This piece was inspired by the room in John Singer Sargent's beautiful painting "The Dinner Table at Night (A Glass of Claret)"

She waited, lonely in the small dark restaurant, a glass of claret her only company. Had she been stood up? Had they agreed on 10 or 11? Her mind began to play tricks on her as her claret disappeared. She would wait 10 more minutes and then she would leave while she still had some pride left. She would not wait all night for this rabbit.

PLEASE NOTE: the colors in this are much more vibrant than the image on screen shows.

From the second she started out that fateful day, Tilly had a feeling that she had bitten off more than she could chew. The Little Teacup was fragile, and the handkerchief sail had been attached only by a tiny dollop of gorilla glue. The skies had changed from a jovial baby blue to an angry Grey. The vengeful winds had torn her sail free with ease. Now it was long gone. Tilly felt a shiver down her spine. "You should have checked the weather reports. You should have used more gorilla glue. You should have brought more corn." Now, as the teacup was tossed here and there, the courage of the tiny chick was tested.

A formal portrait of a very serious kitty who found a stray poodle-esque dog and adopted her as her own.
This kitty has a VERY strong nurturing instinct as normally these two probably wouldn't get along so well.
Kitty even carries her around in her dress, all the while referring to the little dog as "My Baby, My Baby". What luck to have found such a kind feline soul.

The Amazing Eunice and her trusty giant circus cat
(Not technically a circus cat, but she likes to dress up in feathers and sequins ;) and yes, the beast is really the amazing one, but Eunice likes to think she's the brains behind it all)

Eunice has cleverly engaged the fantasy sector of the mighty cat's brain with promises of tuna and kitty fame...
So, they're OFF! to pick the prettiest wildflowers, and nibble on wild strawberries. They have agreed to play it by ear and possibly spend the night in the forest huddled up against one another. Campfire, s'mores, and stars!

I want a little mouse like Pearl. One who helps you with your jewelry and such.
The lovely lady in the portrait keeps a hunk of sharp cheddar cheese on a chain around her neck as a motivational tool for Pearl. It's an added benefit for Pearl, but she does it mostly because she's such a sweetheart and needs to keep busy to calm her nerves.

Pearl also does Madame's hair. She's still trying to convince Madame to let her build a little nest up there.

Both hail from Scotland and are keen on all things Scottish, (except HAGGIS.....they both have very dear cow and pig friends and refuse to eat meat of any sort).

Angus and Wallace met by chance when Angus' mother was teaching him how to be a good mouser. Angus just didn't have the heart, and they have been fast friends since.
