This happy pup stands 4 3/4" tall and 5" long. Made of plaster or chalkware and covered with a flocked-velvet material, he has brown beaded eyes and a red tongue sticking out.

His back left leg appears to have been broken before, but is repaired and sturdy now. There are chips on his left ear and left front foot- please see the pictures!

Not sure if its a husky or akita or what, but he's cute!

These trays are painted in the Sycamore pattern by Franciscan China, produced from 1958-1961. Pretty cream background with turquoise, pink and green sycamore leaves on it.

The divided relish dish is 10 1/2" long by 5 1/4" wide. Large oval platter is 13 1/4 long by 8 1/2" wide. Both are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing, but there are some utensil marks.

This vintage wall-mounted knife block is adorable! Decorated in a pretty strawberry and cream palette with a floral decal on the front.

Made by Des Moines, Iowa's Cobbs-Hopkins Co. in the 1930's and it still has its original label intact!

Holds 5 knives with 2 slots for 3/4" wide blades, 2 slots for 1 1/4" blades and 1 slot for a 1 1/2" blade. Measures 9 3/4" tall.

It's in excellent condition, with some slight wear, but the paint and floral decal are in great shape!

This painted ceramic pup sits about 6" high and is around 4 1/2" long front feet to his tail. Marked Japan on bottom. His leg appears to have been broken at some point but is now repaierd, sturdy and barely noticeable.

I'm not sure if this is a Pointer or Dalmation or something else, but he sure is cute!

This trio of wooden nesting boxes are made from thin wood and are decorated with vintage pictures of children, animals, toys and gnomes (of course). The gnome and elf characters, as well as the lederhosen and dirndl outfits on the kids, has me convinced they're from Germany or Switzerland, though I'm not totally sure.

Each block has an image on all four sides, with plain tops and open bottoms for nesting. Each box also has dovetailed edges. The top on the largest box could use a little wood glue, but otherwise all are in great shape with just a couple minor dings on the corners. The largest box is 4.75" all around, the medium box is approx. 4" all around and 3.5" all around.

I absolutely love this figurine! The colors, the face, the costume- just too cool.

I believe she is made of painted papier mache- she's in great shape with some scuffs and normal wear and tear. No major structural issues with her body or head. The spring that holds the head on is not glued down- something that could be easily fixed, but in any case is not necessary for her head to wobble. She stands approx. 6.5" tall. Made in Japan sticker on the bottom, though her outfit looks Chinese to me.

Red Rooster Wooden Kitchen Canister Set

Brighten your breakfast with this set of vintage Japanese wooden kitchen canisters! Each of the four bins is decorated with an identical design of two red, green and yellow roosters with a swirling yellow border around the edge. They are unlabeled, but are presumably for sugar, flour, coffee and tea...of course you could put whatever you want in them!

The boxes are dovetailed on the edges and have a recessed knob on top. They stack easily and fit inside one another- the largest is 8.25" tall, 6.75" wide, while the smallest is 5.5" tall and 4.75" wide.

Vintage Swiss Alps Beer Can

This can of Alpine Ayingerbrau Lager was brewed by the Brisith company Alpine Ayinger Brau (UK) Ltd in Tadcaster, Yorkshire. While the beer apparently once had a cult following, a few of the reviews I've read say it was nasty and was even called "Alpine Arse Juice." Well, at least the can's still cool!

It features a smiling old gent smoking a pipe and drinking beer from a stein with the alps in the background. 15.5 oz can measures 6" tall, 2 1/2" across. Made from sturdy, old-school tin.

An excellent addition to your can or bar collection- it would also be great for converting into bookends, nightlights or lampshades...or whatever other craft project you can think of!

This vintage Creamer/Pitcher/Vase is made from gorgeous creamy white ironstone china. It's in excellent shape- the finish is smooth and shiny- and it's decorated with a sweet swiss dot pattern. There is one tiny stain, which can be seen on the lip of the pitcher in the last picture. The set, which includes a platter, pitcher and lid, measures approx. 6 1/2" tall. The pitcher alone is 4 1/2" tall and 3 1/2" across.

This vintage vessel could be used to house fresh cut flowers, serve gravy or to pour the morning milk in your coffee.

Vintage 1950's New York Knickerbocker Beer Tray

New Yorkers, Knicks fans and baseball fans, gather 'round!

This colorful beer tray was made for Knickerbocker Beer, the famous New York City beer brewed by Jacob Ruppert. The tin tray has scenes of George Washington umpiring a baseball game, dancing in a pub with a band playing and at the bar singing. The back is marked with the Knickerbocker logo and the sides of tray read "Have a Knick." Measures 12" across, 1" deep. Has some rusting in spots- please see pictures!

The term "Knickerbockers" was fist used in Washington Irving's History of New York, published 1809. By 1831, the term had become the local slang for quaint Dutch-descended New Yorkers, with their long-stemmed pipes and knee-breeches. In 1842, the "New York Knickerbockers" were an amateur social and athletic club organized on Manhattan's Lower East Side and were the first to play baseball following written rules. The New York Knicks basketball team also get their name from the word.

1958 Italian Virgin Mary Statue

This gorgeous statue of the Virgin Mary would make a beautiful addition to your holiday decor. The base is marked "the Pilgrim Virgin of Fatima," referencing the appearance of Mary at Fatima in 1917 to three little shepherds. According to the story, Mary requested that her statue be carried in procession by men dressed in white and so a pilgrim statue of Our Lady of Fatima traveled around Portugal in 1947, showering many graces on her path. Praying to the statue continues around the world today.

This hand-painted plaster statue is signed "C.S. '58" on the back. She's pretty tall, measuring about 14 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" across at widest. There is some obvious damage in the cloud structure she stands upon- visible in the pictures- but she has no problem standing. There are some other nicks and marks- not to be unexpected with a plaster statue this old!

This gorgeous vintage children's book follows the adventures of Hans, who has worked for seven years and is finally going home to see his mother. His boss had paid him a lump of gold for his wages. The gold, however, starts to feel heavy, so he trades it for a horse. The horse, however, is exciteable and bucks him, so he trades it for a cow. The cow, however, kicks him when he tries to milk her, so he trades her for a pig....and so on...until he finally arrives home empty-handed- and still declares himself the luckiest under the sun.

The original story was introduced to the world by the Brothers Grimm and the book is illustrated by Swiss artist, Felix Hoffmann. Published in 1975 by NY: Atheneum. This is the First U.S. edition. Measures 8-1/2" high x 12" wide. Hardcover. Ex-library copy with related stampings and markings. Pages are bright and in good condition with a few bent corners.

This book, part of the Follett Beginning to Read Series, is about four friends- a little gray mouse, a little brown rabbit, a little blue bird and an old green turtle- who help keep each other safe from a hungry black cat. Their friendship helps the animals prevail in the end, and the black cat gets chased off by a black dog.

Each page has simple text and bright, pretty color illustrations. Includes a word list in the back and states that it "has been tested in second grade classes, where it was read with ease."

First edition, published in 1958.
By Carol Hoff, illustrated by Jim Ponter.
No dust jacket. 29 p. Measures 6 1/2" by 8".
In excellent shape, though "1962, to Jolene from Aunt Daphine" is writting on the inside cover. Otherwise, no issues!

This is the 1974 printing of the 1955 story by Grosset & Dunlap. The book is in fantastic shape- the gorgeous illustrations inside are bright and pages are in good shape. There's some minor wear on the cover edges but nothing major of note. It's big- measuring 9 1/2" by 11 1/2". Hardcover.

Cheery Ceramic Teapot from the UK

This pretty ceramic teapot is made by Sadler China, a British company founded in Staffordshire in 1882. They're still one of the leading manufacturers of teapots in the UK.

This one's decorated with black, cherry red, maroon and lime green flowers on a cream background. The lid, which has a little vent hole, is olive green. The interior is clean and undamaged- looks unused! The exterior has some minor chipping on the back paint- please check the pictures.

10" from handle to spout, 6" tall.

1950s Pyrex-Waring Beehive Blender

Mix it up in style with this fantastic circa-1950's Waring Blender!

This is the PB 5 model, with a beehive base, clover leaf Pyrex-brand glass top and metal blades. The grey top is likely bakelite. It was manufactured by Connecticut's Winsted Hardware and Manufactureing Company and sold through New York City's Waring Products Corporation.

The blender is in great working shape! There's some rust on the exterior spinning base (see pictures), but it does not affect the use of the blender. The two-prong plug fits into modern outlets and the 60" long cord is intact with no damage. It also has setting for Low and High blending.

Waring is the same brand Starbucks currently carries due to its superior quality and reliability- as this belnder is proof of! A perfect, functional addition to your retro kitchen!

1961 Pyrex Delphite and Gold Mixing Bowl

This pretty 4 quart cinderella mixing bowl is decorated in the Golden Grapes pattern with gold foil grape leaves on a painted white background. The glass is actually a pale delphite blue, visible on the interior and bottom- kind of unusual for a pyrex bowl. Measures 13" across from handle-to-handle, 10" across without handles, and is 4 1/2" tall. Its foil and paint have some wear - please note the pictures- but there are no cracks, chips or structural issues.

Honolulu Eyes- 1920 Player Piano Scroll

This beautiful vintage piano scroll would be great for paper crafts or could be hung as art in any small or large space!

The scroll actually features the song "Honolulu Eyes," a waltz usually played on a ukelele. It was written by Howard Johnson and composed by Violinsky.

**They're waiting patiently,
tenderly, calling me o'er the sea,
Where they play the tune,
"Aloha" underneath the moon,
I know a road to paradise
In the light that lies,
In those Hula, Honolulu Eyes.**

The scroll measures 12" wide, and who knows how long- it goes quite a long way! The paper is wrapped around a plastic spool. One ond of the scroll is chipped. The paper is in good shape for its age though there is a small tear at the end of the scroll and some spotting here and there.

Comes in its original box, featuring an art deco scene on top and pictures of famous composers on the sides.

I've never seen this pattern before and don't see it on my favorite pattern reference site, pyrexlove, either so I'm assuming this lovely little retro dish is pretty rare!

This 1.5 quart oval dish is a pretty celery/olive green color with a gold floral decoration on both sides. Comes with clear glass lid. Paint is in very good shape with some minor nicks. Interior is in excellent shape as well.

Measures 10.5" from handle to handle and 7" across.

This is one cool book! It follows Sally and her brother Christopher as they explore their neighborhood and find things to count. They count from one to twelve. The illustrations are so colorful and fun!

The book is quite beat up, with markings in it and wear and tear throughout. Ex-library copy. It's still in good enough shape to read, but would also be a perfect candidate for a decoupage or collage project!

1950's Brush Pottery Squirrel Planter

This super-cute planter features a mischevious squirrel on a log, with a space inside the log to grow a plant, keep knicknacks, hold pencils, store matches next to your fireplace or put your etsy shop business cards!

Measures approx. 6" long, 3 1/2" wide and 4 1/2" tall. Planter opening is approx. 3" by 2". I believe it was made by Brush Pottery Co. of Roseville and Zanesville, Ohio in the 1950's. No chips or cracks, but as noted in pictures, the glaze is crazed (that's that crackly finish you see) but smooth- I think it gives it a nice authentic, aged look!
