$3.50
Here's a nice vintage pattern which exemplifies the late 60s and early 70s. The copyright date printed on the envelope is 1970. The variation shown in the upper left of the envelope would work great for work or a date today.

This one's a great value considering all the mix-and-match pieces which work together.

From the envelope:

"Misses' overblouse, mini-skirt, pants and unlined jacket . . Designer Fashion: The sleeveless overblouse with back zipper closing and collar, has self unlined jacket with bracelet-length sleeves gathered to sleeve bands has front opening, patch pockets and optional top-stitching. The mini-skirt and the pants have elastic waistline casing."

This pattern is cut. The instruction sheet is present. The envelope is crumbling at the top due to age (see scans) but I'm including a nice tyvek envelope that you can store everything in.

THERE IS ONE PIECE MISSING.
This is the small piece "B", which is the shape for the placket tab coming down from the neck in some variations of the overblouse. It is a simple rectangle with a rounded end. That piece could be reproduced by hand according to preference, or the placket could be left off as an option.

Now 50% off!

Make it up in a nice mid-century curtain fabric or a vintage Hawaiian barkcloth.

From the envelope:

"Pattern includes these variations: Convertible neckline with one-piece collar and collar with attached band; Long and short sleeves; One-piece and pleated flap pockets."

The envelope is dated June, 1952. The tabbed closure on the bust is an interesting detail reminiscent of the early 70s.

Envelope reads:

"Maternity dress, jumper or tunic and pants in misses' sizes: the dress with back zipper has high round neckline, bias roll collar and long set-in sleeves gathered with elastic casings forming self ruffles. The line jumper or tunic has 'V' shaped neckline, tab detail at front with button closing. The pants have adjustable, elastic waistline casing."

Can you have a groovier use for that double knit polyester lying around?

The pattern is cut and all pieces and the instruction sheet are accounted for. The envelope shows some wear on the edges as expected for its age.

The pattern is copyrighted 1971.

Size 10.
Bust 32 1/2.
Waist 24.
Maternity.

Now 50% off!

Don't be afraid to break out of conformity! This would make a very individualistic accessory for the girl who's already got the go-go boots and rockabilly pencil skirt.

I especially like view 1, which has a very feminine soft tie closing at the neck and almost medieval style angled notches.

I also very much like View 2, which looks done up in white linen for the cover illustration. Would that be just **fab** for wearing to church on a breezy spring day? How about as an option for a formal wrap for a bridesmaid?

From the envelope:

"Misses' capelet, cape and poncho: V.'s 1 and 2 are faced or lined to the edge with collars finishing neck edges and fastening with hook and thread loop. V. 1 is trimmed with a tie and top-stitching. Arms extend thru slit openings. V. 2 capelet fastens with a button at front neck edge. Poncho, V. 3 has faced opening in front and braid trim. A tab buttons to front on poncho."

The original envelope is crumbling from age, but I'm including a nice tyvek envelope that you can store everything in.

Marked copyright 1964.

Size Large (about 18 to 20).

It's something my mom picked up on a vacation to Hawaii when I was young.

It's PAULOA Patterns brand, printed in Hawaii.

This shirt is a great casual tunic for a man, with a funny squared off deep v neck collar like I've never seen before. It looks like there's a button closure at the bottom of the square cut out (why??).

This pattern is multi-size -- you pick a size from small to extra large, and cut along those lines. (Make any one size.)

The pattern has never been used. It's printed on brown paper, not tissue. It's a very high quality pattern.

I cannot find a copyright date on it. Original price was $2.25.

It is the "cuff" piece, which is fairly small and simple to recreate. An experienced seamstress should have no problem recreating the rectangular piece.

This is a truly beautiful old skirt suit from the WWII era or before. You can see the skirt is still slim and basic, as they were before the post-war explosion of the New Look. Very professional, yet feminine and soft. This is classic Deco.

This one reminds me of His Girl Friday, tho I suspect it's a couple years later than that. You can just see the cover models running off to their stenographer's jobs, can't you?

The pattern pieces are cut and are in wonderful condition. Very usable. The instruction sheet is present. I've freshly ironed everything myself recently.

The original envelope is crumbling badly from age, which is common with 40s patterns. The paper was made with a lot of acid in it. However, I'm including a nice, new tyvek envelope that you can use to store everything in.

Size 13.
Bust 31.
Waist 25 1/2.
Hip 34.

This is one of my very oldest patterns, but you couldn't tell from the condition. The envelope is truly excellent for its age, with only a bit of tearing and crumbling around the opening at the top.

While a small number of the motifs have been cut out and are gone, the bulk of the supply is unused and like new. (See pics.)

The border designs are on one continuous piece of tissue measuring three and a half yards long. There are three different border designs (running parallel to each other on the one strip of tissue).

From the back of the envelope:

"These charming little sprays and borders with their many uses make adorable trimmings for infants' kimonos, sacques, caps, silk coats, pillows, sheets, pillow cases, bibs, etc. They are lovely, too, when used on fine house linens, such as guest towels, runners, boudoir pillows, etc. The embroidery stitches used are the simple ones and the work goes quickly. The illustration on the front of envelope shows a two color effect, but the design is also suitable for three or more colors, such as pink, blue and lavender for the flowers and green for the leaves."

It goes on to give detailed usage instructions. (See pic of the envelope back.)

Would be wonderful for embellishing baby clothing, lingerie, or even a wedding dress! Your imagination is the limit!

I'm sure you can think of more, such as appliques and hand embroidery.

Unbeknownst to me, there were two different sets of transfers in this set. I accidentally ironed one into the supplemental set of instructions. I'll include it in case it's of use still, but the purchase price is to cover the new, unused sheet of transfers pictured.

The one-cent stamps on the shipping envelope were put out in 1938, so the transfers cannot predate that.

http://en.allexperts.com/q/Stamps-Philately-1610/washington-cent-stamp.htm

I'm including a new tyvek envelope to store everything in.
