This scrumptious handknit scarf design is one of Crickets’ best choices for someone who doesn't want fuss and fuzzies--just pure class and intricate stitchery! I used one strand each of medium tan caramel and dark chocolate brown and one strand of nubbly, textured novelty yarn with bits of chocolate fudge, amber caramel and rusty red brick colors throughout.

This built-to-last scarf is fashionable without being suffocating and is the perfect length (about 6 feet/2 metres long including fringe--NOTE: PLEASE TELL ME THE HEIGHT OF THE MAN WHO'LL WEAR THIS SCARF AND I CAN RECOMMEND A DIFFERENT SCARF SO I CUSTOMIZE LENGTH IF NECESSARY AT NO EXTRA CHARGE--I'm now out of the yarn to make more of these, so they're in limited supply and only the 6 feet lenght is available). He can either leave it dangling like a rock star or bundle around the neck to really set off his features. Very nice heft/texture--I made this one durable and sturdy for dog walks, golfing, camping, evening outings and more! A substantial 6.5 inches wide, with perfectly matching yarns worked into the generous fringe tassels.

Please note: This scarf is a very limited edition (I can make about three of them, EVER) from a very special yarn that was imported from Turkey and isn't available in US stores. Only the best for him!

I made this "Mat O' Fringe" over an inch thick with pale, classy neutrals including cream, eggshell, taupe, buff, ecru, camel, sand, pearl, beige, tan, ivory, vanilla and so much more. It can either be laid out in a 2' x 2' square or an oval measuring 4' x 2' (will be slightly thinner when laid out in an oval, of course).

I've made one side more "frou-frou" with fancy, bulky and/or textured yarns than the other side, so you can flip it over depending on the look you're going for.

I made this "Mat O' Fringe" over an inch thick with earthy, woodsy, Bohemian colors in every hue. It can either be laid out in a 2' x 2' square or an oval measuring 4' x 2' (will be slightly thinner when laid out in an oval, of course).

I've made one side more "frou-frou" with fancy, bulky and/or textured yarns than the other side, so you can flip it over depending on the look you're going for.

This new Irish Cream scarf was a special request from my customer-turned-pen-pal-turned-friend Jennykins! There are several shades & textures of mossy, woodland green stripes and fringe throughout this double-thick, slightly extra wide (if you'd like it the normal width for $5 less, please let me know) cream design. This softly colored scarf is warm without being suffocating and is the perfect length (about 6 feet/2 metres long including fringe) to dangle down to the thighs/knees like a rock star or bundle around the neck to really set off your features.

As with most of my scarves, please just let me know if you'd like yours a little different; custom orders & special requests are welcome and I generally can make a design more heavy/lightweight, wider/thinner, shorter/longer, use different colors, etc.

This scrumptious, handknit scarf design is one of Crickets’ best choices for someone who doesn't want fuss and fuzzies--just pure class and intricate stitchery! I used one strand of eggshell white, another of funky gauze/net off-white and finally one strand of nubbly, textured novelty boucle yarn with bits of soft white, olive drab greens and perfect yellow throughout.

I made this "Mat O' Fringe" over an inch thick with earthy, woodsy, Bohemian colors in every hue. It can either be laid out in a 2' x 2' square or an oval measuring 4' x 2' (will be slightly thinner when laid out in an oval, of course).

I've made one side more "frou-frou" with fancy, bulky and/or textured yarns than the other side, so you can flip it over depending on the look you're going for.

This original design includes over FIFTY different yarns of various textures & colors including plum purples, goldenrod yellows, sky blues, indigo navy, poppy and pumpkin oranges, wet bark browns, cottony creams, new grass & teal greens, rich reds, wildfire charcoals and so much more.

This stunning scarf was a long time coming, and I'm so delighted with how it turned out! I special ordered the best ribbon yarn on the market in this scrumptious fuschia pink purple, teal green and black ribbon yarn (it came all the way from Italy and isn't available in stores). Then I took a bit of a risk and added a cuddly black, fuzzy yarn with orange-coral, teal green and fuschia-magenta nubbies to flash up the ends and fringe. I'm stoked that I decided to take a risk and use yarns that complement rather than match (one has purple where the other has coral-orange to mix it up a bit)--this one really works!

An interesting, handknit design that's brand new and so different, this mmmmmm soft scarf is silky without being suffocating and is the perfect length (almost 6 feet/2 metres long including fringe) to dangle down to the thighs/knees like a rock star or bundle around the neck to really set off your features.

I made this "Mat O' Fringe" over an inch thick with pale, classy neutrals including cream, eggshell, taupe, buff, ecru, camel, sand, pearl, beige, tan, ivory and so much more. It can either be laid out in a 2' x 2' square or an oval measuring 4' x 2' (will be slightly thinner when laid out in an oval, of course).

I've made one side more "frou-frou" with fancy, bulky and/or textured yarns than the other side, so you can flip it over depending on the look you're going for.

This sophisticated, unisex, kinda-sorta all-fringe blanket makes a wonderful professional photo portrait prop for any session!

**Important Note: My "Fringies" work only as a photography prop for short periods under direct supervision; they're not a functioning baby blanket or toy and are for professional use only. Other accessories not included.

My dear, repeat customers--you know who you are! *smile* You grace me with your friendship and you support me with your orders...and you check back at least once a week to see what new treasures I've cooked up for you! Well, here she is, the newbie of the day...and she's one of a kind! I felt like doing something a little bit different from my usual while still embracing my signature style. You KNOW how much I usually depend on texture; this time, though, I wanted to make a four seasons scarf whose 5 strands of yarn would provide the perfect balance of heft and lacey openness. I also wanted the intricate stitchery to stand out and that's only possible with smooth yarns.

Oh, the beauty of this Crickets original! Let me tell you about each of the 5 "strings" that make up this subtle Quintet in white, mint/seafoam, lavender purple, periwinkle blue and soft rose pink. The sparkly, shiny, shimmery thread gives Fiver an Elven gleam. The 3 strands of fine, lace-like cotton provide neutral temperature (just like Goldilocks - not too hot, not too cold). And then I threw in a strand of matte, super-soft and cuddly yarn for its nurturing qualities. And for the fringe, I added a perfectly matching "shoelace" type yarn AND another smooth yarn to bulk up the 18 tassels.

This gently colored scarf is fashionable without being suffocating and is the perfect length (about 6 feet long including fringe) to wrap around once.

I made this "Mat O' Fringe" over an inch thick with pale, classy neutrals including cream, eggshell, taupe, buff, ecru, camel, sand, pearl, beige, tan, ivory and so much more. It can either be laid out in a 2' x 2' square or an oval measuring 4' x 2' (will be slightly thinner when laid out in an oval, of course).

I've made one side more "frou-frou" with fancy, bulky and/or textured yarns than the other side, so you can flip it over depending on the look you're going for.

This sophisticated, unisex, kinda-sorta all-fringe blanket makes a wonderful professional photo portrait prop for any session!

**Important Note: My "Fringies" work only as a photography prop for short periods under direct supervision; they're not a functioning baby blanket or toy and are for professional use only. Other accessories not included.

This soft-as-satin, handknit scarf design fears she may be a little too "out there" for most customers. And she's right; she needs someone artistic and insightful to appreciate all that she has to offer! I tell her that she can be proud of her shades & textures of teal green, odd orange-red-coral, unapologetic purple, cuddly black and dark pink magenta throughout. I special ordered the thick, satiny ribbon (all the way from Italy, this yarn isn't available in US stores) to create our little friend, so her arrival was planned! :) I've assured her she will find her true love soon enough. I made this "Mat O' Fringe" over an inch thick with earthy, woodsy, Bohemian colors in every hue. It can either be laid out in a 2' x 2' square or an oval measuring 4' x 2' (will be slightly thinner when laid out in an oval, of course).

I've made one side more "frou-frou" with fancy, bulky and/or textured yarns than the other side, so you can flip it over depending on the look you're going for.

This original design includes over FIFTY different yarns of various textures & colors including plum purples, goldenrod yellows, sky blues, indigo navy, poppy and pumpkin oranges, wet bark browns, cottony creams, new grass & teal greens, rich reds, wildfire charcoals and so much more.

A Super Fringie is the perfect way to show off bunny rabbits, cats, kittens, puppies and small to medium adult dogs!

I kept imagining different, fun things to do with it as I was making it...like lay it in a wicker laundry basket or one of those red wagons or even right on the floor and have the pet lay or sit on it and then take the pic slightly from above with them looking up at the camera...or arranging it in the seat of a chair...so many options!

I made this "Mat O' Fringe" over an inch thick with earthy, woodsy, Bohemian colors in every hue. It can either be laid out in a 2' x 2' square or an oval measuring 4' x 2' (will be slightly thinner when laid out in an oval, of course).

I've made one side more "frou-frou" with fancy, bulky and/or textured yarns than the other side, so you can flip it over depending on the look you're going for.

This original design includes over FIFTY different yarns of various textures & colors including plum purples, goldenrod yellows, sky blues, indigo navy, poppy and pumpkin oranges, wet bark browns, cottony creams, new grass & teal greens, rich reds, wildfire charcoals and so much more.

My PenPal Buddy Jennykins is the brain behind this scarf, I simply provided the brawn (and the extensive yarn collection, lol) to make it happen! :)

The result is this extra long (SEVEN FEET!), extra wide (EIGHT INCHES!) handknit, super-cuddly and warm, thick scarf. I sent Jennykins a pic of about 15 different yarn possibilities and she replied, "I want all of 'em, please!" So, I doubled up on the texture and color; many stripes contain two yarns knit together, on TOP of the two strands of smooth, jet black that make the foundation. Colors include sparkly, glittery white, cobalt blue, peacock blue, royal blue, baby powder blue, etc...lots of shades of blue!

I made this "Mat O' Fringe" over an inch thick with earthy, woodsy, Bohemian colors in every hue. It can either be laid out in a 2' x 2' square or an oval measuring 4' x 2' (will be slightly thinner when laid out in an oval, of course).

I've made one side more "frou-frou" with fancy, bulky and/or textured yarns than the other side, so you can flip it over depending on the look you're going for.

This original design includes over FIFTY different yarns of various textures & colors including plum purples, goldenrod yellows, sky blues, indigo navy, poppy and pumpkin oranges, wet bark browns, cottony creams, new grass & teal greens, rich reds, wildfire charcoals and so much more.

**Important Note: My "Fringies" work only as a photography prop for short periods under direct supervision; they're not a functioning baby blanket or toy and are for professional use only. Other accessories not included.

This stunning scarf was a long time coming, and I'm so delighted with how it turned out! I special ordered the best ribbon yarn on the market in this scrumptious blue-clay-metal colorway (it came all the way from Italy and isn't available in stores), even though I had no textured accent yarns to go with it. When it arrived, I could hardly wait to get started designing! Still, it was months before I found the perfect brassy-bronze, metallic sparkle yarn to flash up the ends and fringe. I ordered it, too and it finally arrived on my doorstep last night!! I added a super-soft, blue, textured yarn to caress the neck in the middle and Voila! A scarf is born.

I made this "Mat O' Fringe" over an inch thick with pale, classy neutrals including cream, eggshell, taupe, buff, ecru, camel, sand, pearl, beige, tan, ivory, vanilla and so much more. It can either be laid out in a 2' x 2' square or an oval measuring 4' x 2' (will be slightly thinner when laid out in an oval, of course).

I've made one side more "frou frou" with fancy, bulky and/or textured yarns than the other side, so you can flip it over depending on the look you're going for.

This sophisticated, unisex, kinda-sorta all fringe blanket makes a wonderful professional photo portrait prop for any session!

This bright & cheery design is one of Crickets’ problem-solvers because it's crocheted with 2-3 strands of yarn throughout. What that means is that it won't get thin, stretch and choke the wearer the way some thinner scarves can. It really holds its shape!

There are several shades & textures of golden yellows, buttery yellows, and creamy off-white throughout. This angst-ridden teenager of a scarf is first cousin to "Yes, Dear Scarf," shown here:

She was too shy before to show herself; now she's feeling emboldened because "Yes, Dear Scarf" found a home and she's hopeful that she will, too (they have the same textures of parent yarns in different colors).

Minty Fresh Oxymoron feels torn between babyhood and adulthood; she wonders if there will ever be a place for her! Her pastel parts are all innocence and girlish sweetness. Her contrasting black accents find themselves thinking serious, grown up thoughts. Sometimes she can't stand the fact that she's so soft and yielding; she worries she won't be respected. I tell her that scarves are supposed to be soft and however she turned out is just perfect. After all, her parent yarns were a match made in heaven and a union so right couldn't be wrong. I made this "Mat O' Fringe" over an inch thick with earthy, woodsy, Bohemian colors in every hue. It can either be laid out in a 2' x 2' square or an oval measuring 4' x 2' (will be slightly thinner when laid out in an oval, of course--in this image by Shelly, the Super Fringie has been expanded to full length).

I've made one side more "frou-frou" with fancy, bulky and/or textured yarns than the other side, so you can flip it over depending on the look you're going for.

This richly colored, unisex, kinda-sorta all-fringe blanket is so special because it contains sparkly olives and browns in addition to the usual Bohemian colors at no extra charge!
