lilies with a tangle of vines creating the bail. The total length of this sterling silver pendant is 1 3/4" and hangs from an 18" adjustable black, organza ribbon with a sterling lobster claw clasp.

The lapis cabochon is a slightly darker blue than it appears in the photos. What makes this particular stone so wonderful is a marvelous deposit of pyrite that adds a lot of character.

I found a beautiful ornamental design from the Victorian age that reminded me of a cross between a nautilus and a vine. It is my interpretation of this design that decorates the key. I also applied a light antiquing to the etching to highlight the detail.

This is truly one of my all time favorite pieces. It is incredibly dramatic, yet very comfortable due to the way the cicada's wings curve. The moonstone is absolutely stunning with a marvelous play of color, from indigo to turquoise. People always notice this ring: it spreads magic wherever it goes.

I have always wanted to create insect inspired jewelry. I came upon some beautiful, modern, brass stampings of insects which I purchased and took home to study. As I started to look at them I began redesigning and altering them. In the case of this little creature I took away quite a few of its original elements and added a few of my own. For the motif on the wings I was inspired by the idea of the cicada flying through a veil of smoke. This is very much an hommage to Art Nouveau.

This bronze is such a spectacular color- it really looks like very old gold (and has fooled many into thinking it was). The turquoise is a paler green than I notmally see in this stone. It lends a wonderful vibrancy to the piece, and is a great contrast to the bronze.

A bronze snake ring with hammer-textured skin that coils around the finger twice. It is a size 6, but can be adjusted down to a size 5, please let me know your preference.

Snakes are one of my favorite motifs in jewelry. They represent wisdom, transformation, and healing. This ring is a personal triumph for me: I carved the whole thing, in the round from a block of wax- this is something I wouldn’t have been able to do a year ago. More than any other piece of jewelry I’ve made this ring seems old. The snake looks like it has been around for thousands of years and would have a lot to say if asked.

Bronze, oval bangle bracelet featuring a knot of Heracles and covered in twisting grapevines. The interior of the bracelet is 2 3/4" in diameter.

The Heracles knot is a symbol dating back to 3rd century B.C.Greece and Rome. It was considered a protective amulet, and symbol of love and marriage. It represented a feminine rite of passage and was often worn by brides on their wedding day; thus originating the phrase "tying the knot."

Bronze, boat shaped, hoop earrings with a leaf and vine detail. They are 1 3/4" in length with a satin finish and completed with gold filled ear wires.

A few years ago I visited the University Museum in Philadelphia and was stopped in my tracks by the headdress of Lady Puabi found in the archaelogical dig at Ur. It is a wonder of lapis, carnelian and an abundance of hammered, high karat gold. This piece is dated 2600-2500 BCE, yet is completely timeless. Part of the headdress is a pair of quite large, spiraling boat-shaped hoop earrings. I was so inspired by them that I decided to make my own interpretation. I'm just thrilled with how these turned out; they are truly one of my all time favorite pieces.

A substantial, sterling silver pendant depicting a peacock's feather. This piece is 2 1/4" long by 3/4" wide and features a rectangular, prong-set, 18mm x 13mm Labradorite. The pendant is suspended from an 18", black rubber and bead chain that closes with a lobster clasp. The bail of the back of the piece is quite large and will accomodate almost any chain you can dream of.

This Labradorite is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful I've ever seen. The colors range from mossy green to blue to amber; the colors of the forest.

Depending on the culture, the peacock feather as a symbol can represent renewal, wisdom, wholeness, beauty and/or immortality. In India there is a belief that the eye of the peacock feather can forsee approaching danger and avert it.

This rainbow moonstone is really beautiful! It has flashes of indigo that move into turquoise and gold. It reminds me of moving water.

I have always wanted to create insect inspired jewelry. I came upon some beautiful, modern, brass stampings of insects which I purchased and took home to study. As I started to look at them I began redesigning and altering them. In the case of this little creature I took away quite a few of its original elements and added a few of my own. For the motif on the wings I was inspired by the idea of the cicada flying through a veil of smoke. This is very much an hommage to Art Nouveau

This is a very demure sterling silver ring with antiqued, carved scroll work. A 2mm round, faceted, amethyst is set in the center flanked by two 2mm, round, faceted rhodolite garnets. All three stones are set with 14kt bezels.

These stones are more subtle in color: the amethyst has a plum shade to it,and the garnets are almost a dark mauve.

A lovely, sterling silver ring featuring a woman's face with her hair spiraling and swirling outward to create the shank. This ring is just over 1/2" at its widest point.

In its original state, this ring was a marvelous, vintage, copper finding. I was so taken with the contrast of this rustically carved and weathered face against the ornate waves of her hair that I turned it into a ring. I then went ahead and had a mold made of it and had it cast in sterling silver. I can't take credit for the actual carving of this piece (although I wish I could), only how it was utilised.

She's so charming and reminds of the mermaid figureheads sometimes seen on the prow of old ships.

In stone lore, blue lace agate is said to promote tranquility, lessen anxiety, and assisit in flight(as well as higher spiritual planes). Iolite was used by Norse navigators as the world’s first polarizing filter. 1 1/4" long earrings of 18mm x 13mm, pear shaped, faceted, lapis cabochons. The back of the bezel setting has an etched, spiral motif inspired by the Tree of Life. These earrings are finished with sterling, French, ear wires.

The lapis is a gloriously vivid, cobalt blue. This is one of my very favorite colors because it is at once dynamic and elegant. These earrings bring so much attention to the face and will enhance every eye color.

This is a double-stranded, vintage, brass, curb link chain bracelet with 11 vintage, brass charms. The bracelet is 7 1/2" long and culminates with a non-vintage, brass toggle clasp.
The charms are:
1) A woman's face in profile atop a four petaled flower. I have antiqued this charma and suspended a 18mm x 13mm turquoise drop.
2)An antiqued horse show with a garlend of flowers draped over it( for luck)
3)A branch with two leaves that I have applied a verdigris patina to.
4)A 3 dimensional rose with a verdigris patina applied to the petals. A 16mm x 13mm, clear, quartz briolette is suspended from the center of the flower.
5)A wonderful, antiqued knot
6)A woman in profile wearing a wide brim hat strewn with sunflowers or daisies.
7)A cluster of leaves with a verdigris patina. This charm is the only non-vintage piece on the bracelet- but so lovely that I decided to incorporate it.
8)A slightly elongated heart on a branch. The heart has a marvelous scrolled engraving that I have highlighted by antiquing.
9)A bunch of flowers with a butterfly that I have applied a verdigris patina to. On the back of this charm you will see some solder from its previous existance.
10) A round, open-work medallion to which I have also applied a verdigris patina.
11)A floral, openwork medallion that I have antiqued to show detail.
All the charms are attached with gold filled wire.
This is a very dramatic bracelet with a wonderful sound to it!

I stumbled upon a cache of vintage brass and copper stampings. I was just so taken with their beauty and form I had to work with them in some way. These pieces are my experiment, and are quite different from anything I've done before.

A note about malachite:
Malachite is a softer stone. If you are hard on your rings, this may not be the piece for you. It is really beautiful on the hand (and elongates the fingers!), but does require a certain amount of care.

18" necklace of copper chain with stations of freshwater pearls, Amazonite, and clear quartz beads. A vintage copper pendant featuring a leaf motif is highlighted. Sterling silver ring of carved spirals with a leaf and vine design, hidden, on the inside of the shank. A bezel set,12mm, round,faceted, amethyst cabochon is featured surrounded by 3 burnished set diamonds, .09 total carat weight. This ring is currently a size 6 3/4, but can be sized from 5-10. This is my favorite version of this ring so far! The amethyst has a glorious faceting which reminds me of a rose cut. This piece has so much presence, it would be a wonderful cocktail ring. Worn on the pinkie it is particularly chic.

A note on the color: All the photographs I took of this stone seem to have given a bit of a blue cast to it. The photo that captures the color of the ring most accurately can be found on the right hand side, second from the top. The amethyst is a true, royal purple.

Sterling silver, round bangle bracelet with a reversible charm that is covered with roses. The medallion is 1 1/8" in diameter and is connected to the bracelet by a hammer-textured slide. The inside diameter of the bangle is 2 1/2". Both sides of the medallion are pictured.
This is my FAVORITE bracelet! I had a feeling about this piece when I was sculpting the roses, and it turned out even better than I'd dreamed. It looks wonderful peeking out of a cuff, or on a bare arm.

Smoke Wing Cicada Earrings

2 1/2" long sterling silver, cicada earrings featuring 8mm x 4mm, bezel-set, faceted, pear shaped, white topaz. The earrings are suspended from handmade, sterling ear wires.
I have always wanted to create insect inspired jewelry. I came upon some beautiful, modern, brass stampings of insects which I purchased and took home to study. As I started to look at them I began redesigning and altering them. In the case of this little creature I took away quite a few of its original elements and added a few of my own. For the motif on the wings I was inspired by the idea of the cicada flying through a veil of smoke. This is very much an hommage to Art Nouveau.

Two notes:
These earrings aren't exactly heavy, but they aren't terribly light either. Those with sensitive ears should note this.
These cicadas have proved to be one of the most difficult pieces to photograph. Please know that the pictures don't do them justice- they are far more sparkling in person.

Theda Bara Pendant-- Sterling Silver and Ruby

A sterling silver snake, with 2mm round, faceted ruby eyes coiling into itself. The pendant is 2 1/2" long by 1/1/4" wide and is suspended from an 18", black rubber and sterling bead necklace that closes with a lobster clasp.

I have always been taken by the arresting photo of silent film star Theda Bara in costume as Cleopatra. She has her hands raised to her head and gazes very intently at the viewer out of her kohl rimmed eyes. On her head is a snake inspired turban, and on her breasts she wears two bejeweled snakes as well. It is those snakes that inspired this necklace.

This is truly one of my all time favorite pieces. When worn it is incredibly elegant and looks very powerful.
