This unique set of SIX 1.25" pinbacks was handmade by me and Tess, our tecre machine. What fun! My upcycled pinbacks are all made using original found paper ~ they are never copies.

This set of 8 handcrafted polymer clay buttons was made by me. They arrive on their own card, also OOAK, handmade by me recycling papers from my stash. You can reuse the 6 strand embroidery floss after you remove your buttons! These bright four sided buttons remind me of clown fish. But my favorite thing about this batch has to be the one that looks like it has the United States of America on it!

Buttons vary a bit as each is a unique individual, but they are approximately 3/4". They are not sanded or coated. Just in their natural state.

Wouldn't these look great on a handknit sweater, change purse or bag? I photographed them on various fabric pieces to show how they might look on your own projects. The fabrics and extra yarn shown here are not included in this listing.

I recommend cold water wash, hang dry.

Fabric: 100 % cotton. Reclaimed denim jean piece with pocket on outside front - very cell phone friendly! - and a navy barkcloth back with gorgeous vintage dress fabric lining and handmade binding. The strap is cotton binding. This vintage button is one of my all time favorites - it reads: HEAD LIGHT. I think it is brass. It is a toggle button and, as such, it is floppy and moves about but, never fear, I hand sewed it on securely.

I hand knit this scarf using gorgeous Kureyon 100% wool, alternating two variegated multicolor skeins throughout, creating a unique, funky result. This scarf pattern is defined as child size. It is petite, but can also be worn by an adult. That's Scout modeling. She is about 5'4" ~ to provide some scale.

Approximate measurements: 5" X 56"

This scarf was lovingly made with care and attention. It has a folk art charm to me and will brighten the coldest winter day.

We're moving and I am parting with some of my beloved stamps. A few of these are fairly old. I used them when I was teaching second grade in the early 1990s. I know I had the Mary Engelbreit, the penguin and the Pooh stamp for years before that. The set with the teeny letters I found at a thrift store and it was unused. As you can see, it is almost that way now. I just tried it once. (It was fun!) The Invitation Stamp has barely been touched either. Most of them have been well loved and well received. They hold many happy memories for me.

My wish is for these stamps to find their way to a new home where they will continue to see a lot of use and bring many smiles. Perhaps they are meant for you. Time for some new memories to be made. :)

How precious are these? Adorable and retro all at once. Here is something you will never see anything remotely similar to again. I have had this magazine spread for 10+ years. The feature, from a French magazine, was on vintage buttons. I finally decided to part with these images little by little. I snipped each little button myself and lovingly paired each cutie with a coordinating background. I hope you love them as much as I do. I had such fun creating them.

These thumbtacks mean business! Handmade by me, Tess (our professional tecre buttonmaker). Large head tacks are attached with E6000 adhesive to the backs of hand pressed pinbacks...each one will always be OOAK as I use original images.

These tacks can be used on corkboards or walls and since they are a bit deeper and stronger than standard tacks, I found that if you don't push them in flush, you can drape your lightweight key or jewelry chain on one. Quite handy!

Not only do I adore Aliki's fanciful artwork, but she holds an extra special place in my heart. When I taught second grade (1990s), my first class and I wrote to ALIKI. The following September, when I returned to school, there was an envelope in my mial cubby, postmarked from London, England. Inside was a beautiful handwritten letter from Aliki to my class, including an (unnecessary, of course) apology and explanation for the delay in response. I still have that letter {which I laminated}. And when the students returned, I went to the three third grade classrooms and rounded up my former class and shared her gracious and personalized note with them. This was a small country school and the children were awed, thrilled and, most importantly, inspired. The letter was on display the remainder of my teaching career, brief as it was, and each successive class loved reading it over and over.

This particular book has always been one of my favorites. And I have read so many children's books it borders on a world record. I'm certain of it. This one delights its audience every time. If you can find a copy, I guarantee you'll agree with me.

While his brothers and sisters display their distress at the unwelcoming behavior of their supposed new friends, Bertrand, alone, has a bit of the feisty response in him. I love it. My tribute to a wonderful human being and artist. Read below for our story. This set features Bertrand, one of the six mice children who star in this tale. While his brothers and sisters display their distress at the unwelcoming behavior of their supposed new friends, Bertrand, alone, has a bit of the feisty response in him. I love it. I also adore sailor suits. But that's another story.

Delightful set of THREE 1.25" pinbacks, handmade by me & 'Tess' (our tecre). What fun! These upcycled 1977 children's book illustrations are taking a recycling detour straight into your heart.

As always at joonbeam, these are original recycled paper and, as such, are OOAK. I love it when I can save the environment, support our libraries and salvage a bit of an overly loved book or magazine.

The Source: This set is from the fabulous vintage book 'NICE NEW NEIGHBORS' by Franz Brandenberg and illustrated by one of my favorites, his wife, ALIKI. Wikipedia has a small but very nice entry on her. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aliki_Brandenberg

Not only do I adore Aliki's fanciful artwork, but she holds an extra special place in my heart. When I taught second grade (1990s), my first class and I wrote to ALIKI. The following September, when I returned to school, there was an envelope in my mial cubby, postmarked from London, England. Inside was a beautiful handwritten letter from Aliki to my class, including an (unnecessary, of course) apology and explanation for the delay in response. I still have that letter {which I laminated}. And when the students returned, I went to the three third grade classrooms and rounded up my former class and shared her gracious and personalized note with them. This was a small country school and the children were awed, thrilled and, most importantly, inspired. The letter was on display the remainder of my teaching career, brief as it was, and each successive class loved reading it over and over.

This particular book has always been one of my favorites. And I have read so many children's books it borders on a world record. I'm certain of it. This one delights its audience every time. If you can find a copy, I guarantee you'll agree with me.
