These volumes were published by Little Leather Library Corporation circa 1921-1924. The flexible leather bindings are exquisite with embossed Arts & Crafts Movement decorations at front boards.
*** The Through The Looking Glass and Mother Goose are illustrated with original illustrations.

Each volume measures 3-1/4" x 4", and each is in VeryGoodPlus condition with slight edgewear, browning of title pages, and light foxing stain at title page of the Poe volume.

Vintage circa 1920 marble "Made In Italy" (original label still on each bookend at top) bookends. I do not believe this was a matching set, although both appear to be the same time-frame and marble. One bookend has crack across the spine and has been recolored at that spot.

Scary that one could get a certificate of "Beauty Culturist" because the legislature passed
"The Illinois Beauty Cultured Act".

Wow, this original can be yours now to scan into your computer and with photoshop or an art program put WHOEVER you would like as a name to be a real, bonafied BEAUTY CULTURIST. Again, I saw WOW!

This certificate measures 11-1/2" x 10", and has original gold embossed ("By Examination") emblem on it.

Writing on whole document is nice and dark, not like my blurred last image taken.

This is an original and not a print.

The four handsome airedales wanted girls; the girls wanted husbands; the tourists wanted a hot time ashore; the Cuban boys wanted transportation. The Cubans got what they wanted....."

"Have you ever taken a cruise? This is an advertisement for Hanover Fire Insurance Company, 181 Broadway, Office, New York. At the reverse is a calendar for 1883. There is paper-skinning at reverse from being in scrap-book. 2-3/4" x 4".

This would make a nice little illuminated framed vignette.

This photogravure is from The Work of Lord Tennyson, Coburn, Putnam Sons, NY, and measures 5-1/2" x 8-1/2". The tissue guard is still intact.

A very haunting image. This image of the horse appears to be very stationary, but upon closer inspection you can see that the nostrils of the horse have steam coming out of them, and the horses eyes are ominous. An image one would not soon forget.

This map is on the front endpapers of the book. The map is (obviously) still attached (on the left side of map) to the boards of the book. This is a wonderfully illustrated map with text at top and text spiralling graphically around the islands in the water......some text reading

" Showing in particular Fox Or Reynard Island with the various currents, reefs and other parils of its surrounding waters, augmented by such general information regarding the winds and tides......." etc, etc

Some text spiralling around an island....

"The peaks of Fox Island are difficult of access, Rock hidden at low tide, Northwest Harbour, Here are situated the only habitations....." etc.

This map measures 11" x 15" and is in good condition. Typical browning to paper, some typical abrasion to paper at center, a couple open tears at uppr rt and lwr rt corners mended.

This is a stunning map by Rockwell Kent and would do well to be framed and shown.
