Mirrors of the Heart - A Deck of Favourable Cards contains 43 inspirational words and images that you can use for affirmations, readings, teaching and creative explorations. The theme of this tarot related, oracle deck is favourable images.

The cards are offset printed reproductions of original linocuts that I handmade (carved and hand printed) in 1994.

The cards are black on tan and measure 3½” x 5½”. They come boxed with a brief introduction.

I sell worldwide. I give $2.50 of each sale to the Stephen Lewis Foundation that works to turn the tide of AIDS in Africa.

I've listed air shipping rates for North America (the lower 48 States and Canada) and the United Kingdom.

Red Papier (Paper) Mache Mask

This handmade papier mache mask measures 5 1/4" x 3 1/2". It hangs from a small cotton yarn loop. I made the mask in 1998 and have kept it in my collection until now.

The colours are all formed from Japanese papers that I used as the final layer for this mask. It's lightly protected with a coat of satin acrylic medium which is like a varnish.

I've signed and dated the back of the mask.

Red is one of a kind in a series of different masks that I made in the late 1990s. I created the form out of plasticene and then covered it with layered brown paper soaked in paste. When the layers dried, I lifted them off the original form and completed the mask. I found maskmaking a wonderfully expressive art.

Merino Wool Handmade Felt Wallhanging

I made this small (approximately 5 1/2" x 6") felt wallhanging in 2006 from merino wool. I used the wet felting technique which involves lots of hot water, soap and elbow grease.

I think of the image as UFOs, but it could be anything you see. It's been in my collection, in my smoke free home, since I made it.

The wallhanging has a plastic ring on the back for easy hanging and a cotton label with my name and other information on it. I've also initialled the lower right front corner with an embroidered "L."

Paper (Papier) Mache Mask--Original, Hand Painted

I made this paper (papier) mache mask of a goddess in 1997.

It's an original piece of artwork and is one of a kind. I created the mask from one of two moulds that I made from rock and plasticene. The finished masks from this same mould are entirely different from one another.

Once I had made the mould, I applied layers of torn paper and paste to it. I then painted the final layer and the inside with acrylic paint and added a layer of satin varnish. (The inside is the same pale blue that's on part of the front.)

The mask measures 5 1/4" x 7" and is very lightweight. It comes ready to hang and is signed and dated on the inside. It's been in my collection since I made it, in my smoke free home.

Here’s a soft merino wool felt purse that’s great for carrying small treasures.

When closed, it measures 4 ¼” x 5 ½”. The measurement is approximate since the felt has a naturally uneven edge.

I made the felt using the seemingly magical wet felting method, which involves hours of strenuous, yet rewarding, work. I then hand stitched the purse with cotton yarn.

As always, the colours on your monitor may differ from the actual wool a bit. So, here’s a list of the colours: white, brown, turquoise, red, blue and yellow felt with yellow yarn and two small buttons that are brown and light green.

I made the felt using the seemingly magical wet felting method, which involves hours of strenuous, yet rewarding, work. I then hand stitched the purse with variegated wool yarn and added the three buttons.
