Full Moon Over The Bay Of Fundy Pebble Necklace

$125.00
I brought some stones & pebbles back from my trip to The Bay Of Fundy, Nova Scotia, and Cape Breton Island. I drilled a hole through this one and paired it with my own hand made recycled silver pebble. The sterling circle represents the full moon we were lucky enough to see from the top of the hill looking down at the bay. It was one of the most amazing nights in my life and this necklace represents my experience! The three elements hang from a sterling silver neck wire.
The neck wire is 18" long - I can make it smaller.

It's a fuzzy piece because the yarn (which as always is my own hand spun) contains the following fibers.....
camel hair, alpaca, silk, wool, mohair, sparkles etc...
The wrist cuff is a slip on with no closure - it's very soft & stretchy & warm. I'm using my little wooden duck but you get the idea!
Just like the famous "Chicken Poncho" I made this wrist cuff using my own hand spun yarn.
The yarn contains merino, silk, soy, sparkles, angora, sari silk, etc... These cuffs are stretchy and not at all itchy!
I drilled holes in this rough (but smooth) piece of shell for a button and attached it to the cuff with leather.
This will fit small to average wrists most comfortably.
Please contact me with any questions!
Solid Silver Herbal Horsetail Necklace With Hand Made Silver Button

$250.00
This is one of my favorite pieces I've ever made. I'm going to include some photos of the actual plant that is called Horsetail so you can see how beautiful it is. Horsetail was used by the Native Americans for scrubbing and cleaning pots, dishes etc.
I made molds of some horsetail plants I found while working on an organic farm. Small things thrill me so when I discovered the plants I spent the whole day learning about them.
The necklace features a fine silver horsetail which is about an inch long. It is strung with tiny fine silver beads with an aquamarine, a chrysoberyl, and a tiny fire opal.
At the back of the necklace near the clasp is a sterling hand forged button with an oxidized sterling blossom center. There are also a few rose gold vermeil beads.
The necklace is about 17" long.

Everything else is the same except the stag charm has been replaced with my daisy. The clasp is hand made and the necklace also features some Amazonite, hand made .999 silver beads, and other various surprises.
It is just about 16" in length.
The Daisy is a little larger than a quarter.

$75.00
This piece is very special to me. I plucked a small branch from a tree in my yard and made a mold of it. I used Art Clay Silver or PMC to cast the branch, over and over and over because every time I tried to file it it would break because it hadn't been fired in the kiln yet. It took a long time to make this branch but I love it. It's filed, burnished and oxidized to bring out the beauty of such a wonderful little bit of nature. The branch hangs on a two strand brown leather necklace. The clasp is hand made by me as usual, from fine silver wire. I attached a small orange carnelian briolette to the clasp because it seemed autumnal.

Featured In:
http://moodsandappetites.com/

Wild Columbine Photography Necklace

Wild Columbine is one of my favorite wildflowers. It grows readily in ridiculously out of the way places like rocky outcrops lining the most dangerous curves of Connecticut's curviest roads!
I made the frame using Art Clay Silver. The photograph is suspended in epoxy which I sanded and filed to give it a more abstract look.
The 1 x 1 1/2 " pendant hangs elegantly on a sterling silver neck wire. I make the neck wires using 18g sterling round wire, the hook is part of the wire and each one is different.
The neck wire is 18". I can make a smaller or larger wire for you.
This is truly one of a kind, not a ready made silver frame - I fabricated it entirely myself.

Silver Thumbprint Post Earrings

$40.00
These sweet little earrings are made from Art Clay Silver, see info below. I hand sculpted these earrings so they were covered with my thumb and finger prints. I filed most of the prints off but left just a little in the center of the squares for a little texture.
The earrings measure about a half inch square. They are not perfectly identical because I made them one at a time, each one has it's own subtle characteristics - truly one of a kind.
The posts and ear nuts are sterling silver.

About Art Clay Silver...
Art Clay Silver is basically the same thing as PMC precious metal clay.
The difference between the two is that Art Clay Silver is made in Japan from silver reclaimed from the film processing industry, that is to say, it is recycled!
The pure silver is pulverized into 20-30 micron sized particles and then is mixed with a natural non toxic binder. Upon firing the dried silver piece in a kiln the binder burns away and you are then left with a beautiful solid 99.9% silver work of art.

Ultra feminine and stylish!
I crocheted this necklace using different gauges of fine silver wire for strength, flexibility, and comfort. The toggle closure is also fine silver and is very sturdy but also pretty!
The length of this choker is 15" so I would recommend it for someone with a long willowy neck.
Thank you for looking!
P.S. I posted some photos of crocheted silver earrings that I also have for sale, they'd make a nice set!

I'll include a photo. They were kind of neat and plentiful to boot. I made a mold and used PMC to cast the charm after which it was fired in a kiln. It will fit on any cord or chain, if you use a cord it would look cool knotted right above the charm.

The pmc 'stone' looks like a beetle or potato. It's abstract. I is strung on saddle colored leather cord with a hand made clasp.

PMC silver cotton bole charm

$15.00
This came out NOTHING like I''d intended. I thought the inner part of the cotton flower - the bole was fascinating so I decided to reproduce it in silver. I never thought it would look like a reproductive organ, pierced I guess no less. To make this, I painted pmc slip over the bole I don't even remember how many layers. It is a solid piece so I must have used a lot.
The bole measures 1 1/2 inches top to bottom and 3/4 inch side to side at the widest part.
The bale is sterling 16g soldered wire and will fit over just about any finding.
