This dramatic flower is handpainted and layered with petals of silk, felt and cotton. The colors are rich and vibrant. Burnt Orange, Cinnabar, Rust and Red. The petals are stitched into an arrangement and a splash of vibrant glass seed beads create the center. Shiny black gives way to orange, red and yellow. The flower is an exotic imaginary bloom. I have not mounted these onto hardware. I have left that up to you. What will you do with them? Tropical Wedding? Mother of the bride or bridesmaid? Put it in your hair on a tropical cruise vacation? This sweet choker has three demure ivory taffeta roses. The three roses are sewn to an ivory ribbon. Little green leaves and sprigs of ribbon poke out from behind the roses. Vintage pearls with a beautiful patina of time are clustered in the center of each flower. The pearls were found at a barn sale in Dublin NH. I just adore upcycled and recycled treasures. The roses are all around 2" in size, the dainty ribbon is sheer cream organza and is 2 1/2' long.

You can tie this piece around your neck as shown or maybe your wrist? As a corsage. You can put your hair up and wear it as a headband for a party! be creative.

Three handmade satin roses in shades of black and gunmetal are stitched to a ribbon. This item may be worn as a headband, a sash belt, or a choker. The choker is my favorite, I love the ribbons hanging down your back. The roses have leaves made from sheer ribbon and woven window pane fabric. The edges are hand pulled to create a frayed fringe. The satin roses have black jet glass seed beads in the middle. This is the perfect statement necklace to update that little black dress. I really like it with a strapless dress. My girlfriend wore one with a white dress shirt and leather jacket the other night. She looked amazing.

Roses vary in size from 2 1/2" across to 1 1/2" across. Ribbon sash measures 4 1/2 feet.

I love the new accessory born from the pages of Etsy. This item is like an "heirloom corsage". I have seen it done for the wrist or the neck. I remember the day I bought this piece of lace. I was in high school, and my friend and I drove to NYC. We walked all day through the garment district, taking it all in. Late in the day we stumbled into a little ribbon and button shop on a side street. The woman had all her treasures in baby bottle jars and apple sauce jars. We spent hours turning the glass jars peeking at the buttons tumbling around. We filled tiny brown bags with treasures. I have since looked and searched for this shop, I have never found it again. It is almost as if the shop existed in a dream.

This choker is sexy and smart all at once. A grey satin ribbon laces through the vintage piece of lace. The gray ribbon is 3' long and will dangle down your back when tied. The lace is 3" deep and creates a 'collar' when gathered on the satin ribbon. The lace is a warm ecru color that only vintage lace has. The flower is stitched on by hand. It is Silver Grey satin with silver grey pearls in the center.

This choker makes such a sophisticated statement. I would dress it up or down. This handmade bag is crochet silk upcycled handmade yarn. The silk remnants are torn into strips and joined into a crazy ball of yarn. The colors are: true purple, blue, magenta, with splashes of turquoise and cream. The bag is lined in purple satin. A handmade eggplant color satin rose is pinned onto the purse. The rose is on a brooch back and can be worn by itself on a jacket or scarf. Rows of sparkly seed beads are stitched to the bag. The rose has purple beads stitched in the center. This choker is so striking. The roses are a luscious orange satin, with a frayed, sheer, black plaid mixed in. The two roses are stitched to a sheer black ribbon with solid satin trim. The ribbon echoes the plaid in the sheer fabric. A few black glass beads dot the centers of each flower. The flowers measure 2 1/2" across. One flower is slightly larger than the other making for a nice composition. The ribbon tails make a nice size bow, and still has enough length to trail down to the small of your back. This little charm features a sketch from "The most mysterious manuscript in the world". For three centuries the strange alphabet and enigmatic sketches have gone unsolved and no one has been able to decipher it. I am obsessed with this mystery. The sketches are riveting. Some are very botanical, some as like a very strange dream. The soft yellow color and the simple pen lines are so appealing. The pendant has a sense of whimsy. Very soft and natural in color. Geisha Girl tattoo art inspired mosaic collage. A Geisha is a Japanese singing and dancing girl. Geisha makeup is so beautiful. Tradition is white skin with red little lips and rosy cheeks. This mosaic collage is assembled using many different techniques of decoupage and tile work. Many vintage and found materials are used in my mosaics, the image is fused behind seaglass from the Gulf of Mexico. The seaglass is young and thought to be from the recent hurricane activity. The glass was found the winter following Charlie in S W Florida. A vibrant red glass runs under the Geisha and glows out of the background. Vintage beads are peeking out to the sides. The frame is hand made from distressed pine and waxed with a gold tinted wax. The shine is subtle and beautiful. The wide frame guides your eye into the Geisha.

Mosaic measures 3"x4 1/2", The outer dimension of the frame is 9"x11"

The back is signed and dated.

Smooth polished glass, in a pretty, clear green color. The glass drops are serene and minimal. In contrast the wires are distressed and oxidized. The oblong green glass bead is just over an inch in length. The wires add another inch. Overall earring length is 2". These glass beads are from a vintage chandelier. I polished them well to get them to sparkle again. They seemed perfect on long modern silver wires. Simple and elegant. The beads are 1 1/4"x1". They are from a long string of rectangle beads. The beads hang free and dangle and move with you. They catch the light in a dim room. Perfect for an evening out. The casual silver wires make them equally as nice with jeans and a tee. The earrings are long and thin 2 1/4". They are very light weight.

This necklace features large red blooms. The flowers are deep true red with stylized stamen and centers. The flowers splay open to show the beauty. The image is fused onto the back of a piece of seaglass from the Gulf of Mexico. The young seaglass was salvaged and shows the chipping and breaking that occurred before the water started smoothing it. It is rough and smooth at the same time. The pendant is large measuring 2" x 1 1/2". The Mod Flowers seem right hanging from an 80's inspired silver wire choker. The necklace would look stunning with a tube top or tank top.

This art poster was featured in WWD. It's graphic form is very appealing. The energy in the continuous lines that form triangles and diamonds is interesting. The colors are gray, black and white. The image is applied to a piece of seaglass from the Gulf of Mexico. The glass was found in a city beach and is very young. Rough, yet smooth edges are characteristc of the glass found from Charlie and wilma. The pendant measures 2" x 1". The shape is an irregular rectangle. The graphic feels very modern in an 80's way. It seemed appropriate to hang it from a silver choker wire inspired by 80's fashion.

The image is decoupaged onto a piece of seaglass from the Gulf of Mexico. Found on a Fort Myers Beach. The sea Glass is young having rough yet smooth edges. The shard of glass is mounted at an angle to create a diamond shape. The pendant piece measures 2" x 1 1/2" across. This scarf is made with a hand dyed wool yarn from Italy. The wool yarn is multi colored in tones of orange, plum, pink, tan, purple and bronze. Gold lurex runs thru the woolen yarn. I paired this bumpy, irregular yarn with it's opposite ... A suede chenille in burnt orange. I love the contrast of the textures and colors. I used a pearl stitch and knitted on size 17 needles. The yarn in this scarf is very beautiful. The scarf measures 54" long x 7 1/2" wide. The scarf tucks nicely into the neckline of a jacket. A chiffon and taffeta rose brooch compliments this scarf. The flower is made from interior sample fabrics cut from designer sample books. The hand made flower has beads stitched into the center in black jet.

This scarf is very wide and works like a shawl. The vintage fabric flower pins hold it in place if you want to wear it around your shoulders. A mohair metallic in gold runs thru a large portion of the scarf. The two flower pins are made from fabric scraps from an interior design shop. The fabrics came from old sample books from years ago. A cluster of beads accent the center of each flower. The brooches are removable making them fun to use elsewhere in your wardrobe. You could pin them to a purse, or the lapel of a jacket. The piece may be hand washed cold and lay flat to dry. The scarf/shawl measures 52" x 12" (not including 16" of fringe)

This little pretty has a sinister air. The spider looks like he will bite! Have a little Halloween fun. The beautiful crystal is blood red, and sparkles. The spider is a little snip from a vintage 1940 dictionary. It is an original, not a photocopy. The image is fused onto a piece of sea glass found in the Gulf of Mexico. The seaglass is young and thought to be from the resent hurricane activity in the past few years. The two charms hang from a tiny 18" ball chain. The findings are hand wired in silver. The pendant of the spider is 1 1/5" long by 1 " wide.

These yarns were purchased for a fun custom order. The suede chenille is a beautiful rust orange. The tones are vibrant and the textures are luxurious. A red pom-pom thread travels through the scarf. Orange eyelash yarn appears and disappears through out too. Two satin and suede fabric roses are mounted on brooch backs. They hold the scarf in place and add an extra interest. The red of the roses appear through out the scarf as an accent color. The pins are removable and can be used with other items in your wardrobe. They look great on a purse or in your hair. Fuzzy, shiny, iridescent, and wooly. This scarf is all about texture and color.
