Soysilk is a natural fiber made from the waste leftover after making tofu. It is a natural, chemical free process and the fiber is environmentally friendly, renewable, and biodegradeable.
Yarn made from soysilk is soft, drapey, warm and best of all absorbs moisture and allows skin to breath. It can be washed in the washing machine and will not felt.
It's one of the fibers that you just have to try, it is beautiful in blends ,but really, nice enough to stand on it's own. Takes dye nicely, not as slippery as bamboo to spin.

This listing is for 1/2 oz. of french angora rabbit wool.It is a pretty grey color (technically he's a blue). This is scrap approx. 1 - 1 1/2 in. long (though some may be longer) I like to use this wool for felting or adding texture and little bits of softness to wool.

If you have never spun silk before this is what you want to start with and if you have spun caps or hankies, forget everything about them, this is a totally different creature. This is THE silk to spin. It is the best that I have ever come across. Super easy to draft, already in roving form, shiny, silky, a pleasure to work with. I don't think anything done with this could come out badly, it's just that good. Mulberry silk sliver is the same mulberry silk as the brick, but in a thinner preparation. It is the highest quality silk available out there.
