There really wasn&#39;t much of the shell left to it! I coated it many times over, added a thick bale made from a fine silver (pmc3) coil and snaked the coil around the the shell. I added a few spirals of fine silver paste (pmc3) with a syringe and fired it in the kiln. I slipped a lovel round dichroic glass cabochon from www.carolynrelei.com inside the shell and secured it with the fine silver coil. The back of the shell need some detail so I added a small piece of blue sculptural titanium from Gage Designs and secured it with ICE resin. After firing in the kiln the shell burned away and the piece is now a hollow fine silver replica of the nutshell! After it was tumbled and patinated with Black Max for an antique look I added a piece of blue metallic titanium held in place by a durable 2 part jewelers epoxy.
