I am delighted to announce the launch of the Green Island Art Studios 2010 calendar.

Themed around my most popular series “By The Seaside” these little works of art come in a loose leaf format.

You will receive 12 unbound sheets each with a beautifully printed 5”x5” artwork with each month printed below.

Each calendar print is hand signed and stamped on the back.

Printed on premium white matt fibreboard card, each of the pictures is a stunning semi-gloss photographic print.

These unbound artworks are perfect for sticking to your noticeboard, fridge, desktop or wall, use magnets or even hang them up with clips, pegs, ribbon or string somewhere. I have one tucked into my desktop planner, and they look wonderful in small desktop frames or easels, of which there are many to choose from here on Dawanda, take a browse round and see what you find.

And at the end of each month you can trim off the calendar section, leaving you with 12 beautiful prints from Green Island Art Studios, ready to frame for yourself or give away as gifts. (If you can bear to part with them)

This interesting and unusual image is from a series of work I have made using an antique Ross Ensign Twin Lens Reflex Camera which has been adapted for use with my Digital SLR.

This TTV technique produces grainy, slightly soft focus vintage style photographs. These pictures are charming and evocative glimpses of a photographic era gone by.

The 8x8 inch photograph is printed on premium quality paper fine art paper with pigmented inks, created in my studio darkroom and digital facility, where I work full time. The black area is visible on the picture and the print has a white outer border for ease of framing.

Please purchase this listing as well if you would like to add value to your art with a signed matt. This upgrade means that your picture will be supplied in a signed and hand titled matt.

The pictures here illustrate the matting on a variety of prints. I use a classic off-white colour, and a fine quality matt which has a lightly textured surface.

The matting service includes providing a backboard which is also titled and has some info about the artist attached. The matted work is then gallery wrapped in clear cello for protection.

All you have to do is add the frame of your choice!! If you have a frame already just tell me the dimensions you want - otherwise I will supply the matt as standard with a 3 inch border around the print window.

It is late afternoon on the Creek. The water is shimmering in the summer sun as it flows out along the 'Carrick Roads' waterway on it's way to the Atlantic Ocean. Out on the ocean, in the centre of the picture, huge ships pass by on the horizon, and in the foreground sailboats of many sizes lazily meander along the creek in the afternoon breeze.

On the hill-top on the right headland sits Cornwall’s greatest fortress, Pendennis Castle. The Castle was built 450 years ago by King Henry VIII to defend against possible attack by Spain and France. (See picture 3 for an enlargement of the detail described here)

On the shoreline on the left side, people are paddling in the shallows hauling in their row boats. (See picture 2 for an enlargement of the detail described here)

This is one of those pictures that you can look at for hours as there is so much detail in every part of it. It is probably not possible to see all of this detail on the small picture in this listing - but it will be clearer on the print, but needs to be BIG to be appreciated. In fact, I have a 16 x 16 inch print of it in my studio and it is a favourite with everyone.
