I hand carved this Santa ornament from a vintage wooden sewing spool.It even has the original stamp on the top and bottom which says the company and amount of thread that once was on the spool.

This ornament measures approximately 1 1/4" tall and 1" wide. After carving I hand painted it with acrylics, I then sealed and antiqued it and hung it with jute. Created, signed and dated by me.

Hand Carved Antique Fishing Float Santa

I hand carved this unique Santa from an antique wooden fishing net float from Maine.

He measures 5" tall and 2" wide and has been hand carved making him so unique.

I left the old patina that is original to the float on and painted over the top with acrylic paints. You can see some of the original stain showing through in places, which makes it extra special.
After painting I sealed, antiqued and sealed it again, and added jute so that it can be hung.
Created, signed and dated by me and made without patterns.

This carving does stand by itself, so if you don't want to hang it, it will stand on it's own as long as you remove the jute.

Mini Hand Carved Cypress Knee Santa

This hand carved mini Santa Claus measures approximately 1 1/2" wide and 4 1/4" tall. (4cm x 11cm)

I hand carved him from a Cypress Knee, which is part of the root system of the Cypress tree, found in swamps of the south.

After many hours of carving this little fellow, I painted him with acrylic paints,
I then sealed, antiqued, signed and dated, and sealed one last time for years of enjoyment.

Designed and created by me without patterns.
As in nature each Cypress knee is unique,and since my carvings are made by hand, no two carvings will ever be exactly the same.

Here he is all ready for Christmas, he even has his tree.

This hand carved Santa measures approximately 2 3/4" wide and 5" tall. (7cm x 13cm)

I hand carved him from a Cypress Knee, which is part of the root system of the Cypress tree, found in swamps of the south.

He has great carved details such as his eyebrows, grooves in his mustache and beard and even the details on his tree.

After many hours of carving, I painted him with acrylic paints, adding his sparkly blue eyes and pattern on his robe.
I then sealed, antiqued, signed and dated, and sealed one last time for years of enjoyment.

Designed and created by me without patterns.
As in nature each Cypress knee is unique,and since my carvings are made by hand, no two carvings will ever be exactly the same.

This little fellow is ready for winter.

He measures approximately 3" tall and is 1 1/2" wide, not including his wire arms.
I hand carved him fully round from a wood turning, and carved him a 3-D basswood "carrot" nose to make him extra special. After carving I painted him with acrylic paints, antiqued and sealed him, and added black wire arms.
Handmade, signed and dated by me.

I hand carved this grinning Jack O'Lantern in relief (flat) from a Cypress Knee tip.
I hand carved all details front and back, from his stem to the grooves between his teeth.
After carving, I hand painted him with acrylic paint and then antiqued and sealed him.
He measures approximately 3 1/2" high x 2" wide or 9cm x5cm.

Designed, created, signed and dated by me.
