This one of a kind creation is designed with the sea lover in mind. The diamond like Swarovski crystals emulate the foam created at the waters edge, in the ebb and flow as the waves crash. The faceted genuine aqua chalcedony, symbolize the sea water and a 6mm lustrous freshwater pearl along with a 14kt gold filled shell style coil, are just a taste of all the glories, that are worlds oceans offer us. They are all permanently hand wired, onto a 2 inch x 1 1/2" very lustrous blister and colorful blister pearl. All metal is 14kt gold filled and the hand twisted collar should fit just about anyone.

Cockle shells can be found all over the world on shorelines. They come in many different sizes, colors and textures and occasionally you will find a pair still hinged together. The shape of these coin pearls wrapped with the sterling wire made me think of the plentiful little shells.

The coin pearls used in these earrings are very lustrous and quite iridescent. They have a beautiful pastel color display of pink, lilac, gold, silver, turquoise, ivory and green, the sterling wire encircling the pearls frames them perfectly.

The "Cockles" earrings hang 30mm long and are 12mm across their widest point, all the metal is sterling silver.

Marlin's Eyes

I have a couple of dear friends that just live to billfish. Recently I received a picture from one of them. It was the most beautiful blue marlin. Still in the water, but raising himself out enough to see straight into his eyes. Well they caught that fish and released it too (they always do). But I found myself thinking about it so much, that I just had to create these earrings and name them "Marlin's Eyes".

These earrings are stud style and made from sterling silver and naturally iridescent 4.5-5mm freshwater pearls, then polished to a gleam. They measure 8-9mm across and you have to admit, they do resemble a majestic "Marlin's Eyes". Just take a peek at that beautiful creature(Last Picture).

Sometimes when I shop on Etsy I find myself wondering what people look like, who are they? I figure I'm not the only one who wonders this, so I've added this little blurb about myself and my family.

Here you will see a picture of myself; Elizabeth, our son, our dog, Sir Winston a 189lb. Landseer Newfoundland who thinks he's a lap dog and you can kind of see my husband under Winston in the last picture. My husband and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary in May. Through all those years of course we've been through a lot. I'd say our biggest triumph is our little boy. After trying to have a child for 14 years we finally got pregnant after all of the professionals saying it would never happen, we were elated. The timing was a little tough though, my Mom who was terminally ill was living with us and I was her care giver. Well to shorten the story a ton...I had our son 11 1/2 weeks early(emergency C-section), he only weighed 2 lbs 4oz. It is heart breaking to be released from the hospital and have to leave your new helpless baby, 150 miles away. I traveled every other day to Seattle to see him and hold him when allowed. Sometimes I got to spend the night in extra rooms at the hospital so I could be there several days in a row. Finally after over 2 months, our little prince came home. Our life is blessed, just look at his picture. He is the most sensitive and caring child I've ever known. Since our childs birth, I've only worked from home. It is where I want to be. Which brings me to why I have an Etsy shop. I spent many many years working in the corporate world, it practically killed me, I was great at it, so I did it. Now I get to feed my soul and watch my little boy grow and dream and do things like make nautical inspired jewelry. I think these are tough times for a lot of people, so I make quality jewelry in unique designs at very affordable prices. All of the items found here would be several times higher in dept. stores or catalogs. I know, we used to co-own a jewelry store. I hope you find something special to wear or to share, and remember that I thoroughly enjoyed making it for you.
