Kindred Spring Gocco print

$8.00
This is a limited edition gocco 2-screen print of the downloadeable wallpaper for Spring's submission for Holly + Ez's Kindred website. There's only 60 prints available, and fits perfectly into an IKEA frame that measures 6.5 x 4.5 inches.

I am so excited to be a part of the selected artist for this season, and this gocco print was made especially for the Kindred project.

Every print is hand pressed, so there may be slight variations of each print, which makes it unique.

From Kindred's website:

What does Springtime mean to you?
"Springtime to me is a time to start anew. The only springtime I've experienced is when I took a trip to Kyoto to visit my best friend. In many ways, it reminds me of starting fresh and being rejuvenated by the changes happening around me."

How did you try to translate that into your work?
"Malaysia does not have four seasons, and it's hot and humid all year round. So, my translation of spring is more figurative/metaphorical than literal. My illustration signifies the start of a new adventure, new beginnings and the excitement of starting a new journey. To me the analogy is also akin to being released and sprung from a personal enclosure!"

Thank you so much for looking!
