For this design, I deeply textured a custom shade of blue polymer clay with a butterfly design and applied to the top of the tin. I hand-colored each butterfly with various colors of powdered pigment. After curing, I brushed on a polymer finish and cured once more.

If the tin requires cleaning, it can be hand-washed with water and a mild liquid detergent and dried with a soft cloth.

Jewelry Display Mannequin

The mannequin's head, hair and clothes are made from polymer clay. Her "shoes" are painted on with black acrylic paint.

Her original wood base is glued to a 4 1/2 inch square ceramic tile for added stability.

From the bottom of the base to the tip of her hat, she is about 13 3/4 inches tall.

Kosher Salt Bowl - Beautifully Hand-decorated

I use Kosher salt exclusively when I cook and I wanted it right next to my stove top. So, I bought a glass covered bowl and covered it with polymer clay. I use it every day and decided it would be an excellent item for my shop.

For this bowl, I textured the clay and brushed on three colors of powdered pigment, giving it a raku look. I used letters cut from polymer clay to spell out "Kosher Salt" and applied to the top. The clay is on the outside of the bowl only so the salt does not come in contact with it.

To clean, simply hand-wash with warm soapy water and dry with a soft cloth. Please do not put it in the dishwasher.

This adorable camel will look great on your desk, counter, craft-show table or wherever you would like to put him. He can hold business cards, mail, recipe cards and anything else you would like to organize.

Sculpted from polymer clay, he has a mini-slinky middle that stretches out about 12". His measurements are approximately 6 1/2 inches long, 2 " wide and 3 1/2 inches high.

After curing, I used acrylic paint to "antique" his body to bring out the texture and highlight certain areas.

The latest in my line of Springy-critter business card holder, this sweet-faced dog will look great on your desk, counter or craft-show table.

Sculpted in polymer clay over solid wood balls, the head and rear are attached to a mini-slinky which stretches almost 12". It will hold a lot of business cards, mail, recipe cards or whatever you need contained.

After curing, I sanded and buffed to a soft sheen.

Closed measurements at the widest parts are 5 1/2 inches long, 3 inches wide and 2 3/4 inches high.

If you are giving a gift of tickets...theater tickets, lottery tickets, any kind of tickets...enclose them in a decorated tin that is a gift in itself and requires no further wrapping other than a nice bow.

The top of the tin is covered with leaf textured polymer clay with the work "TICKETS" centered in the design. I brushed on pigment powders in green and gold, cured and then sprayed with an acrylic protective coating.

Butter Dish with Hand-decorated Cover

Why use a plain glass butter dish when you can brighten up your table with this one? In a pretty floral pattern, it will add a decorative touch to your table setting.

The outside top of the butter dish top is covered with various colors of polymer clay using a layering technique. Each section of the flowers and leaves were cut separately from various colors of clay and adhered to the base blue layer. After curing, I sanded with three grades of sandpaper and buffed to a soft sheen.

The original butter dish top didn't have a handle so I added one, making removing the top 100% easier.

The top of the butter dish must be hand-washed with liquid dish detergent and dried with a soft dishcloth. The bottom of the butter dish is not decorated and is dishwasher and microwave safe.

Santa and the Chimney Light Switch Cover

There's no such thing as too much holiday decorating. This adorable light switch cover attests to that. Santa has left all his gifts and is coming out of the chimney, looking for his sleigh.

The "bricks" and Santa are polymer clay, covering a plastic light switch cover. After curing, I sprayed the cover with an acrylic sealer.

Sculpted with a bright shade of purple polymer clay over a wood ball base, this little pups head and rear are attached to a 1 1/4 inch diameter metal spring in a matching purple. A varathane finish gives her a bit of shine.

Pup is perfect for holding, among other things, business cards, mail or recipe cards.

Purple Pup is a bit over 4 inches inches long, 2 1/4 inches wide (from ear tip to ear tip) and 2 inches tall (to tip of ear). The spring stretches out over 12 inches.

I have had more fun creating these holders, which I call Springy-Critters, than anything I have ever done with polymer clay.

The idea for Springy-Critters came to me while I was playing with the mini slinky I had put in my husband's Christmas stocking. At the time, there were a couple of bills laying on my desk that needed to be in sight so I wouldn't forget to pay them. Everything just came together at that moment and I went to my craft table and made my first holder.

Every Springy-Critter is one-of-a-kind. I may make similar critters but no two will be exactly alike.

This colorful critter is polymer clay sculpted over a wood armature and brushed with pigment powder. He has a 1 1/2 inch diameter mini-slinky center which stretches out about 12 inches. It is 5 inches long, 2 3/4 inches wide and 2 inches high.

If she gets dirty, dampen a cloth in warm, soapy water and gently wipe clean(do not submerge in water). Dry with a soft cloth

Her closed measurements are 5 1/4 inches long (from end of tail to tip of snout) x 2 1/2 inches high x 3 3/4 inches wide (ear tip to ear tip).

Christmas cards will be arriving in the mail before we know it and we all need a method of displaying them throughout the season.

This adorable hand-sculpted Christmas Dog has a metal spring middle that stretches out 14" and will hold a lot of cards. His body and rear are polymer clay covered wood balls and his head, hat, scarf and candy cane are entirely polymer clay. After curing, he was sprayed with an acrylic sealant.

He would be so cute on a mantle, side table or cocktail table.

The entire piece (closed) 5" inches long, 3 1/2 inches tall and 1 3/4 inches wide (not including his candy cane).

The dog is easily cleaned using a soft, damp cloth (mild detergent can be used if necessary). He cannot be submerged in water.

For this design, I used green and white polymer clay and blended until I had a pretty dark to light sage green. I textured the clay with a ginkgo leaf design texture sheet and applied to the top of the tin. After curing, I sprayed with an acrylic protective coating.

Polymer Clay Baby

Just waking from a long nap, this adorable baby is yawning and stretching and ready to be fed.

This 6 1/4 inch, 4.6 oz. sculpture is 100% polymer clay...no molds were used. The baby's complexion was blushed with non-toxic, heat-set paint. Because it is baked onto the clay, it will not rub off.

The blanket, shirt and cap were fashioned from one of my polymer clay canes.
