Blue Draped in Fine Silver Lampwork Focal Bead

$16.00
The Ivory base was wrapped in a rich amber colored glass. I then added a layer of fine silver foil and then a layer of silvered glass. I used the flame to bring out the color of the silvered glass. This bead has a rich warm feel, beautiful. 45mm x 11 mm

When a bead is made from silvered glass or has fine silver foil made in it or on it, the beads surface can have divots, the silver may come to the surface and create a texture or the surface can appear to have some slight etching. This does not in any way take away from the overall beauty of the bead but adds to its character.

Pictures

The pictures of these beads were taken inside using several forms of lighting, so please be aware that differences in computer monitors may make the beads appear slightly lighter or darker on your computer than in "real life".

I created it off mandrel so the only hole is through the heart. I like how coming down front the hole on the first picture the glass color looks like a feather. 51mm x 35mm x 7mm

When a bead is made from silvered glass or has fine silver foil made in it or on it, the beads surface can have divots, the silver may come to the surface and create a texture or the surface can appear to have some slight etching. All of my beads are free formed except for two older hearts, so it was a big decision to try another press.

The hole is from side to side and the overall shape is the lentil shape. I made custom cane and stringers for the flowers and stems or vines. I left the flowers raised in this one and the texture is great. 30mm x 26mm x 12mm

When a bead is made from silvered glass or has fine silver foil made in it or on it, the beads surface can have divots, the silver may come to the surface and create a texture or the surface can appear to have some slight etching. Each item upon completion are immediately placed into my digitally controlled kiln and annealed with a preprogrammed annealing schedule based on the type of glass used. The items are annealed to reduce the natural occurrence of stress that builds up during the process of creation. Once the annealing process has completed, the beads are cleaned to remove bead release and are inspected for imperfections. Any item not meeting my standards will not be sold. Even with proper annealing, they are created out of glass, and like all glass they can chip, crack, and break if treated roughly or abused. Please be careful with small children and pets as they may pose a chocking hazard if placed in the mouth.

Materials

I use several brands of soft glass to produce my beads.
Reduced Can You Say Abstract Lampwork Focal Bead

$14.00
Was $18.00 Now 14.00
This is one of those beads that I loved the color and every time I pulled the glass I liked it even more. There are several shades of both transparent and opaque blue glass. I added a ton of heavy silver foil. I topped it off with dots of silvered glass. Every time I look at it I think it looks like something else. 41mm x 16mm x 25mm

All of the glass items listed was handcrafted by me in my studio in Jacksonville, Florida.

The glass is produced all over the world, Italy, Germany and here in the US. The glass that I am currently using is Lauscha, Effetre, Vetrofond, CIM, ASK and Double Helix. These brands have transparent, opaque, opalino, alabaster and silvered colors. I use fine silver, gold and copper leaf and foil. I also use fine silver wire. All of these add their own unique designs to the beads and each react differently with the glass.

Pictures

The pictures of these beads were taken inside using several forms of lighting, so please be aware that differences in computer monitors may make the beads appear slightly lighter or darker on your computer than in "real life".

Payment & Shipping

I only accept Paypal payments at this time. I will gladly ship worldwide and combine shipping on multiple items whenever possible. Shipping for all orders within the US will be shipped first class mail with delivery confirmation. First class shipping to the US, Canada and the United Kingdom will be $2.50, everywhere else is 3.50. Priority mail is available at buyer’s expense. The shipping fees are listed at the bottom of each listing. If priority shipping is desired do not pay the invoice then convo me for one including the new shipping charges. Insurance is at your discretion however I highly recommend it. I cannot be responsible for items that are lost or damaged during shipping. I will be sure to package your items safely and securely. Items will be shipped within two business days of the receipt of payment. There is a small additional charge per item purchased at the same time to cover the additional expenses. Combined shipping can only be used for item purchased within 3 days of each other and paid on the same invoice. Please email me in advance if you intend on using the combined option.
The base is a rich transparent green and dark ivory glass. I applied a design made out of a custom stringer of a special black glass that I rolled in fine silver foil. I did not like the way it looked and mixed up the glass. I see an old shack with a chimney, my daughter saw flowers

What do you see? 28mm x 28mm x 11mm

Flower in a Tear Drop Lampwork Pendant

I imploded the flower into a gather of glass. I love it!! It is a flower in a tear drop. The picture is a little darker than the flower, it is a medium pink with a little bit of pale lavender the first picture is really close to the real color. 44mm x 18mm

All of the glass items listed was handcrafted by me in my studio in Jacksonville, Florida.

Insurance is at your discretion however I highly recommend it. I cannot be responsible for items that are lost or damaged during shipping. I will be sure to package your items safely and securely.

I then added a ring of gold aventurine on each side. I love the flow of the silvered glass. I used the torch to bring out all of the beautiful colors. 37mm x 22mm

When a bead is made from silvered glass or has fine silver foil made in it or on it, the beads surface can have divots, the silver may come to the surface and create a texture or the surface can appear to have some slight etching. The touch of silver sparkle through the transparent blue glass gives the bead depth. The iridescent green tones comes from the silvered glass nyx. The colors are brilliant and beautiful. I used reactive and non reactive glass in this one. I love the combination of copper green stripes against the rich yellow. I used both transparent and opaque glass. 42mm x 17.5mm

All of the glass items listed was handcrafted by me in my studio in Jacksonville, Florida. I used the silvered glass Terra Nova. I love how the glass reacts with the heat from the torch. Her neck lace is a beautiful blue glass.

36mm top to bottom
21mm at the waist
23mm across the hips

When a bead is made from silvered glass or has fine silver foil made in it or on it, the beads surface can have divots, the silver may come to the surface and create a texture or the surface can appear to have some slight etching. This does not in any way take away from the overall beauty of the bead but adds to its character.

Pictures

The pictures of these beads were taken inside using several forms of lighting, so please be aware that differences in computer monitors may make the beads appear slightly lighter or darker on your computer than in "real life".

The blue is a deep rich color with a lot of sparkle. It is just nice to look at in the light. 1 5/16 inches in diameter.
Please remember that these are works of art and not meant to be played with.

All of the glass items listed was handcrafted by me in my studio in Jacksonville, Florida. Even with proper annealing, they are created out of glass, and like all glass they can chip, crack, and break if treated roughly or abused. Please be careful with small children and pets as they may pose a chocking hazard if placed in the mouth.

Materials

I use several brands of soft glass to produce my beads.

I love the flow of the glass in this bead. 43mm x 14mm

Even with proper annealing, they are created out of glass, and like all glass they can chip, crack, and break if treated roughly or abused. Please be careful with small children and pets as they may pose a chocking hazard if placed in the mouth.

Materials

I use several brands of soft glass to produce my beads. The glass is produced all over the world, Italy, Germany and here in the US. The glass that I am currently using is Lauscha, Effetre, Vetrofond, CIM, ASK and Double Helix.
