Here is my great-grandfather (on the right) and his brother Henry dressed up as Baby New Year and Father Time to ring in 1951!! My great-grandparents were known for throwing wild parties and apparently this was a normal occurrence every New Years Eve. ;)

FYI: did you know the las vegas sign was designed by a commercial artist named betty willis in 1952??? she sold the sign for $4,000. willis also created the sign for the moulin rouge. she was quite a pioneer when female commercial artists were few and far between.
