This 19th century fine feathered friend is from my collection of antique English steel stamps, ornately made by an expert craftsman from long ago. The last photo shows the stamp, which the rings are on. Can you see on its tip (to the right) how it has been used quite a bit over its long life? Yet it remains in wonderful condition - - an amazing find!

Made entirely from recycled sterling silver this ring is not cast but rather handmade at my bench. It has a soft, organic-looking matte finish.

Working with antique tools connects me to the ancient nature of goldsmithing (and in this case silversmithing), and these antique stamps make it so you can enjoy the experience as well.

The last photo shows three variations of this ring: 18k yellow gold, sterling silver with an 18k yellow gold top and sterling silver - - all recycled metals.

The top is 9mm x 7mm approx with a 1.0mm shank. Handmade for you in any size up to size 8, including half sizes or any other size in between! If you require a larger size, please contact me for a quote. Turn-around time is seven days (excluding weekends and holidays).

Twilight -hammered finish

This sterling silver ring is handforged, not cast, and I hand-textured it with a "hammered" look. Part of my "Twilight" collection, it has a wonderful moonlight luster, which reminds me of rising mist when it dews over on a cool night.

Looking at the group photo of my collection, the ring I'm presenting for this listing is the third one in from the left.

Handmade to order up to size 8.5, and one in size 8.5 is ready to ship. The band is 5.0mm wide and a 1.5mm thick. The finish on the edges is hand-brushed.

Basic inside engraving is FREE but does require two additional days.

Antique Silverware Ring

I use fairly-traded stones and reclaimed and refined materials and metals in the jewelry that I hand create, and in doing so sometimes discover pieces worn with age, but still beautiful. Restoring and repurposing antique silverware into meaningful jewelry is something I find very satisfying.

Fine silverware is often at the table for family celebrations and treasured for the memories it is tied to, and then it is passed on to the next generation. With this in mind, I made this ring in the same way as the one in the photos here:

Antique sterling silver is considered an art form, admired for its soft patina and superb craftsmanship. Fashioned in an entirely new way, this spoon turned ring celebrates antique silverware artistry, and I think it whispers of family and continuity.

The design of this ring makes it so I can make it in any U.S. size between 4 and 9. The ring does taper but is about 10.5mm wide at the top, tapering to about 4.mm at the bottom. Because of the intricate relief work, thickness ranges from 1.5mm to 2.5mm. When purchasing this ring, a "Note to Seller" box will come up for you to specify the ring size you would like.

Fleur De Lis Earrings - recycled sterling silver

One 19th century jewelery making tool that I recently restored features the elegant fleur de lis. Dating back centuries, this symbol of the lily flower inspired me to hand carve a ribbon-like version for earrings. Employing traditional goldsmithing methods and cast in recycled sterling siver, I gave them a soft matte finish.

These fleur de lis earrings measure approximately 1/2" wide by 5/8" long.

The icy beauty of winter is reflected in this lacey snowflake pendant, featuring a gorgeous vintage glass cabochon, set in a handmade bezel.
I shaped this sterling silver pendant to appear like a flurrying crystal snowflake and then polished it for extra shine and sparkle.

My understanding is this faceted glass cabochon (1/2" round) is originally part of a collection of beautiful antique glass gems used for decorating handmade wooden carousels. The interesting surface is unique, which has me convinced it is at least vintage, and I think you'll agree that it makes beautiful snow!

This pendant measures 1 3/8" x 1 3/8", and the black rubber cord, available any length up to 22 inches, has a sturdy sterling silver lobster claw clasp. Please let me know the length you would like in the "message to seller" box that will come up during the transaction.

About moissanite: It is a lab-created natural silicon carbide, much less expensive than diamonds, yet still considered a "luxury" jewel. More affordable than a natural diamond, more upmarket than a synthetic one. Moissante is almost colorless, and unless a trained eye examines it, this stone is difficult to distinguish from a diamond.

Handwrought by me with hand-texturing that is as individual as fingerprints. Six brilliant faceted diamonds are burnished into the surface which looks like a hard rain on a still pond.
Simple. Elegant. Modern.

This ring is part of my "Stars" collection of fine silver bands, which is represented in the fourth photo. (The ring I'm presenting for this listing is balanced on top of the other three rings and has a rain, rather than hammered, look.)

Fine silver differs from sterling silver because it does not have copper alloy and so does not tarnish. Instead, it has a lasting wonderful white luster similar to polished platinum. And I employ a hardening process to the fine silver so that this ring will be durable!

Approximate total weight of these six natural round faceted diamonds is .18ctw. Each is 2.0mm app. Quality is sI1 and GH color, which means inclusions are not visible to the naked eye - - only the sparkle!

This ring (photos 1 - 3) measures approximately 5.0mm wide and 2.5 mm thick. The finish on the edges is hand-brushed.

Earrings in gold with stunning Montana agates that are handpicked, handcut and polished to a wonderful shine. Designed and handmade by me, I matched the halves of these Montana agates so that one is truly made for the other.

Translucent Montana agate is securely embraced on top with a wrapping of 18k royal yellow gold, accented with 4mm cabochon garnets. The ear wires are 14k yellow gold. They will look absolutely gorgeous when worn, and there's something very satisfying about creating these. I have several more unique pairs at different stages on my bench - - guess I'm starting a collection!

From the top of the garnet to the bottom of the Montana agate, each earring measures about 1 and 1/8 inches long and about 3/8 of an inch at its widest point. (The ear wire adds another 5/8 of an inch to the overall length).

Striking custom-cut Montana agate earrings with natural diamonds and precious opal beads, designed and made by me using traditional goldsmithing methods for an intriguing, unique look. Made of 18k yellow gold with 18k white gold bezels dangling from 14k yellow gold leverback ear wires. Total weight of the faceted round diamonds is .16ctw, and they are SI clarity/HI color. - two round diamonds measure .03ctw each
- two round diamonds measure .05ctw each

The precious opal beads each measure 3.0mm.

From the top jump ring (above the diamond) to the bottom of the Montana agate, each earring measures about one inch long and about 3/8ths of an inch at the widest point. This natural silicate appears to be steeped in the deeper sundrenched hues of a dawn's first rays, so I thought it would be a perfectly refreshing idea to design and handmake a ring that looks like it has captured a spring sunrise.

The bright and rich color of this natural 9.0mm x 7.0mm Mexican fire opal cabochon is complemented by its one of a kind setting made from 14k recycled yellow gold. The top measures 14.0mm at its widest point, and the back of the shank measures 3.0mm wide.

A stunningly beautiful 2.45 carat emerald cut pink tourmaline and 14k recycled and renewed white gold. I made the shank stepped on top to highlight the embossed flourishes created from one of my 19th century tools. The angular bottom compliments the overall design.

Inclusions in this stone are visible (looking a bit more prominent with my macro lens), which of course is inherent with most natural tourmalines, and absolutely no deterrent to the amazing beauty of this particular stone. One gorgeous ring!

Finding antique tools, especially related to my trade is a favorite hobby, and at the bottom of a dusty box I discovered antique stamps from England, dating back to the 1800s. How long does snow last before it melts into your mittens? When it falls on puddles, snow is only white for a moment before melting away, but these brightly polished sterling silver snowflakes are made to last.

Dangling from sterling silver ear wires, each snowflake measures 1" x 1", and from the top of the ear wires, they measure about 1 1/2" long. The 3rd photo shows these earrings with our life-sized mannequin. Although they look identical, no two snowflakes are exactly alike.

Embossed 18k recycled gold ring - Little Antique Bird

This 19th century fine feathered friend is from my collection of antique English steel tools, ornately made by an expert craftsman from long ago. As you can see in the last photo, the top has been used quite a bit over its long life, but it remains in wonderful condition - - an amazing find!

Using 18k recycled yellow gold this ring is not cast but rather entirely handmade at my bench. I gave the top a matte finish and the shank a shiny finish.

The only precious natural product produced by a living organism, cultured pearls form over time inside the oyster or mussel in their natural environment, and just like this glowing black cultured button pearl, each one is absolutely unique unto itself.

With its mysterious and lustrous beauty, it is easy to see why pearls have won the hearts of countless people through the ages, and so I designed and hand created this elegant setting to pay tribute to the pearl's timeless beauty.

Measuring approximately 6.5mm round by 4.5mm thick, I securely set this pearl into the 14k recycled white gold shank by making an internal peg of white gold. The mounting measures 3.5mm wide with a slight taper.

Inspired by a Victorian ring, I handcarved my design in wax and cast the ring in 18k yellow gold. I employed old-world metalworking techniques to finish this feminine and classic ring. The natural peridot weighs approx 1.40cts, and I set it in a 12-prong handmade 18k yellow gold setting. This is an oval stone, which measures approx 9 x 7mm.

On a scenic fall hike several years back, we stopped for a rest nearby some old railroad tracks. I noticed something sticking out of the ground and dug it up. It was a large rusty key, shown in the last photo.
That was the start of antique key collecting.

I took one of my favorites, created a mold, and employing traditional goldsmithing methods cast it in recycled sterling silver. Here it is with almost every detail of the original showing wonderfully. Then to lend a stained glass window effect, I bezel set two 3.0mm Mozambique garnet cabochons, back to back.

This skeleton key measures approximately 2 1/4 inches long and 7/8 inches wide at the top. The perfect size to unlock someone's heart.

Every step in making this ring is done by hand and includes using tools I have made and antique tools I have restored. The creative essence of my work and the craftsmanship from long ago fuse together into the permanence of metal and stone.

I set this gorgeous .12ct (approx.) gem grade black diamond into a 14k recycled and renewed white gold hand created ring with a 2.0mm wide shank that is 2.0 mm thick. The gold encircling the diamond measures about 6.0mm around and has a distinct hand-applied frosted finish, which I accomplish using a tool I made. The shank has a brushed satin finish.

8mm x 6mm.

About moissanite: It is a lab-created natural silicon carbide, much less expensive than diamonds, yet still considered a "luxury" jewel. More affordable than a natural diamond, more upmarket than a synthetic one. Moissante is almost colorless, and unless a trained eye examines it, this stone is difficult to distinguish from a diamond.

Offering a glimpse into the past this detailed bird is from an ornately made 19th century English steel stamp, hand created by an expert craftsman from long ago.

Made entirely from recycled sterling silver the pendant is not cast but rather handmade at my bench. It has a soft, organic-looking matte finish, and there is something charming about the slight irregularities as I carefully make each one. The magic of skilled hand craftsmanship cannot be reproduced by technology, and working with antique tools connects me and the wearer to this rich tradition.

The gold encircling the diamond measures about 5.0mm around. The diamond's quality is sI1 and GH color, which means inclusions are not visible to the naked eye - - only the sparkle, like an evening star!

Taking an antique persian blue natural turquoise, I revived and carved it into a semi-freeform cabochon. It is uniform in color, undyed, and looks vibrant in 18k royal yellow gold. I hand forged this one of a kind pendant with granulation and a brushed surface for a satiny sheen.

Embossed 18k recycled gold and sterling silver ring - Little Antique Bird

This 19th century fine feathered friend is from my collection of antique English steel stamps, ornately made by an expert craftsman from long ago. The last photo shows the stamp, which the rings are on. Can you see on its tip (to the right) how it has been used quite a bit over its long life? Yet it remains in wonderful condition - - an amazing find!

Using 18k recycled yellow gold for the top and recycled sterling silver for the shank, this ring is not cast but rather entirely handmade at my bench. It has a soft, organic-looking matte finish.

Working with antique tools connects me to the ancient nature of goldsmithing, and these antique stamps make it so you can enjoy the experience as well.

The last photo shows three variations of this ring: 18k yellow gold, sterling silver with an 18k yellow gold top and sterling silver - - all recycled metals.

The top is 9mm x 7mm approx with a 1.0mm shank. This ring is size 5 1/2, and I will size it for you up or down by as much as two sizes (including half sizes) from what is is now for no extra charge. Bel Fiore -sterling silver ring set

Like a single, perfect flower picked from the garden to stand beautifully in a simple vase, one vintage pressed glass flower is picked for this simple design. Inspired by my gold Bel Fiore collection, I decided to make similar rings in sterling silver, and here they are!

Although I have only a limited supply, you can choose your favorite flower color: buttercup, soft purple or ice.

The flower measures 5mm wide, and I made the shank 2.0mm wide by 1.5mm thick, with a hammered finish that has a soft and shiny look where my hammer left its mark. The center of each flower is also sterling silver, which keeps the flower securely in place. And I made a sterling silver scalloped back that sometimes peeks out from the edges, just the way petals often do. Vintage pressed glass of course remains a little delicate, but it is much more protected with this supportive backing. The sterling silver twist bands measure 1.5mm x 1.5mm each.

A one of a kind wearable sculpture.

Handwrought by me with hand-texturing that is as individual as fingerprints. Four brilliant faceted diamonds are burnished into the surface which looks like a hard rain on a still pond.

Part of my "Stars" collection of fine silver bands. In the group photo, the ring I'm presenting for this listing is on the very left side and has a birch, rather than hammered, look.

Fine silver differs from sterling silver because it does not have copper alloy and so does not tarnish. Instead, it has a lasting wonderful white luster similar to polished platinum. And I employ a hardening process to the fine silver so that this ring will be durable!

Approximate total weight of these four natural round faceted diamonds is .12ctw. Each is 2.0mm app. Quality is sI1 and GH color, which means inclusions are not visible to the naked eye - - only the sparkle!

This ring measures approximately 4.5mm wide and 2.5 mm thick. The finish on the edges is hand-brushed.

Scarab Beetles -vintage glass earrings

Glimmering pink cabochons of vintage pressed glass scarab beetles made in occupied Japan over 50 years ago! To the ancient Egyptians, this common beetle symbolized hope and the restoration of life. Interestingly, ancient Egyptians sometimes made their scarab jewelry from glass too.

Part of a private collection of loose vintage glass gems that I was lucky enough to acquire. To compliment the rose quartz color, I made up four-pronged sterling silver earrings and then securely hand set the 10mm x 8mm ovals, but I can understand if you'd rather have them set in gold. Like a single, perfect flower picked from the garden to stand beautifully in a simple vase, one vintage pressed glass flower is picked for this simple design. Rich with color, texture and old world flourish, this ring I handmade is reminiscent of the lush, romantic and perfectly manicured flower gardens of the palazzos in Italy. Bel Fiore!

Like all of my pieces, these rings are not hollow. They are 100 percent handmade by me, one at a time. This particular design is substantial in weight.

The flower measures 7mm wide, and I made the shank 1.5mm wide by 1.5mm thick, with a hammered finish that has a soft and shiny look. The handcast center is 18k yellow gold, and the very center has a hammered indentation. I made a 14k gold scalloped back which can be seen in the 3rd photo. Vintage pressed glass of course remains a little delicate, but it is much more protected with this supportive backing.

The center will be 18k yellow gold, but the shank can be made in either 14k white gold (like the red ring in the photos) or 14k yellow gold (like the blue and green rings). There will be a "note to seller" box that comes up when you purchase this ring, so that you can specify what you would like.

Key Necklace - recycled sterling silver and blue opal

I made this recycled sterling silver key necklace from my antique and vintage key collection, and it features an enchanting 3.0mm round blue opal bead.

Employing traditional goldsmithing methods, I carefully made a mold from the original key, making sure to capture every detail, and then cast in recycled sterling silver. This skeleton key measures approximately 2 3/16 inches long and 7/8 inches wide at the top.
The perfect size to unlock someone's heart.

I will make the black rubber cord for you in any length, and it has a sturdy sterling silver lobster claw clasp. Please let me know the length you would like in the "message to seller" box that will come up when you make this purchase.

Part of my "Stars" collection of fine silver bands, represented in the first photo, and the ring I'm presenting for this listing is on the very left side and has a rain, rather than hammered, look.

Fine silver differs from sterling silver because it does not have copper alloy and so does not tarnish. Instead, it has a lasting wonderful white luster similar to polished platinum. And I employ a hardening process to the fine silver so that this ring will be durable!

Approximate total weight of these four natural round faceted diamonds is .12ctw. Each is 2.0mm app. Quality is sI1 and GH color, which means inclusions are not visible to the naked eye - - only the sparkle!

This ring (photos 2 - 4) measures approximately 4.5mm wide and 2.5 mm thick. The finish on the edges is hand-brushed.

Size 4.5 is ready to ship. If you require a different size, please contact me for a quote. Fire Opal Orange -vintage glass earrings

These translucent orange gems resemble fire opals, but instead they are faceted vintage glass from a private collection of loose faceted vintage and antique glass from Austria, Czechoslovakia and West Germany that I was lucky enough to acquire. Measuring 9mm each, they look absolutely striking in the sterling silver settings that I made up, but I can understand if you prefer that I handmake settings for these in gold, and if you do, please contact me for a quote.

Natural Australian boulder opal earrings with amazing fiery color, designed and hand fabricated in gold by me. Sculpted from 24k yellow gold, I made the bezels to enhance these fascinating boulder opals. The angular design on top is 18k white gold, and 18k white gold bezels surround 4.0mm faceted round yellow sapphires. Approximate total weight of the sapphires is .60ct. The leverback ear wires are 14k white gold.

From the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the boulder opal, each earring measures about 1 and 5/8 inches long and about 1/2 of an inch at its widest point. These will look even more captivating when worn!

This bracelet began as a hand-drawn sketch while in my garden.
Made completely by hand, rather than cast, natural-looking twigs of 18k royal yellow gold meander around to form the base for once-around hand-chased (and handcut) leaves of bright 22k yellow gold and 18k exotic peach-colored gold. I formed two plates of 18k peach gold inside for engraving a special message.

Weighing approx 22.5 grams, including two yellow leaves and two peach leaves, the wire that forms the bracelet is 13 guage 18k royal yellow gold. This bracelet measures approximately 1/4" at its widest point, and tapers to approximately 1/8" at the ends.

Made to comfortably fit a standard wrist, it is semi-adjustable. Please contact me for a quote if you would like to order a different handcrafted size. Because each is handmade and individual, bracelets will vary slightly, and crafting one does take up to two weeks to make (sooner if at all possible).

This natural 20 carat rutile quartz cabochon measures 20mm x 15mm and is 9mm high. The mounting for this ring is 18k yellow gold and is hand fabricated rather than cast, which gives it a sculptural quality. I shaped the prongs to echo the rutile needles within the stone. Unique, wearable art.

Using a ruler and looking at the top of the ring, it measures approximately 7/8ths of an inch (top of stone to bottom of stone) by one inch (from the gold granulation on the left to the gold granulation on the right).

From recycled and renewed sterling silver I created this ring and its hand carved setting that features a gorgeous reddish-colored five pointed star cut diamond! And using 19th century tools I embossed antique stars on its surface.

The diamond measures .07 ct (5 pt.), and the shank is approximately 4.0mm wide by 1.5mm thick. This ring can be sized any U.S. size between 5 and 9, requiring no more than two days. Basic inside engraving is FREE but does require two additional days.

20.7 grams of 18K yellow gold intersperse with flashes of 18K rose gold and 18K green gold to form this ring. Throughout its satin finished surface I flush set 19 round diamonds with a weight totaling 1.70 carats.

The smallest diamond is .03 ct and the largest diamond is .15 ct. Imperfections on all 19 diamonds are not visible to the naked eye.

Recently I finished a commissioned handmade serpent ring, involving several designs and waxes before leading up to the final one. This is a more realistic interpretation - - striking and worthy of its marquise-cut diamond. Its natural shape and the way it coils translates well into jewelry.

Many consider serpent jewelry timeless and unique in both its art and symbolism, and it has a long history with a popularity that was especially strong in the mid to late 1800s. Victorian jewelry often used an entwined snake to symbolize infinity and eternal love, and Queen Victoria wore a gold snake biting its tail as her wedding ring. Serpent jewelry can look striking in abstract designs and in more realistic ones.

This ring is size 7.5 and is handmade from 18k royal yellow gold, weighing approximately 30.88 grams. A natural marquise-cut diamond (SI1/GH), with an approximate weight of .26ct is flush set onto the head. Completely handcarved and hand-textured, using traditional goldsmithing methods.

Burnished into the surface of this hand-textured fine silver ring are five brilliant diamonds.
Simple. Elegant. Modern.

Handwrought by me, it is part of my "Stars" collection of fine silver bands, which is represented in the collection photo. (The ring I'm presenting for this listing is the middle one, and it has a hammered, rather than birch, look.)

Fine silver differs from sterling silver because it does not have copper alloy and so does not tarnish. Instead, it has a lasting wonderful white luster similar to polished platinum. And I employ a hardening process to the fine silver so that this ring will be durable!

Approximate total weight of these five natural round faceted diamonds is .15ctw. Each is 2.0mm app. Quality is sI1 and GH color, which means inclusions are not visible to the naked eye - - only the sparkle!

This ring (photos 1 - 4) measures approximately 6.0mm wide and 2.5 mm thick. The finish on the edges is hand-brushed.

Fire Agate Cabochon Ring

This particular fire agate is an absolutely beautiful, iridescent gemstone. The luminous color was once hidden under a thick layer of opaque chalcedony that was carefully removed to reveal the thin layers of iron oxide (limonite), which make up its beauty. The task of uncovering the iridescent layers requires an experienced, skilled hand. If limonite removal goes one layer too far, the stone is ruined. Fire Agate gems are found around the Colorado River and in some areas of Mexico.

I designed and made this hand-hewn shank out of 14k yellow gold and the bezel is 18k yellow gold. Framing the bezel are two bars wrought in 18k rose gold. The cabochon measures 21 mm x 14 mm. At a current size 12, and it weighs in at 15.2 grams.

This sterling silver ring has a wonderful moonlight luster, which reminds me of rising mist when it dews over on a cool night. Part of my "Twilight" collection of sterling silver bands, it is handforged by me, rather than cast, so that each is individual. The surface looks like a hard rain on a still pond.

In my grandmother's old button box, I found a tiny glass shoe button, which inspired me to make button rings. When I was a child, I loved sifting through her tin box of buttons, which was more like a treasure chest, filled with stories about family and far away places. Although she admitted that she had no idea how most of those buttons got there in the first place!

A beautiful vintage button of molded cobalt blue glass is securely set on a hand-textured shank, which I made from reclaimed sterling silver.

The same care and attention that I put into my platinum and gold pieces go into every piece, made by a master goldsmith - - me!

This gorgeous button measures 8mm wide, and the handcrafted shank measures 3mm x 1.5mm.

Pricing is for sizes 5 through 8, including 1/2 sizes. If you require a smaller or larger size, please contact me for a quote. This sterling silver ring has a wonderful moonlight luster that reminds me of rising mist when it dews over on a cool night. Part of my "Twilight" collection of sterling silver bands. In the group photo, the ring I'm presenting for this listing is the very first one on the right and has a hand-textured hammered finish.

Completely handmade by me so that each is individual.
Measuring 3.0mm wide by 2.0mm thick, and the finish on the edges is hand-brushed.

A design concept so versatile, yet this shining green emerald ring looks fabulous worn on its own! Like finger versions of a charm bracelet, these rings (in the group photo) are also made to mix and match to your own style.

I set this 2.0mm round natural green emerald into an 14k white gold handmade bezel with an 14k yellow gold shank (1.5mm wide by 1.0mm thick).

In the group photo, this ring is third from the bottom, just above the ruby ring. The other rings in the group photo are available in our shop and some new designs are at different stages on my bench, which are almost ready too!
