This silky little wooden moon is perfect for small fingers to grasp, and the soothing comfort of the cool smooth hardwood helps ease the pain for tender gums. An earth friendly, non-toxic heirloom quality toy handmade from solid alder (please note there are two different types of teethers shown in the photos; alder and maple. You will be receiving a darker colored teether). Each teether is handsanded silky smooth, and then soaked, causing any remaining wood grain to rise, and then sanded again to buttery perfection. Finally it is finished with my homemade non-toxic beeswax wood creme (pure beeswax, expeller-pressed jojoba oil and just a hint of sweet orange essential oil), which is buffed to a sheen with wool and cotton.

I (and my daughter) thoroughly test all my extra chunky designs to make sure they will safely hold up through falls, teething and whatever else may come their way. Be assured that I won't let your little one stick anything in their mouth that I wouldn't feel safe with my own daughter chewing on!

Measurements:

I (and my daughter) thoroughly test all my extra chunky designs to make sure they will safely hold up through falls, teething and whatever else may come their way. All edges are beveled for safety, and each piece is sanded silky smooth. The designs are burned into place so they will never wear off, and then the toy is given a wash of paint to deeply penetrate the grain of the wood (creating a stain, instead of a coating over the wood), using AP certified non-toxic plant gum based watercolors made in the US. Each toy is then given a protective sealing of beeswax wood creme which is then heatset to stabilize the paint. Finally another coating of beeswax wood creme (pure beeswax, expeller-pressed jojoba oil and just a hint of sweet orange essential oil) is applied and buffed for the finishing touch with cotton.

MEASUREMENTS:
3" tall, 5" wide, by 3/4" thick (made from poplar)
