This a a spherical sachet, filled with dried lavender buds, rosebuds, and orange peels. It is a large sachet, measuring about 3 1/2" tall and having a circumference of 8 1/2 inches. It holds a lot of flowers!

It is knit from 100% mercerized cotton, in a snowy white color. It reminds me of a big clove of garlic. Doesn't smell like it though! It has a loop attached to the top of it so it can be hung (hang it by an open window to circulate the scent) or it can simply be placed anywhere you want smelling nice.

These are dried rose buds & petals, orange peels dried by me, and English lavender buds, grown in France. They are very fragrant. This is a skein of handspun yarn, 100% -very soft- merino wool. It measures 12wpi or approximately sport weight. It is a singles, or one-ply yarn, and this skein is about 155 yards. There is another smaller skein also in my shop.

Color - PASSION FOR PURPLE
This yarn is spun into long color repeats, which should create a random striping effect in the finished product. It is a similar effect to the Noro yarns. This is one skein of beautiful, naturally colored yarn handspun on a drop spindle. Fiber content is approximately 80% huacaya alpaca and 20% bamboo. The fiber was spun in such a way that creates an uneven mixing of the fibers, allowing both fibers to fully show through.

The alpaca is wonderfully light and fluffy and buttery soft, and the bamboo is pure white and so shiny. The alpaca is a natural light grey color, with flecks of black. It's a 2-ply yarn, allowing for extra strength despite the wonderful softness.

Alpaca is an incredibly soft fiber, and warmer than wool. Bamboo is slick and shiny, almost like silk. Two of my favorite fibers, together in one yarn, with the best qualities of both.

This skein measures 35 yards, or approximately 32 meters, and 13 wpi which is about sport weight. It matches well with the other skeins of gray alpaca handspun yarn in my shop, because they have all been spun from the same fiber. This skein is slightly thinner than the others.

WELCOME TO CRAZY TOWN!
We have enough crazy to share here. This yarn is just a little artifact from crazy town... Start with a base of wool yarn, a hand-carded mix of black and brown-gray. Then, every so often, throw something a little CRAZY into the mix... Maybe bamboo, maybe alpaca, maybe silk, maybe wool. The end result is a completely 100% unique yarn, and a mix of fibers that are a real treat for a knitter or crocheter.

This is a 2-ply yarn, approximately 80% wool with the remaining 20% being a mix of alpaca, silk, bamboo, and merino and rambouillet wools. The wool is a dark gray to black mixture, and every so often there is a length of mixed fiber in a range of colors, from white to gray to blue to purple to pink. The mixtures only last a few yards before going back to the black and grey wool, so it will probably form short lines but not stripes, depending on what you're knitting and at what gauge.

There are 70 yards in this skein, and it measures 9 wpi, or approximately worsted weight. It would make a very cool hat, pair of fingerless mits, or scarflette!

This is a small skein of alpaca yarn handspun by me on a drop spindle. It's a good way to experience knitting with handspun yarn without a large investment. You could make a hat or neckwarmer out of this skein, or combine it with another yarn for a larger project.

This yarn is 2-ply, 10-11 wpi (approximately worsted weight), and measures 66 yards. It is 100% huacaya alpaca in a natural light gray color, and is buttery soft and deliciously fluffy. There's just enough halo to it. It would be great for dyeing, producing a heathered effect.

Note: The photos show two small skeins of yarn, that were combined into this larger skein. The actual skein is larger than the photos show. It contains 66 yards of yarn.

Handspun Alpaca Beaded Artyarn, 34 yd, DK weight

This is a handspun yarn consisting of two handspun plies of huacaya alpaca, in a natural light grey color, and one ply of commercial laceweight yarn (50% baby alpaca, 50% merino) with size 8 silver colored glass Japanese seed beads strung onto it.

The beads are scattered randomly throughout the length of the yarn, which will result in a beautiful texture and sparkle in the final product. The lace yarn is white while the other two plies are grey, which will result in a subtly marled or tweed look.

There are about 34 yards in this skein and the yarn measures about 10 wpi, or around DK weight. It is slightly thick and thin. This yarn would go well in a project combined with any of my other handspun yarns, especially the other grey alpaca yarns spun from the same roving.

This yarn is beautiful to look at and buttery soft, with just enough texture from the spinning and the beads.

This is a black and green scarf knit with stripes and an openwork lace pattern. The yarn is a fuzzy nylon/acrylic blend, a blend of chenille and eyelash to create a soft, wispy, luscious texture. This texture obscures the lace pattern a bit, making the eyelets more subtle. The dark black and leafy green contrast one another dramatically.

This petite felted bowl is funky and cute. It would be great to store loose change, jewelry, or other little trinkets. It was wet felted from 100% wool roving, in a natural warm brown-grey color. It is undyed. It was felted in a spiral shape (like those little snake pots you used to make from clay!), which you can just make out along the edges. It is a little fuzzy, as it is made from wool, with hairs sticking out along the edges.

This pattern - Three Sachets - is actually three patterns in one! It contains knitting instructions for a bag, globe, and pyramid-shaped sachet, perfect for lavender, rose petals, or anything else scented. The bag sachets make great gift bags too!

All three patterns are knit seamlessly in the round, on size US2.5 (3mm) double-pointed needles. If you can knit socks, you can knit these sachets, and they're great for using up leftover sock yarn! Gauge is not critical either, so you can easily upsize them for larger yarn and larger needles if you wish.

As it was spun, the colors mixed and mingled (rather like a party) into a whole spectrum of colors. Now it's purple, green, red, pink, orange, almost any bright color you can think of!

This soft, fuzzy, thick wool bowl was wet-felted by hand. It almost resembles a bird's nest, with its furry exterior and smooth, spiraled interior. The bowl was built up from the center, in a spiral, like the snake bowls you made in clay for art class. It measures approximately 1 1/2" tall and 3 1/4" across.

This is a handknit lavender and orange sachet in a pyramid shape. The yarn is 50% superwash wool, 25% soy, 22.5% cotton, 2.5% chitin (made from shrimp and crab shells). The yarn is a stripey mix of lime green, grape purple, hot pink and teal blue. It is filled up with dried orange peels and lavender buds. It smells REALLY lovely and quite strong too. It measures about 3" tall and has a loop at the top, allowing it to be hung up. Hang it up near an open window to let the wind circulate the scent. You can also place it in a clothes drawer, yarn box, or anywhere you'd like to smell nice.

These lavender buds are dried English lavender buds, grown in France. They are very fragrant. Lavender is also a natural insect repellent, including moths, so it is the perfect thing to keep in your yarn stash or sock drawer. They also make great additions to gifts. I dried the orange peels myself.
