I love skate eggs and this popular magnet was cut out of copper -- it was then hammered, filed, sanded, and soaked in liver of sulphur to blacken it. It is 6" long and 1" wide. It has a very strong magnet on the back.

This keychain started with a pretty, dark, smooth river rock I found at beautiful Rye Beach in New Hampshire. The bezel is sterling silver and is made to withstand being dropped -- it's a very sturdy piece. It is 2" long x 1 1/4" wide and feels great in your hand. It can also be worn as a pendant.

Enameled pure silver seed pod ring

The inspiration for this unique ring started with a walk on the beach where I found these interesting black seed pods washed up along the shore. I am fascinated with the man-made appearance of these little pods but have have not found a lot of information about them. I did find a small drawing in my nature encyclopedia that tells me it could be the seed pod from a white cedar tree and was propably washed down the Merrimack River from New Hampshire.
I have used a few different techniques in creating this ring. The first was coating the actual seed pod with liquid metal clay and firing it in the kiln. The actual seed pod burns out leaving a pure silver shell. The size 9 ring was enameled, sodered, and polished.

This pure silver pendant was inspired from a piece of brain coral. It is made from pmc (precious metal clay), which is pure silver and an organic binder in the form of clay. The organic binder is fired off in the kiln and what is left is pure silver. It is domed and about 2" across in any direction. This piece comes with a leather chord.

This one of a kind copper pendant has been etched from a drawing that was inspired by the empty skate egg cases that I can't stop picking up at the beach. I am fascinated by their shape and use it in many of my pieces. The pendant was first etched and then enameled. It is 4 1/2" four long and 6/8" wide. The back is smooth and signed and comes with a black leather chord.
