Natural Grey Wool Roving 4oz lots - Price Reduced

I have decided to go ahead and sell the last of the wool from my sheep I had before we moved. The price has been reduced from $8.00 for 4oz to $6.00 for 4oz or $1.25/oz.

I received this wool back from Zellinger Wool Processing in March of this year. It is a blend of 2 of my sheep, Dusty and Wendy. Dusty was half Rambouillet and half Finn and her wool was gray. Wendy was half Rambouillet and half Shetland and her wool was fawn. The staple length is about 3 to 3.5 inches and has a nice spring to it. Dusty's wool was towards fine so there are some nepts and noils in the roving and also a very small amount of VM (vegetable matter). The picture is of a skein of thin singles that I spun. It makes a great woolen yarn. This would also dye up to beautiful jewel colors. This would be considered a medium wool using the spinning count, in the mid 50's.

I have approximately 1 lbs of this roving and when it is gone, that's it, there won't be any more. However, I do know the person that has the flock that both of these sheep came from if anyone is interested.

I received this wool back from Zellinger Wool Processing in March of this year. It is a blend of Wendy's 3 lambs. Wendy was half Rambouillet and half Shetland and was bred to a full blood shetland. This would be considered a medium wool using the spinning count, in the mid 50's.

The staple length is about 3 to 3.5 inches and has a nice spring to it. It has a very small amount of VM (vegetable matter). The picture is of a skein of 3-ply heavy weight yarn that I spun. It makes a great woolen yarn.

Sapphires and Sterling Penannular Brooch

This beautiful ancient design called a penannular brooch is used to hold scarves, cloaks and tartans. This is my modern interpretation of this ancient design. This one is made out of heavy round sterling silver wire that has a nice matte finish. The pin part is made from twisted square wire. The stones are genuine natural sapphires that are approx .48 cts total weight. It has my makers mark (MAB)signed on the back and quality mark "925" on the end of the wire.

To attach to your scarf, Open the pin flat and lay the pin wrong side up putting the straight pin part through the scarf where you want the pin to end up. Flip the circular part back over the straight pin and put the straight pin through the opening. Turn the circular part of the pin under the tip of the straight pin to lock it in place.
