Beautifully soft roving from the blue-faced leicester breed of sheep. BFL is one of the softest longhair wools and is the favourite of many spinners, including myself, as it is easy to draft and makes a beautifully woolly yarn with a gorgeous sheen. This is a 110 gram roving of this luxurious fibre for you to spin. Works wonderfully with either a drop spindle or a spinning wheel. The last picture is a sample of what the roving might look like as after it is spun into yarn.

Soft and sweet 50% merino wool / 30% silk / 20% angora roving. 70 grams (2.5 oz). The silk and wool take dye differently, creating texture. The silk also adds shine and strength to a finished yarn, while the angora adds warmth, softness and a beautiful halo. The merino contributes wonderful crimp. Suitable for spinning yarn from fine for strong and fluffy lace to bulky for amazing softness. Worsted short draw spinning is recommended.

Also, please know that superwash fibres are more slippery than non-superwash fibres. Recommended for short draw or spinning from the fold.
