It’s been thrown and glazed with durability and function in mind. While my work is strictly functional, it actively pushes across the line into the sphere of Art. This collection of work isn’t intended to cater to mass appeal. Each piece is unique in form and surface design, created by using hand cut paper stencils, slips, and
heavily textured glazes. The results are subtle (and not so subtle) surface designs that are bold and beautiful. It has been made to speak to an individual.

This is ceramics that celebrates imagination and creativity!

Get behind the scenes look in our studio door at my secret studio blog.
Medium Gift Canister

$40.00

5.25“ by 5“

Very nice optics trapped in the glaze.

I’ve thrown this lidded canister using a fine grained cone 6 white stoneware clay and finished it using multiple handcrafted studio glazes. I’m very happy with the development of this body of work, the surfaces and forms that have been created for this series of spring canisters have really been quite stunning. It’s been based on exploring the juxtaposition of swelling and constraint of a form that, for me, speaks of the promises of spring. The result is a simplistic quite beauty that fits very well into our personal spaces.

This is a medium sized handcrafted gift canister that’s perfectly suited for nearly any occasion. Fill it up with chocolate and your special someone will love you even more.

Hallmarked

Click on image for a enlarged view

These are individual pieces that push across the line into the sphere of Art. The collection isn’t typical of “Big Box” kitchen ceramics or a collection that caters to mass appeal. These are individualized works created for the individual… these are heavily textured, bold surfaces… subtle (and not so subtle) surface designs… distinctive design. It’s where functional meets imagination. Its ceramic Arts created to entertain our daily life’s… ceramics that celebrates imagination and creativity!
