FEATHERY BLESSINGS ORNAMENT-Medium Onion

$3.50
This is an ornament for to put on your holiday tree to look at or to hang on a hook or in a window, to remind you of the blessings that you receive even when you think things are the bleakest ever...

It's made from a Round Glass Ornament that's 55MM or 2.16 Inches, Athonite Style Byzantine Blend Resin Incense, and Moulted Chicken Feathers.

The Incense is from Mount Athos in Greece and is a combination of Rose, Myrrh, Lemon and Gardenia, just like the Incense burned during the Divine Liturgy in the Greek Orthodox Church.

Birds have always been messengers to and from the Heavens so that is another reason that I used feathers to make these ornaments.

The Feathers are from my Feather Babies, Pet Chickens that I have owned and loved since 2003. Each one of them taught me different things:

TOM BRUNANSKI, an Easter Egger Pullet. Her feathers are Brown and Cream splash. She was killed on 08/08/03 in a Raccoon attack.

JERRY REMY, a Black and White Leghorn mix Cockerel. His feathers are Black and White. He was rehomed on 10/26/03 and presumed died during a below zero stretch.

SLIFER THE SKY DRAGON, a Light Brahma/Leghorn mix Crowing Hen. Her feathers are an Ash Brown and Cream with stripes. I lost her to a staph infection on 08/08/07.

MISS MONEYPENNY, a Silkie/Cochin bantam mix Hen. Her feathers are a coppery orange and brown. She died as the result of a combination of a Redtail Hawk attack and Marek's Disease on 05/01/08.

OBELISK THE TORMENTOR, a Black and White Leghorn mix Hen. Her feathers are mostly black, but as she's gotten older she's gotten more white in her plumage. She's still live and kicking and is Queen of Everything.

And here's what I learned from each of them:

From TOM, I learned to enjoy each day on Earth. She was always singing even as she was going to sleep.
From JERRY, Confidence. Make an Entrance with a Fanfare.
From SLIFER, Be Yourself no matter what anyone says.
From PENNY, Compassion and that you can do things no matter what your size.
From OBELISK, Thinking, planning and following through.

Please contact me if you want a larger quantity.
Convo me if you're from outside the States.

The ornament has free US shipping for Black Friday through Cyber Monday.

It has a ball and loop close.

The leaf is about 2 and a quarter inches long from BlueMoon Beads.
Chakra Poppet 1

She and her sister started out as Gemstone Poppets for the upcoming Pagans of Etsy Street Team Challenge, but they had something else in mind. They transformed themselves into Chakra Poppets instead.

Chakra comes from a Sanskrit word meaning "Wheel". Chakras are sort of energy centres in a person's body. They can be wheels or vortices...this is a link on Chakras, because I'm not up on them:
http://www.crystalinks.com/chakras.html

She's made from a Styrofoam Cone for her body and a Styrofoam Egg for her head. The forms are covered with a Cotton Quilter's Fabric. Her hands and face are black and her clothing has circles made of dots that just screamed out for sparklies in the centres. The cotton fabric for this poppet is black with white dots and rhinestones in the centres of the circles. It's made exclusively for Joann's Fabric and the name is simply Modern by M'liss Rae Hawley. Her hair is white and made of Red Heart acrylic yarn and she has a bindi over her Third Eye.

She stands a little over 9 inches tall and about 4 inches wide at her feet.

She is NOT recommended for children under 3 because of the decorations and googly eyes that could be taken off and swallowed.

She's also more of a creation to be looked at rather than played with...but she'll be a nice addition to a doll collection or on your altar.

I will certainly combine shipping if you buy more than one item.
I will ship all over the world...I will charge exact shipping outside the states.
Please convo me if you are not from the States.

Hu Nab Ku-The Celestial Butterfly Mola Style

$15.00
The Hu Nab Ku glyph, a Yin/Yang-ish spiraling symbol of Balance and Harmony, represents an ancient Mayan god of creation and the centre of our Milky Way Galaxy. This God fills us with Intelligent Energy and ushers us into the Age of Consciousness, which, according to the Mayan calendar, begins on December 21,2012.

The Maya constructed several detailed calendars and these calendars reflected cycles of the Earth and humanity itself. After each cycle of 5,125 years, the “universe takes a deep breath and begins again”, and according to the Maya Long Count Calendar, humanity is posed on the edge of a great unfolding of Balance and Understanding. Many have called this the Age of Aquarius, but the Maya called it the Age of Itza—Age of Consciousness. Some interpretations have set the Winter Solstice of 2012 as the time marking a gateway to the galaxies where Hu Nab Ku—the great mover—will pulse and fill us all with Intelligent Energy.

The Hu Nab Ku symbol is also called the Galactic Butterfly, which is said to represent all of the consciousness that has ever existed in this galaxy. This is all of our physical ancestors human, animal, reptile, fish, plants as well as the Consciousness which organized all of the raw material from a whirling spiral disk into stars, then planets, and finally solar systems. This concept was so vast to the Maya that they had no way to symbolize it until they chose the Butterfly as it's avatar.

Using one of these symbols is very powerful as it broadcasts your reaching to actively join the awakening consciousness of our Galaxy.

I used the Hu Nab Ku as the focal point of my entry in the Paganteam Challenge for September because of the Equinox being a Balance between Night and Day, Light and Dark.
Being Artisans, Parents, Partners, Spouses, Children, Caretakers, Bosses all require a balancing act.

You get both Hu Nab Ku flags. They're about 12 Inches by 9 Inches and will fit on a 1/4 Inch Dowel.

They're made of Felt, Polyester Satin Ribbon, and Poly/Cotton Blend Fuzzy Wired Ribbon in Opposing Colours of Orange and Blue done in a Mola Style. The Satin Ribbons are printed with Butterflies to accompany the Celestial Butterfly theme. The Fuzzy Ribbons contrast with the Satin Ribbons...Just like the Yin and Yang contrast and balance each other.

A Mola is a style of Reverse Applique done by the Kuna people of the San Blas Islands of Panama. It's hard work though and this way my first attempt at this artform...My StepMother is from Panama so it's sort of an homage to her also.

This shop features TRUE molas, which are exquisite pieces of artwork.
http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5383533

These are items that I would use on my Halloween/El Dia altar at home too.

The idea behind the "Altar in a Jar" is to be inconspicuous in case you’re not out of the “Broom Closet” or if you are, and you’re a cube-rat, it will remind you of your faith. Besides, it’s pretty and smells nice too, even if you don’t light the incense or candle.

Included in my "Altar in a Jar" are some Black Sand, Glass Skeleton Beads, and an Orange Votive Candle.
The Votive Candle in this one is "Candy Corn" AKA Cinnamon/Vanilla, and I would highly recommend if you're going to burn it to place it in a suitable burner.
The Jar itself is 5 Inches tall and 9 and a half Inches around.
The Glass Skeleton Beads are from a necklace making kit.

Halloween is a wonderfully magickal time of year for those of the Earth based religions. The veil between the our world and that beyond is thinner now, which is one of the reasons that we dress up as scary things...

I will also gladly combine shipping for more than one item.
Please convo me for out of the country shipping.
She hangs almost 24 Inches from the knot on her hanging loop to the tip of her longest feather.

It's made from a Brass Ring, Cotton Fabric, Cotton Thread, Metal Enamelled Charms, Heart Pony Beads, and Dyed Turkey Feathers.

The Fabric is a Light Pink printed with Black Kanji and Darker Pink Breast Cancer Ribbons. I was only able to translate one of the Kanji so far and that gave this DreamWeb her name. My DS doesn't want to help me do it either...and he's a Kanji-nut. sigh...teenagers

The Charms are an enamelled metal with the word "Hope" on them.

Two moms at my DS's elementary school died of Breast Cancer within 6 months of each other and my DH's Aunt had it also. So this is for all of them and the one's I don't know or haven't met yet.

All of the profits of the sale of Hope will go to a Breast Cancer charity.

This DreamWeb will come with a tag with it's name and the Native American Legend of the DreamCatcher.

I will also gladly combine shipping for more than one item.
Please convo me for out of the country shipping.

It hangs 33 Inches from it's hanging loop to the tip of the longest feather.

It's made from a Brass Ring, Cotton Fabric, Cotton Thread, Glass, Bone and Tagua nuts, also called Vegetable Ivory.
The fabric is a very rich looking Chocolate Brown, Ivory and Jade Paisley. I fell in love with the rich of the colours and had no idea what I going to do with it...but inspiration struck because I had bought some beads when I spent a couple of days with my sister-in-law and we went rock shopping. They were perfect!!!

Paisley fabric was named for a city in Scotland and I know a girl named Paisley...
According to Wiki, Paisley is a cross between a floral spray and a cypress tree. It's also called a Persian Pickle, which gave me a chuckle...Because the big kidney shapes really DO look like baby Gherkins...

The feathers are Dyed Turkey and Moulted Feathers from my Light Brahma/Leghorn hen, Slifer the Sky Dragon.

This DreamWeb will come with a tag with it's name and the Native American Legend of the DreamCatcher.

I will also combine shipping for more than one item.
It's a lovely rose colour with silver painting and rose and purple butterfly appliques.

There's a total of 10 Butterflies front and back of varying sizes. The leaves are in the front and the writing is on the back.

The verse states: Butterflies are God's Flowers on the Wing.

It's a size Medium, by Moda International, and is 100% cotton.

I made this item when fabric painting was in way back in the 80's. The butterflies were ironed on and then the edges were painted with silver fabric paint. The writing and the sprigs of leaves are all done free hand by me.

There is a small, less than a quarter inch, tear in the fabric near the neckline.

I will also gladly combine shipping for more than one item.

I will ship all over the world...I will charge exact shipping outside the states.
Please convo me if you are not from the States.

It's sad to see the leaves coming down and the birds flying away, but the breathtaking colours more than make up for it.

The fabric for this DreamWeb is an abstract leaf pattern. The colours are Rust, Tan, and Hunter green, while the Scrapbooking buttons are Rust, Camel, Olive, Chocolate, and Burgundy Maple style leaves.

This one makes me wish I had some good oldfashioned maple sugar candy right now.

Look EAST and harvest the fruits of our labor! This one has the wonderful colours of leaves that you can rake up into a huge pile, then jump into. These will be going into my compost heap to give something to my garden next spring.

This DreamWeb is made from a 10 Inch Brass Ring, Cotton Fabric, Cotton Thread, Scrapbooking Buttons, Pony Beads and Feathers: Dyed Turkey and Natural "French Partridge".

It's approximately 25 Inches long from the hanging loop to the tip of the longest feather.

The fabric on this one's darker than the other two, but I still liked it and had to get it. These seem more like the colours later in the season: Chocolate, Olive and Burgundy.

The "French Partridge" feathers belonged to my Aunt's collection of Dreamcatcher making supplies that she bought from Jay's Indian Store in AZ.

The name of this one is from a poem I just found:

"Colors burst in wild explosions
Fiery, flaming shades of fall
All in accord with my pounding heart
Behold the autumn-weaver
In bronze and yellow dying
Colors unfold into dreams
In hordes of a thousand and one
The bleeding
Unwearing their masks to the last notes of summer
Their flutes and horns in nightly swarming
Colors burst within
Spare me those unending fires
Bestowed upon the flaming shades of fall."
- Dark Tranquility, With the Flaming Shades of Fall

How very very apt!

This DreamWeb will come with a tag with it's name and the Native American Legend of the DreamCatcher.

I will also combine shipping for more than one item.
How does your Garden Grow

$30.00
You've found an EAST team Harvest Treasure Hunt Treasure! Look EAST and harvest the fruits of our labor! This has all of the things that I have grown or tried to grow in my garden and would like to be harvesting right now.

I love to garden and I made this one in honour of a dear neighbour who was a crackerjack gardener as well as a great friend, and I lost him a couple of years back now.

This is an 8 inch DreamWeb. It's made from a Brass Ring, Cotton Quilting Fabric, Glass Lampwork Beads, Metal Painted Beads, Scrapbooking Buttons, Cotton Craft Thread and Dyed Turkey Feathers.

Each DreamWeb comes with it's name and the story of the Native American legend of the DreamCatcher. I don't call my creations DreamCatchers because I am not a Native American and also because I don't use hides like a true DreamCatcher would be made from. I like the fabrics because there's so mant to choose from.

The fabric is a vegetable print with Summer Squash, Onions, Tomatoes and Broccoli, and all the beading goes along with the theme. There's Bell Peppers, in Green, Yellow and Red, a lovely Purple Eggplant, some ears of Corn, and some Carrots.

The price is adjusted according to the types of beads, how long the item takes to make, the size of the hoop...sometimes, I find a fabric I just gotta have and I may pay a bit more, but I try not to pass too much of that on to you...and it most certainly works the other way too...

I will also combine shipping if you buy more than one item.

It's got a black background with Calaveras (skeletons)in authentic dress, brightly coloured flowers and sugar skulls. Los Novios means Bride and Groom or the Newlyweds.

The Day of the Dead or Dia de los Muertos or All Saint's Day is a big holiday in Mexico and Latin America. There are large altars bedecked with Marigolds and other flowers and offerings to the dearly departed. Usually bread and marzipan skulls (sugar skulls) are also on the altar along with the favourite foods and drinks of the deceased.
It goes somewhat along with the Wiccan/Pagan traditions that say that the veil between the worlds is thinnest around Halloween and you can contact your loved ones. Oct 31 is when the children return and Nov 1 is for the adults.

To hang this in your home would be a sweet tribute to your loved ones.

UPDATE: I brought this DreamWeb to this year's Marshfield Fair and it won a Blue Ribbon!

This DreamWeb will come with a tag with it's name and the Native American Legend of the DreamCatcher.

I will also combine shipping for more than one item.

The one on the right is the Maize God and represents Life. He wears a necklace of Jade Beads and a headdress with the Maize (Corn) symbol. The one opposite is the God of Death and Disease. He wears Copper Bells and has spots on his body.

The original appears on Page 50 of the Dresden Codex.

On this shirt, I was experimenting with weathering the design a bit so that it appears to have been out in the rain forest. The colours are darker than the picture makes them out to be and I can rightly say that these guys are one of my favourites.

Each shirt will come with the story behind the design and care instructions.

Most of the shirts that I print on are Hanes Heavyweight 50/50. I made it for myself because I LOVE Leopardskin Jasper.

The 16 Inch Necklace has Hearts, Spheres and Chips of Leopardskin, along with Poppy Jasper Spheres and Wooden Rice Beads. The focal Leopardskin Heart hangs an inch and a half below the necklace. It has a barrel clasp.

The Pierced Earrings are about an inch and a half long. Their posts are Sterling Silver.

It's a lovely set, and I'm not just saying that because I made it. It has interesting contrasts of colour and texture.

I made the set in '98 and I feel the need to pass them on to someone who will love them just as much as I did. Every time I wore it, I got compliments on it.

I will certainly combine shipping if you buy more than one item.
I will ship all over the world...I will charge exact shipping outside the states.
Please convo me if you are not from the States.
These are items that I would use on my Mabon altar at home too.

The idea behind the "Altar in a Jar" is to be inconspicuous in case you’re not out of the “Broom Closet” or if you are, and you’re a cube-rat, it will remind you of your faith. Besides, it’s pretty and smells nice too, even if you don’t light the incense.

Included in my "Altar in a Jar" is some Russet coloured sand as a base, a real Pine Cone, Gooseneck Gourd, a few strands of wheat coloured Raffia, and a Votive Candle.
The Votive Candle in this one is "Cinnamon/Vanilla" and I would highly recommend if you're going to burn it to place it in a suitable burner.
The Jar itself is 3 and 1/2 Inches tall and 12 inches around.
The leaves have started changing or even dropping. Obelisk even has had some acorns bop her on the head, but I think the squirrels are aiming for her.So the candles and colours that I used in the "Altar in a Jar" reflect this: Red, Orange, Brown, Green, Straw Yellow. Corn, wheat, gourds, squashes, pumpkins, acorns, and apples are also all plentiful now.

Mabon is a harvest based Festival. It celebrates the second Harvest of the Year and is usualy on the Autumnal Equinox, around Sept 21st. The crops are gathered in, and winter is still a while away! It's a bit of a break until October's final harvest of the year. It’s a time to look back and reflect on the past year and to be thankful for the things you have or have done. Although the nights are getting a bit cool, the days are still warm and sunny.

I will also gladly combine shipping for more than one item.
Please convo me for out of the country shipping.
Rainbow Serpent-Dreamtime Bringer of Water

$24.00
This is a 7 inch dreamweb and part of the Gods Inspiration Series. It hangs 13 and a half inches from the knot in it’s hanging loop to the tip of it’s longest tassel.

It’s made from a brass ring, polyester wired iridsescent ribbon, rayon pearlescent effects thread, real Opal beads, iridescent pony beads and tassels.

I love Opals even though they're not my birthstone. I own a red/orange fire opal and a blue opal. These gemstone beads were another impulse item....at least I could use my coupon...LOL

Opal is Australia's national gemstone
Australia produces around 97% of the world’s opal
opals can be fairly brittle because they contain water, sometimes up to 13%.

The lovely colour changes of Opal reflects changing emotions and moods of people. Opals are like human emotions: you always experience them different and anew.

The Rainbow Serpent (also known as the Rainbow Snake) is an important mythological being for Aboriginal people across Australia, although the creation myths associated with it are best known from northern Australia.
He is seen as the inhabitant of permanent waterholes and is in control of life's most precious resource, water. He vies with the ever-reliable Sun, that replenishes the stores of water, forming gullies and deep channels as he slithered across the landscape, allowing for the collection and distribution of water.

Dreamtime stories tell of the great Spirits during creation, in animal and human form they molded the barren and featureless earth. The Rainbow Serpent came from beneath the ground and created huge ridges, mountains and gorges where Opals can be found, as it pushed upward.

It is known both as a benevolent protector of its people and as a malevolent punisher of law breakers. The rainbow serpent's mythology is closely linked to land, water, life, social relationships and fertility.
There are innumerable names and stories associated with the serpent, all of which communicate the significance and power of this being within Aboriginal traditions.
The myth of the Rainbow serpent is sometimes associated with Wonambi naracoortensis, a large snake of the now extinct megafauna of Australia He might've been a carpet python…

This DreamWeb will come with a tag with it's name and the Native American Legend of the DreamCatcher.

I will also gladly combine shipping for more than one item.
Please convo me for out of the country shipping.

$21.00
This is a 7 inch dreamweb and part of the Gods Inspiration Series. She hangs almost 18 and a half inches from the knot in her hanging loop to the tip of her longest feather.

She's made from a brass ring, velvet suede trim, cotton thread, Lava rocks, pony beads and moulted feathers from my partner in crime Leghorn hen, Obelisk the Tormentor and resident Grackles.

I bought the suede because it was on Clearance and the Lava Rocks were an impulse thing...All of you artisans know what I'm talking about...something jumps into your hand or your carriage and you KNOW you'll find something to do with it.
I paid full price too Ack!

The goddess Pele was supposed to grow up to become a water goddess(we all know how THAT goes), but when she discovered matches her fascination with fire took her in another direction entirely!
The headstrong young goddess ignored her mother’s instructions and managed to set her birthplace, Tahiti, aflame while playing with fires from the Underworld.
Pele's older sister Namaka, a sea goddess, threatened to flood the entire island to punish Pele for being so destructive. Fearful for the safety of her children, Pele’s parents loaded them into a canoe and instructed Pele to rush them to safety on another island.
Pele set about trying to make a new home for her family, but it was proving difficult because jealous snow goddesses kept sending blizzards their way. Sailing from one tiny island to another to escape the cold, Pele kept moving southward only to encounter tidal waves sent by her vengeful sister, Namaka.
Finally Pele laid claim to Mauna Loa, on the southernmost and biggest, island. And even the powerful Namaka couldn’t fling her ocean waves that high!
Though the winner of the sister wars, Pele did not emerge unhurt. With the death of her physical body she became a shapeshifting spirit.
Often she appears as a shapely young woman, sometimes as a small white dog, and other times as an old woman asking a stranger for a cigarette.
Like volcano’s lava that creates new land where it flows, Pele reminds us that, even fiery eruptions and emotional upheavals are followed by new life and change.
She,as an archetype, is a passionate and creative force that transforms and rebuilds the landscapes of our lives.

This DreamWeb will come with a tag with it's name and the Native American Legend of the DreamCatcher.

I will also gladly combine shipping for more than one item.
Please convo me for out of the country shipping.

$15.00
This is a 7 inch dreamweb and it hangs a 20 and a half inches from the knot in it’s hanging loop to the tip of it’s longest feather.

It’s made from a brass ring, cotton quilting fabric, cotton thread, scrap booking buttons, pony beads and dyed turkey feathers.

The design came to me as I was working on my NaNoWriMo story. One of the characters' foster/adoptive parents ran a vineyard in Basque Country in Spain. The region is called La Rioja. Then I came across a bottle of Wine in my cabinet and it too was from Rioja...so it was sort of destined that I needed to do a DreamWeb that had to do with wine...

I bought the scrap booking buttons first, in the spring, having nothing to match them with. But I had an idea. Then I found the fabric that looked like it was printed with tiny bubbles in purple and green that reminded me of grapes at AC Moore and knew that it was a bingo!

The turkey feathers are an Olive/Kiwi, sort of the colour of Grape Leaves and Royal Purple.

From dear old Wikipedia: "In vino veritas" is a well-known Latin phrase. It means “in wine [there is the] truth”. It is also known as a Greek phrase “Ἐν οἴνῳ ἀλήθεια” En oino álétheia, which has the same meaning. The author of the Latin phrase is Pliny the Elder, the Greek phrase is attributed to the Greek poet Alcaeus.

The phrase suggests that one tends to reveal his true feelings under the influence of alcohol. So very true and sad that...

The term is also found in other cultures and languages all the way back to Babylon...not the one in New York either...

This DreamWeb will come with a tag with it's name and the Native American Legend of the DreamCatcher.

I will also gladly combine shipping for more than one item.
Please convo me for out of the country shipping.

Dionysus-Lord of the Grape Harvest

$15.00
This is a 7 inch dreamweb and part of the Gods Inspiration Series. It hangs a little over 20 inches from the knot in it’s hanging loop to the tip of it’s longest feather.

It’s made from a brass ring, cotton quilting fabric, cotton thread, scrap booking buttons, pony beads and dyed turkey feathers.

I bought the scrap booking buttons first,in the spring, having nothing to match them with. But with an idea. Then I found the fabric that looked like it was printed with tiny bubbles in purple and green that reminded me of grapes, at AC Moore and knew that it was a bingo!

The turkey feathers are an olive/kiwi sort of the colour of Grape Leaves (mmm dolmathes) and royal purple.

To me, this dreamweb represents Lammas, the first harvest of the summer months and Mabon, the second harvest of the late summer early fall. Doing my research for my NaNoWriMo, I found that in the Northern Hemisphere, the grape harvest is started in August.

Dionysus also my entry in the August Harvest Challenge for the Pagan Team.

DIONYSUS was the great Olympian God of Wine, Vegetation, Pleasure and Festivity. He was depicted as either an older bearded god, or a pretty effeminate, long-haired youth(the first metrosexual I suppose). His attributes included the thyrsos (a pine-cone tipped staff), drinking cup, leopard and fruiting vine. He was usually accompanied by a troop of Satyrs and Mainades (female devotees or nymphs).

"Dionysos was named twice-born (Dimetor) by the ancients, counting it as a single and first birth when the plant is set in the ground and begins to grow, and as a second birth when it becomes laden with fruit and ripens its grape-clusters - the god thus being considered as having been born once from the earth and again from the vine." - Diodorus Siculus, Library of History 3.62.5

The first Disney portrayal of Dionysus, if you can believe it, was in the "Pastoral" segment of Walt Disney's 3rd classic Fantasia(One of my favourite movies). In keeping with the more fun-loving Roman God, he is portrayed as an overweight, happily drunk man wearing a tunic and cloak, grape leaves on his head, carrying a goblet of wine, and riding a drunken donkey named Jacchus ("jackass"). He is friends with the fauns and centaurs, and is shown celebrating a harvest festival.

This DreamWeb will come with a tag with it's name and the Native American Legend of the DreamCatcher.

I will also gladly combine shipping for more than one item.
Please convo me for out of the country shipping.

$20.00
This is a 7 Inch DreamWeb and part of the Gods Inspiration Series. It hangs almost 22 Inches from the knot of it's hanging loop to the tip of it's longest feather.

It's made of a Brass Ring, a Cotton Quilter's Square, Cotton Craft Thread, Gemstone Beads, Pony Beads, and Dyed Feathers.

The Fabric is a Teal, Olive, and Tan Batik which complements the Carved Shell Focal, which is a Peacock, and Blue Chalcedony Gemstone beads.

The Feathers are Mint Green, Kiwi and Cocoa along with matching Pony Beads.

Hera was known as the Queen of Heaven to the Ancient Greeks. One of her symbols was the Peacock. She had a watchdog called Argus and he had a hundred eyes. He watched over the Golden Fleece, yeah, THAT one, and he was lulled to sleep and killed so that Jason could steal it. In her sadness, Hera took all of Argus' eyes and put them on a Peaccock's tail so that he could still be on guard.

Hera was revered as the only one of the Greek Goddesses whom accompanied a woman throughout her entire life.

The Goddess Hera blessed and protected a woman's marriage, bringing her fertility, protecting her children, and helping her find financial security. Hera was, in short, a complete woman, overseeing both private and public affairs.

It hangs about 22 and 1/2 Inches from the knot of it's hanging loop to the tip of the longest feather.

It's made of a Brass Ring, a Cotton Quilter's Square, Cotton Craft Thread, Gemstone Beads, Pony Beads, and Dyed Turkey Feathers.

The Fabric is a Orange, Turquoise, Brown, and Rust Batik print which complements the Epoxy metal focal pendant, the Peach Agate gemstones, and brightly coloured Pony Beads.

The Feathers are Cocoa, Tangerine, and an Ultrahot Red. I also used natural wood beads.

The Aten was the life giving force of light according to some of the ancient Egyptian beliefs. All creation was thought to emanate from the God and to exist within the God. The worship of the Aten was one of the first monotheist beliefs in the world and only lasted during the Armana Period of the 18th Dynasty.

This DreamWeb will come with a tag with it's name and the Native American Legend of the DreamCatcher.

I will also gladly combine shipping for more than one item.
Please convo me for out of the country shipping.
