This eyeglass holder is made with beads made by women in Uganda who are part of an organization called "Bead for Life". This organization has provided income for Ugandan women and their families in an attempt to eradicate poverty. Many of these women are HIV-positive widows and refugees from a brutal civil war, and many care for AIDS orphans. 100% of the money used to purchase these beads went back into the organization.

These colorful beads are made from recycled paper. This eyeglass holder incorporates these beautiful paper beads with various sizes and colors of plum, rust and forest green seed beads. Strung on flexible beading wire. Black rubber and silver eyeglass holders. Length is 26-1/2".

Necklace and Earring set made with beautiful handmade ceramic raku fired pendant from etsy artisan LisaPetersArt. The pendant has a celadon glaze and some metallic flashing in the middle, and measures about 2.25 X 1 inches. This awesome pendant is mixed with 12mm Chinese Chrysoprase round beads, 10mm silver plated beads and 13mm hammered silver-tone links. The beads are strung on 20 gauge non-tarnish artistic wire. The clasp is a hook and eye. The choker-section of this "Y"-style necklace measures 19". The dangle section at the bottom of the "Y" is 4" in length.

The matching earrings also have a 12mm Chinese Chrysoprase round bead and 10mm silver plated bead on a flower french hook earwire, and measure 2-3/8" in length.

Being a jewelry-aholic, I've always had to have jewelry to match every ensemble. I then had an "ah-ha" moment when it seemed like I was repeatedly making jewelry in similar color schemes. One day I might have a jacket that had lime green, black and turquoise which required one necklace; the next day it might be black, turquoise and pink; day three might be pink, lime green and orange. So, my "ah-ha" moment was not to make individual necklaces to go with each jacket, but instead make individual strands of a single color and mix-n-match the strands to match the outfit.

Each strand measures about 15" in length and has a sterling silver lobster clasp on each end.
