8 oz Golden Tea Bowl - Wood Fired

This tea bowl is so beautiful and will make anything you drink or eat taste better! It is 2 5/8 inches tall and just under 3 1/2 inches wide and holds 8 ounces. It sits up on a lovely rounded foot. Great for tea or chowder!

It was fired in the maiden firing of the Madras Dragon which is an anagama wood fired kiln in the high desert of Central Oregon the first week of March 2009. I applied glaze to the inside and top half of the exterior so that it would pleasant to hold and drink from.

It is lead free and perfectly safe for food. It is also oven proof, microwavable and dishwasher safe.

It has my mark, a kitty paw print, on the outside, and my signature and the year made on the bottom.

Flower Pot - Perfect for African Violets or anything that doesn't like water on the surface

I started making flowerpots for my brother who loved growing African Violets.

He was also obsession about cleanliness and hated scratching his counter or table. So I made a flowerpot with a big watering trough on the bottom and I glazed the pot upside down so it would be smooth on the bottom so it wouldn't scratch any surface. The trick to growing lovely African Violets is to water from bottom - I just pour water into the watering trough once or twice a week depending upon on dry the dirt is.

This listing is for one pot, the one without the African Violet growing in it. It's 4 1/2 inches wide at the opening of the growing vase and 6 inches wide at the watering trough. It's 4 inches tall and the watering trough is 1 1/4 inches tall.

Since the pot is glazed it is water tight and won't ruin your furniture of window sill.

The color is a blue that could be described as steel blue because it sort of has flecks of gray. There is no glaze on the top because I fired it upside down so the bottom could be glazed.

Perfect for African Violets - you can see how happy mine is!

Tea Bowl or Sake Cup

This little wheel thrown cup holds 1/3 of a cup or a little more than 3 ounces.

It would make a lovely tea bowl or sake cup.

It's light and delicate, too small for my normal cat paw imprint, but it's still signed. For some reason I didn't date it, but it was made this winter.

Raku Lidded Container Brilliant Copper Blue Magenta Bronze and Golden Crackle Glaze

This jar or lidded container is 6 1/4 inches in diameter and just over 4 inches tall. The lid fits perfectly.

I made it on a potter's wheel and then Raku fired it in the American Raku method. Pottery is removed from the kiln while still red hot and put in a bed of combustible materials to smoke which results in spectacular colors and design. Even the very bottom of the container is glazed.

It would be a perfect for keeping the jewelry that you take off at bedtime, especially if you have pesky kitties that like to play with your stuff....

White Crackle Raku Vase with Black Diamond Decoration

I threw this vase on the wheel. Before applying glaze prior to the raku firing I applied painters tape around the perimeter which looks like a row of diamonds. I left the diamond area unglazed and the smoke from the raku firing created a black diamond pattern. I used a white crackle glaze on the top and a matte sparkle glaze on the bottom. I think it's quite spectacular.

Raku pottery is low fired ware, porous, and will NOT hold water. It is intended to be mainly decorative, however you may place/use a glass or equally watertight receptacle inside the raku piece should you want to use it to hold real flowers.

The vase is 6 1/2 inches tall and 6 1/2 inches wide. Just about a perfect globe shape.

It would look beautiful in anyone's home or office.

Raku Heart Pin

This raku heart pin is so colorful! The clay was imprinted with the design of a doily before cutting into a heart shape. After the heart was bisqued fired it was then glazed and fired again in a raku kiln.

The pin is about 2 inches high and 1 3/4 inches wide. I attached a metal clasp on the back.

This raku heart will look good on any jacket or top. A perfect Valentine's Day gift.

I can't remember which I did first, but I know the black swirls were applied while the bowl turned on the wheel and the shino was poured over the bowl because it was just too big to fit into my glaze bucket.

The bowl is 8 3/4 inches in diameter at the top rim and 3 inches in diameter on the rounded foot at the bottom. It is 3 1/2 inches tall and holds 6 cups (1 1/2 quarts) when filled to the very brim.

It would make a lovely salad serving bowl or a great popcorn bowl! (Popcorn sounds so much more fun!)

Raku Pottery Aromatic Diffuser Candle Holder - White

I made the candle holder and little bowl to hold the aromatic oil on the wheel. The candle holder was raku fired. The little bowl that sits on top of the candle holder is meant to hold oil which will be heated with a tea light candle. The little bowl was high fired so it will withstand heat without breaking.

You could use it without oil or the little bowl on top, just as a candle holder. But, aromatic oils can spice up any room.

This candle holder is a white with a cream colored diffuser bowl that fits on top. The candle holder is 2 1/4 inches tall and a little over 2 1/2 inches in diameter. It comes with a little tea light candle.

Pottery Bowl Black with Pink Swirls

I enjoy making bowls and strive for beauty in each one I make. On this bowl I used two glazes that I love, but I reversed the order when I applied the glazes. First I dipped the entire bowl in a black glaze and then after that glaze dried I put the bowl back on the potters wheel and then squirted a basic cream colored glaze in swirls on the bowl while the wheel turned round and round. The basic cream glaze turns pink when it mixes with the black glaze. Totally cool!

The bowl is 6 inches in diameter at the top rim and only 2 inches in diameter on the rounded foot at the bottom. It is 2 3/4 inches tall and holds 2 cups when filled to the very brim.

My mark, a kitty paw print, is on the outside of the bowl.

It is microwave and dishwasher safe and it's lead free and perfectly safe for eating.

White Crackle Raku Jar or Lidded Container

The jar is 5 inches in diameter and 3 1/2 inches tall. The lid fits perfectly. It would be a perfect for keeping the jewelry that you take off at bedtime, especially if you have pesky kitties that like to play with your stuff....

This lovely container was thrown on the wheel and then raku fired with a white crackle glaze on the outside and blue green crackle on the inside. There is a small hairline crack on the bowl of the container, but that is the nature of raku, and it will still be a wonderful decoration. You wouldn't see it if you weren't looking for it.

Blue Raku Vase

I threw this vase on the wheel, then raku fired it with the lovely navy blue glaze. The inside of the pot was glazed with a colorful matt glaze. The pot is cool looking because the glaze did it's own thing, with bubbles and splotches that make it very organic looking.

Raku pottery is low fired ware, porous, and will NOT hold water. It is intended to be mainly decorative, however you may place/use a glass or equally watertight receptacle inside the raku piece should you want to use it to hold real flowers.

The vase is 5 inches tall and 5 1/2 inches wide a lovely globe shape.

It would look beautiful in anyone's home or office.

This Sushi Plate was made by impressing a mullen leaf into a slab of clay. I then cut around the leaf and softened the edges. After a bisque firing it was glazed with two glazes to get the wonderful blue green color. The veins of the leaves come through and make it extremely organic.

Since the plate was made from an actual leaf others will vary a bit. Most of the plates are 7 to 8 inches long and 2 1/2 to 3 inches wide. Just perfect for a serving of sushi. I have a dozen to choose from.

Burgundy or Mauve Lidded Container

This lidded container is 4 1/2 inches tall when you include the lid and 2 1/2 inches tall if you just include the bottom section. It is 5 1/4 inches in diameter. The glaze I applied is called "eggplant" and has the lovely burgundy eggplant color where it is thicker and then blue and green where it is a bit thinner. This one turned out quite lovely.

The jar could be used to hold your most prized possessions or just look pretty. Since it is high fired pottery it could even be a mini-casserole dish.

It is lead-free and food safe. It is also microwavable, ovenproof and dishwasher safe.

2 Nesting Bowls - Green with Black Swirls

These bowls are wheel thrown and are so pretty. They stack together perfectly. They have swirls on both the inside and the outside.

The smaller bowl is 2 inches high and 4 1/2 inches in diameter and it holds 6 ounces with a bit to spare. The larger bowl is 2 1/4 inches high and 5 1/2 inches in diameter and it holds 12 ounces with a bit to spare. They are extremely lightweight.

I used two glazes: first I applied matte black glaze in rings and splotches on both the inside and outside of the bowls as they turned on the wheel and then I dipped each bowl into a green glaze. They have a very warm look to them. The both sit up on the most lovely rounded feet, making them look extra tall, as if they were standing up straight.

The bowls were high fired and are lead free, perfectly safe for eating. They are also oven proof, microwavable and dishwasher safe.

Each have my mark, a kitty paw print, on the outside.

Each bowl is signed and dated on the bottom.

Sage Green Textured Heart Pendant

I pressed a doily into the clay before cutting the heart shape. The edges of the heart pendant was then smoothed and when thoroughly dry was fired the first time. Then I applied the glaze and fired it a second time.

The back of the pendant is not glazed. I have some customers who apply aromatic oils to the unglazed stoneware.

The colors range from sage green, teal, lime green and gray.

The pendant is about 2 1/4 inches tall by 2 inches wide.

Green Raku Heart Pin

The smoke from the raku firing leaves black residue in the crackle and the back of the pin which was left unglazed.

Blue Green Jar with Curly Top Knot

I threw this jar on the wheel in two pieces and then added the curly top knot afterwards. The lid fits perfectly! The glaze is just spectacular! The blues and greens just sparkle and have an almost irridescent look. This is one of my favorite pieces to date.

The jar itself is 3 1/2 inches tall and about 3 3/4 inches in diameter at the widest. The lid adds about 1 1/2 inches bringing the total height to 5 inches.

It's such a lovely jar and since it's lead free and water tight, it could be used for storing food or anything you like. Or, it is so pretty, it could stand on it's own.

Vase or Lidded Container with Green Yellow Blue and White Dots

I made this lovely vase, jar or lidded container, on the wheel, then I spent hours with a little paint brush making an intersecting design with white, blue, yellow and green dots, one dot at a time. I did have some lovely music on at the time, but oh, my gosh, the hours I spent dotting this pot! I wanted the natural color of the terra cotta clay (the warm red orange or "terra cotta" color) to remain but wanted to add a little decoration. Colored dots just seemed to fit the bill. The glaze itself is clear and simply highlights the natural color of the clay and the dots I added.

As for the size: The jar (or vase), without the lid on, is 5 3/4 inches tall - with the lid on it's is 6 1/4 tall. The lid fits perfectly. The jar (or vase) sits up on nicely rounded foot, which is 3 1/4 inches in diameter. The vase is 7 inches in diameter at the very widest. Volume wise, it holds 7 cups of liquid.

Although it was made as a "lidded container", it can be displayed without the lid and looks perfectly fine. Terra Cotta clay is a low fired clay and like a terra cotta casserole or baking dish it will absorb liquid and although you can wash it and bake in it, it will slowly but surely absorb some of the smells or the items you put it in.

Heart Trivet Tray - Textured and Dotted

I went a little blind making this bowl, but it was worth it! It was made with terra cotta clay which is what gives it the warm rust color. I impressed a doily onto the clay and then applied blue, green, yellow and rose glazes on the bumps created by the doily. It is also edged in yellow. I wanted to decorate the bowl, but also wanted the terra color to show through, so dotting the humps fit the bill.

A heart shape is difficult the measure, but it is approximately 5 3/4 in diameter. It would be perfect to collect earrings by your bedside or hold chocolate truffles. The uses are endless.

It would also look pretty just sitting on a counter. It should be on display rather than sit in a cupboard.

Surprisingly it is microwave and dishwasher safe and lead free and perfectly safe for holding food.

16 oz Teal Green and Midnight Blue Large Pottery Mug

This mug is handmade and was thrown on a pottery wheel. It is 5 3/4 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter (not including the handle) and holds a whopping 2 cups or 16 ounces of your favorite brew. Great the the company cafeteria that gives free coffee if you bring your own mug!

The glaze turned out just beautiful. I used a glaze called "gunmetal green", which is the most beautiful lustrous teal, on the outside and a deep cobalt blue on the inside. Where the gunmetal green glaze accumulated around the base it is gray, so perhaps that is why they named it gunmetal green. It's so very pretty! The colors range from green, teal, blue green, silver gray and cobalt blue.

The mug was high fired and is lead free, perfectly safe for drinking. It is also oven proof, microwavable and dishwasher safe.

It is signed, dated and has my mark, a kitty paw print, on the outside.

2 Green Geranium Leaf Trinket Trays, Spoons Rests or Tea Bag Holders

I debated how to describe my little leaf trays. Should I call them spoon rests, tea bag holders, trinket trays, soap dishes or what? But that's the neat them about them, they can be used for just about anything. I always wonder what to do with my tea bag when I'm at someone's home, these would be perfect!

This listing is for two of them. Each of them are approximately are 4 inches wide by 3 1/2 inches "tall".

I plucked leaves off of my geranium plant and pressed them into clay. I then cut around each leaf and allowed it to dry before softening the edges. They are sage green on top but they are not glazed on the bottom. Each leaf is a little bit different.

Robin's Egg Blue Juice Glass with Amber Interior

I made this cup on the wheel. It is very light and a perfect size for small to medium hands. It would be perfect for a glass of juice or sitting by the sink for a glass of water.

I used two glazes on it. First I poured shino glaze inside the cup and then dipped the exterior in baby blue while the cup was upside down. Where the blue and shino mixed together inside the lip of the cup it's just beautiful.

The cup is 3 1/4 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest. It holds 1/2 of a cup (4 ounces).

It is microwave and dishwasher safe. Also, lead free and safe for drinking.

Tiger Stripe Amber and Black Cup

I made this cup on the wheel. While the clay was still soft and pliable I squeezed my fingers around it to create a comfortable hand hold. It would be perfect for a glass of juice or sitting by the sink for a glass of water.

I used two glazes on it. First I applied a black glaze on the cup as it turned on the wheel and then I dipped the entire cup in a shino glaze. It reminds me of tiger stripes.

The cup is 3 1/4 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest. It holds 3/4 of a cup (6 ounces).

It is microwave and dishwasher safe. Also, lead free and safe for drinking.

I signed and dated it before it was fired.

Serving Platter Terracotta with Painted Flowers

Usually I dip my pots into a vat of glaze and don't take the time hand decorate them. But when I work in terracotta clay with its warm rust color it screams out for decoration. I made this platter on a potter's wheel and then I decorated it with sprigs of flowers.

The platter is 10 1/2 inches in diameter and almost 1 3/4 inches tall because it sits up on a 1/2 inch pedestal foor.

This would make a lovely serving plate or cake stand. It would also look pretty just sitting on a counter. It should be on display rather than sit in a cupboard.

My mark, a cat paw, in honor of Mercedes, my cat who went to Kitty Heaven at the age of 18, is imprinted on the underside of the bowl.

Heart Bowl in Pink with Blue and Black

I threw the bowl on the wheel and then altered it into a heart shape. I used two glazes: first I dripped matte black glaze spots on the bisqued bowl as it turned on the wheel and then I dipped the entire little bowl into a basic cream colored glaze that is pink when it pools.

The bowl is approximately 4 1/2 inches in diameter and 1 3/4 inches tall. It has a lovely foot on the bottom.

The bowl would be lovely next to your bedside to collect your earrings in the evening or just sitting out looking lovely!

It is also food safe, dishwasher safe and microwavable.

Gingerbread Christmas Ornaments Terra Cotta

I used a cookie cutter to create these gingerbread ornaments in clay. First they were fired to strengthen them before applying glaze. Then I glazed them to look like gingerbread cookies.

This listing if for two ornaments, one gingerbread boy and one gingerbread girl. The ornaments are 2 1/2 inches tall and 2 inches wide.

They would look lovely on your tree or on the outside of a Christmas package.

The glaze turned out just beautiful. I used a glaze called "gunmetal green", which is the most beautiful lustrous teal, on the outside and a deep cobalt blue on the inside. Where the gunmetal green glaze accumulated around the base it is gray, so perhaps that is why they named it gunmetal green. It's so very pretty! The colors range from green, teal, blue green, silver gray and cobalt blue.

The mug was high fired and is lead free, perfectly safe for drinking. It is also oven proof, microwavable and dishwasher safe.

It has my mark, a kitty paw print, on the outside, but it's pretty much obscured by the glaze. It's shown in the third photo.

Set of Four - Organic Mullen Leaf Sushi Plates - Four Sizes

These Sushi Plates were made by impressing mullen leaves into a slab of clay. I then cut around the leaves and softened the edges. After a bisque firing they were glazed with two glazes to get the wonderful blue green color. The veins of the leaves come through and make them extremely organic. The bottom of the leaves are unglazed.

Since the plates were made from actual leaves they vary a bit.

This listing is for a set of 4 plates of varying sizes: the extra large one is 3 1/2 inches wide and 8 inches long, the large one is 3 1/4 inches wide and 7 inches long, the small one is 2 inches wide and 4 inches long, the tiny one is 1 1/2 inches wide and 2 inches long.

The extra large one could be for a serving for multiple people and the large and small ones would be fine for a serving for one and the tiny one could be a chop stick resting place.

Terra Cotta Lidded Container - Urn or Vase - Dotted by Hand

I made this lovely vase, jar or lidded container, on the wheel, then I spent hours with a little paint brush making an intersecting design with black, white, yellow and mauve (rose or pink) dots, one dot at a time. I did have some lovely music on at the time, but oh, my gosh, the hours I spent dotting this pot! I wanted the natural color of the terra cotta clay (the warm red orange or "terra cotta" color) to remain but wanted to add a little decoration. Colored dots just seemed to fit the bill. The glaze itself is clear and simply highlights the natural color of the clay and the dots I added.

As for the size: The jar (or vase), without the lid on, is 6 1/2 inches tall - with the lid on it's is 7 1/4 tall. The lid fits perfectly. The jar (or vase) sits up on nicely rounded foot, which is 3 inches in diameter. The vase is 6 inches in diameter at the very widest. Volume wise, it holds 7 1/2 cups of liquid.

Although it was made as a "lidded container", it can be displayed without the lid and looks perfectly fine. Terra Cotta clay is a low fired clay and like a terra cotta casserole or baking dish it will absorb liquid and although you can wash it and bake in it, it will slowly but surely absorb some of the smells or the items you put it in.

Pink and Black Swirl Bowl

I love making these psychedelic bowls! I used two glazes: first I applied a black glaze in rings on both the inside and outside of the bisqued bowl as it turned on the wheel and then I dipped the entire little bowl into a basic cream colored glaze that is pink when it pools. The two glazes run together in a most wonderful design. I just love it!

This bowl measures 5 1/4 inches in diameter at the brim and 2 1/2 inches tall and holds 1 1/2 cups. A nice size for a healthy bowl of cereal and wonderful for a scoop of ice cream!

The primary colors are pink and black but it has wonderful shades of green and blue also. The outside is just as spectacular as the inside.

Microwave and dishwasher safe and they are lead free and perfectly safe for eating.

Burgundy and Blue Green Lidded Container

This lidded container is 51/2 inches tall when you include the lid and 3 3/4inches tall if you just include the bottom section. It is 4 1/4 inches in diameter. The glaze I applied is called "eggplant" and has the lovely burgundy eggplant color where it is thicker and then blue and green where it is thinner.

The pictures show different sides of the same pot with quite a range of colors. Quite spectacular!

The jar could be used to hold your most prized possessions or just look pretty. It's also a nice jar for pet cremains.

Large Terra Cotta Serving Bowl with Blue Daisies

Usually I just dip my pots into a vat of glaze and don't take the time hand decorate them. But when I work in terracotta clay with its warm rust color it screams out for decoration. I made the bowl on a potter's wheel and then I decorated it with some blue daisies. I think they have a life of their own. I even through in a lady bug to mask a drop of red clay that fell where it wasn't supposed to be....

The bowl is 8 3/4 inches in diameter and almost 2 1/2 inches tall and holds 4 cups if filled to the very brim. They stand up tall on lovely rounded feet - looking pretty proud!

They would be great for an entree size salad or a large bowl of soup. It would also look pretty just sitting on a counter. It should be on display rather than sit in a cupboard.

My mark, a cat paw, in honor of Mercedes, my cat who went to Kitty Heaven at the age of 18, is imprinted on the underside of the bowl.

Microwave and dishwasher safe and of course they are lead free and perfectly safe for eating.

Blue Pottery Jar, Urn or Lidded Container

I threw this jar on the wheel in two pieces and then added the curly top knot afterwards. The lid fits perfectly! I used cobalt blue glaze on the entire pot and then the dipped just the outside in green. The blue and green together give the jar a bit of depth and sparkle.

The jar itself is 5 1/4 inches tall and about 6 1/4 inches in diameter at the widest. It sits up on a rounded foot that is 3 1/2 inches in diameter. The jar will hold 12 cups (3 quarts) comfortably.

The lid adds about 1 3/4 inches in height bringing the total height to 7 inches.

It's such a lovely jar and since it's lead free and water tight, it could be used for storing food or anything you like. Or, it is so pretty, it could be just for display.

It has my mark; a kitty paw print on the side, but it's pretty much obliterated by the glaze.

My signature and the year it was made on the bottom.

There is a very small hairline crack on the bottom, on the outside only. The crack is minor and doesn't go through to pot. It is still water tight and if I didn't mention the crack you wouldn't notice it unless you held the pot upside down.

Wood Fired Vase - Amber Green Celadon

I was lucky enough to be able to put a few pots in an anagama kiln, the Madras Dragon, which is a wood fired kiln, in Madras, Oregon. This is one of them.

The interior and the top of the pot is glazed, but the bottom was left unglazed. The lovely amber color was created from the wood ash. The color varies around the pot because of the direction and heat of the flames. There is absolutely nothing as striking as a wood fired pot!

The vase is 5 1/2 inches in diameter and 3 1/2 inches tall. It is water tight and would make a great Ikebana Vase with fresh flowers, although it looks striking all by itself.

My mark, a cat paw print, is impressed on the side.

It is also signed & dated on the bottom.

Heart Bowl in Pink with Blue Spots

I threw the bowl on the wheel and then altered it into a heart shape. I used two glazes: first I dripped matte black glaze spots on the bisqued bowl as it turned on the wheel and then I dipped the entire little bowl into a basic cream colored glaze that is pink when it pools

The bowl is approximately 4 1/2 inches in diameter and 2 inches tall. It has a lovely foot on the bottom.

The bowl would be lovely next to your bedside to collect your earrings in the evening or just sitting out looking lovely!

It is also food safe, dishwasher safe and microwavable.

I debated how to describe my little leaf trays. Should I call them spoon rests, tea bag holders, trinket trays, soap dishes or what? But that's the neat them about them, they can be used for just about anything. I always wonder what to do with my tea bag when I'm at someone's home, these would be perfect!

This listing is for a set of 4 of them. Each are approximately are 3 inches wide by 3 1/4 inches tall or high, depending upon how you like.

I plucked leaves off of a vegetable plant and pressed them into clay. I then cut around each leaf and allowed it to dry before softening the edges. There is a golden amber matte glaze on top but they are not glazed on the bottom. The glaze really accentuates the veins of the leaves. Each leaf is just a little bit different, since they're made one at a time without the use of a mold.

This is a very lovely bowl. I enjoy making bowls and this one is so graceful. It would make anything taste better.

Set of 2 Small Bowls - Shino, Black with Pink Highlights

These bowls were thrown on a wheel and are a wonderful set. One of the bowls is 1/4 of an inch taller than the other. The larger bowl is 2 1/8 inches high and 4 1/2 inches in diameter at the brim and the smaller bowl is 1 7/8 inches high and 4 1/2 inches in diamter at the brim. Both boths sit up on a foot that is 1/4 inch tall and 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Each bowl holds 8 ounces give or take an ounce. A perfect size for dessert, berries, condiments, or an evening snack.

I used three glazes on the bowls, first I dipped the rims in Black and then the entire bowl in Shino and then gave the bowls a little decoration by squirting a third glaze (Archie's Base) on the bottom of the interior. The are cute as a bug's ear.

The bowls were high fired and are lead free, perfectly safe for eating. They are also oven proof, microwavable and dishwasher safe.

I threw this vase on the wheel and it's been high fired making it water tight. Both the interior and exterior are glazed. The texture on the outside (with the help of "The Steve Tool") makes the glaze colors change. The colors range from sage and forest green, teal and silver gray. It's looks like it's sparkling. It's very pretty.

The pot is 4 1/2 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter at the widest point.

It would look beautiful in anyone's home or office. It would make a lovely flower vase or a very high class pencil holder.

Large Pottery Serving Bowl Shino and Black

I enjoy making bowls and strive for beauty in each one I make. On this bowl I used two glazes, shino and black. I can't remember which I did first, but I know the black swirls were applied while the bowl turned on the wheel and the shino was poured over the bowl because it was just too big to fit into my glaze bucket.

The bowl is 8 3/4 inches in diameter at the top rim and 3 inches in diameter on the rounded foot at the bottom. It is 3 1/4 inches tall and holds 6 cups (1 1/2 quarts) when filled to the very brim.

It would make a lovely salad serving bowl or a great popcorn bowl! (Popcorn sounds so much more fun!)

It is microwave and dishwasher safe and it's lead free and perfectly safe for eating. You can even put it in the oven to keep food warm.

I made this casserole for the Etsy Mud Team Casserole Challenge. Mud Team Members were asked to post a recipe of something that could be served in their casserole entry.

My amber casserole is 9 inches in diameter and 3 1/2 inches tall. It holds 10 cups or 2 1/2 quarts.

It is lead free and food safe. Can be used in the microwave and oven, but not the stove top. It can be washed in a dishwasher.

You could enjoy Spam Macaroni & Cheese in the Casserole! (Yes, I really like Spam!)

Jolene's Spam Mac & Cheese
Ingredients:
2 packages of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese
1 can of Hormel Spam
1 small bag of Doritos Nacho Tortilla Chips

Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Dice Spam into 1/4 or 1/2 inch pieces.
Prepare macaroni and cheese as package directs.
While noodles are boiling lightly brown diced Spam in a skillet.
Pour semi cooked macaroni & cheese into casserole and then stir in browned diced Spam.
Top the Macaroni and Cheese and Spam mixture with crumbled Nacho Tortilla Chips.

Bake for 30 minutes.
Serve while still warm.

3 Polka Dot Snowflake Christmas Ornaments

I used a cookie cutter to create these snowflakes in clay. First they were fired to strengthen them before applying glaze. Then I applied a white base coat and topped it with red and green polka dots.

This listing if for three snowflakes, one larger and two smaller. The larger one is 2 1/2 inches across and the smaller two are 2 inches across.

They would look lovely on your tree or on the outside of a Christmas package.

Copper Raku Vase with Black Stripe on the Shoulders

I made this vase on the wheel and then raku fired it in my backyard. (With the help of my friends!) It is glazed inside and out. The inside has a lot of turquoise with the copper, while the outside is mostly copper. There is a wonderful black stripe from the smoke on the shoulders where I left it unglazed. The side of the pot that was in the bed of combustible materials has markings from the firing. Very organic!

Raku pottery is low-fired ware, porous, and will NOT hold water. It is intended to be mainly decorative, however you may place/use a glass or equally watertight receptacle inside the raku piece should you want to use it to hold real flowers.

The vase is 6 inches tall and 6 inches in diameter at it's widest. The diameter at the top edge is 4 inches and the diameter of the foot at the bottom is 2 1/2 inches.

It would look beautiful in anyone's home or office.

Heart Adjustable Necklace Textured Sage Green and Teal

I pressed a doily into clay before cutting the heart shape. The edges of the heart were then smoothed and when thoroughly dry was fired the first time. Then I applied the glaze and fired it a second time.

The back of the pendant is not glazed. One of my customers applies aromatic oils to the unglazed stoneware.

The colors range from sage green, teal, lime green and gray.

The pendant is approximately 2 inches tall by 1 1/2 inches wide. The adjustable necklace can be 25 inches or cinched up to be a choker.

Two Red Ceramic Heart Pins - Perfect for Mother and Child

These two heart pins belong together. Wear them together and share one with a friend or child.

I impressed a doily into the clay before cutting the heart shapes. They were then cleaned and had the edges softened before they were fired the first time. Then red glaze was applied and they were fired a second time. The metal clasps were glued on at the end.

They would dress up any coat, jacket, blouse or dress for Valentine's Day. They would also make a lovely Mother's Day gift. One for the Mother and one for the child.

Red Stoneware Heart Pendant

After texturing the clay it was cut into a heart shape. The edges of the heart pendant was then smoothed and when thoroughly dry was fired the first time. Then I applied the red glaze and fired it a second time.

The back of the pendant is not glazed. I have some customers who apply aromatic oils to the unglazed stoneware.

The heart pendant is 1 1/2 inche in diameter. There is a round opening for a bale or wire finding.

Hors d'oeuvre Platter or Coffee Table Bowl

I made this platter from a slab of clay. I slumped it in a basket while the clay was drying which resulted in a basket type texture.

The top of the platter is lime green, yellow and brown. The underside is solid yellow. I tried to exaggerate the pattern of the basket weave. It sits up on 3 little feet. The 3 feet make it much more stable than 4 feet. It is approximately 12 1/2 inches in diameter.

It would look lovely on a table as decoration and make any hors d'oeuvre look special.

It's fragile and should be cared for as any other fragile dishware.

Lead free and safe for food.

Pierced Earrings - Dangles Pottery
