I revamped my beadweaving contest entry piece originally named "Cabana Belle", (see last thumbnail photo,) and created this edition just in time for the Holidays! The conical "bells" are made with hundreds of seed beads, bugle beads, and tiny teardrop beads, in gold, copper and red. The bell shapes are then strung over topaz firepolish crystal to hold open the shape. Bells are separated by deep red firepolish crystal. The clasp is a custom made crystal button with loop closure. The bracelet measures 7 1/2", and it fits my 6 1/2" wrist perfectly. Very festive, very unique, sure to make your Holiday shine!

Look carefully...sea life abounds in these sparkly, colorful waves! I created tiny starfish, pink scallops, fish with coppery tails, and even a squid and a sea urchin to frolic in the beaded waves! Kind of like a mosaic, with tiny bits of color culminating into a larger, lively movement. I made this necklace as an entry for the Jan. / Feb. Etsy beadweavers' challenge, titled "Tropical Holiday." When I think of a tropical holiday, drinks with little umbrellas, cocoa-nutty sun lotion, and glittery warm sand are part of the picture... but the real magic takes place in the sea. The colors in the shells and fish and coral that nature concocts are a wonder to behold! They are nature's jewels. Once I started beading all the sea critters, I actually giggled aloud! I hope you find delight in my homage to the beautiful sea!

This classy, delicate necklace has a real Vintage feel to it, made up of new and old components. The "butterfly" connectors were hangin' out in my storage container for a spell... they evoke a sense of Art Nouveau with the long, stylized curves. The gorgeous crystal is Czech, in a deep cobalt blue that seems to be lit from within, set off by pale green seed beads. Gold plated filigree beads add to the nostalgic look. I admit it! I framed them myself! I couldn't help it.... they were looking up at me... those deep blue crystal cubes... they were screaming out to me, "show us off! We MUST be noticed!" So I did it, and I'm glad. I'm the kinda' dame who likes the sparkly stuff, so I used spectral, deep blue bugle beads and decadent teal green seed beads to get the job done. Slim and sexy, it measures 7", and features a gold tone square button that frames a deep blue acrylic gem. Go ahead, put it on... people will start talking!

Believe it or not, this choker is comfortable to wear! The back of the ribbon that faces your neck is smooth and silky. Ribbon ends are hand sewn down, then clamped with a Sterling Silver basketweave clamp. The tapestry type ribbon has a folk-art motif on it, with colors of royal blue, purple, teal, black and silver. Loops and dangles are made of seed beads, firepolish crystal and Swarovski crystal in varying sizes. The ribbon itself measures 13", but the extender chain, (with blue crystals,) extends to 17 1/2". These beauties are hotsy- totsy! Inspired by the gloves Shania Twain wore in one of her music videos, I decided to make my own version! The satiny, elbow length black gloves are made with a nylon spandex material, stretchy enough to fit most. I started the beading far enough down the arm so that the dangles won't get in the way, or be in peril of being crushed. The beading is done in black drop and silver firepolish crystal, securely sewn on with nylon thread.

I took one of my favorite designs from my friendship bracelet making days and gave it an up- grade! This undulating pattern looks like a satin-y ribbon, done up in shades of purple nylon cord. I love the sentiment behind the friendship bracelet,(how your friend ties it on you as a lasting token of affection,) but now I like to be able to take it on and off. The nylon cord I use seems to retain its color and stand up to wear. It measures 7 1/2" with the button closure, and has a different look on each side-- (see other pictures.) Enjoy, my friend!

A glamorous combo, sure to make your outfit shine! Photographing these pieces was challenging; in the end, my "non- flash" photos turned out best, as far as translating the colors. I used Swarovski crystal in burgundy and spectral bronze, sewn together with seed beads into a "snow-flaky" shape. The earrings and pendant have some dimension to them, giving them a slight bow. All findings are sterling silver, and the pendant is strung on a 20" burgundy gossamer ribbon. I decided to make this set to take the guesswork out of making a match, but CONVO me if you'd like to buy separately!

Lacy, yet earthy, this micro macrame bracelet can be dressy or casual. I named it as I did because the colors and feel of it are like having a glass of Merlot and wearin' your jeans in a comfy country cabin with some good friends;)! I used a rich burgundy cord with some cornflower blue agate beads and some sterling silver beads-- a great combo! This necklace was tatted using an edging pattern found "be-stitched.com", (see link below.)Simple and elegant, I used nylon cord in a champagne color, with some ivory faux pearls added for polish. (I used faux pearls because genuine pearls have too tiny a hole for the thread to go through....hmm... maybe I'll make one up in finer thread with the real deal?... stay tuned...) Clasp is a silver plated lobster claw and ring. It has been pressed and treated with a mild stiffener/ protectant to give it some body and retain shape. An affordable addition to a Bridal ensemble, to wear at a Prom or Formal dance, or just with a lacy blouse! Want it in white, ivory, or other color? Convo me!

This is one of my favorites! Perfect for Fall, this shaggy bracelet features tons of leafy fronds, in varying shades of green; fresh Spring green, rich olive green, and a khaki green, like turning through the seasons. The gorgeous golds, oranges, russets, and reds that make Autumn vibrant are represented in the crystal centered starflowers I've added, that really pop against the backdrop of the leafy fringe. The gold plated toggle clasp also carries the "leaf motif." The total length of the bracelet is 8 1/2", to allow for bend, with the beaded section measuring 7 3/4".

These are pretty crazy, but, yes, in the 80's, I kicked a few rain drops around wearin' these! Hot pink, zippered, with "clear" rubber soles, they'll keep your feet dry and stylin'! They have a little bit of wear, the transparent soles have yellowed a bit, but I can see them looking cute with some leggings or some funky tights. They are size 8M, measuring 10 1/4" long and 3 1/2" at the widest part.

I decided to design a bracelet around 2 beautiful black and white hand made glass beads! The pattern and the color in the beads reminds me of the ying/yang symbol. In keeping with balance and the heart motif, I added some silvery glitter heart beads to divide up the knotted section. The large glass hearts are showcased against a flat, knotted panel. 3 strand connectors and clasp are silver plate. The finished length is 8", with the knotted section measuring 7", X 1/2" wide.

OK... I didn't plan to make these earrings into miniature owl wall hangings....Just playin' around with some geometric knot configurations, for practice. When the practice piece started to resemble an owl, I went for the gusto and mounted the finished version on hand hammered Sterling silver t- bar mounts, with some light green "eyes" in firepolish crystal. Colors used are teal, olive green, and capri blue, finished with some fun little frayed fringe, just like the phenomenon from the 70'S!

In support of breast cancer awareness month, I made up this version of my most popular, original designs. This pink, feminine bracelet marries micro macrame with beading, accentuating the ribbon motif that represents support for the cause. Yhe shades of pink include rose, pastel pink, raspberry, and fuchsia. All the seed beads used are silver lined, giving the piece some real sparkle! The tension of the knotting makes the beads "pop" a bit, giving it some dimension. The knots culminate into a confetti burst of crystal dangles. After completing this bracelet, it struck me that the colors are kind of like Indian corn! The all AB, (Aurora borealis finish,) Swarovski crystal cast includes: olive green, sunburst orange, and pale brandy. I worked the crystals into the toggle and loop clasp-- SUPER easy to put on! Vintage White Cube Necklace, Revamped

When I first procured this 1950's necklace, it was strung on waxed thread, the "gold- colored" spacer beads were green and gunky, the green got on the white beads, and the clasp had been over- soddered. (See picture #2 for shot of original condition.) I took it apart, carefully cleaned every white bead, re-strung the necklace the necklace on nylon- coated wire. I replaced the gold colored beads with gold plated ones, and added a vintage rose slide clasp that closely resembled the original one. Who knew that these glass cube beads would turn out to be so glossy and unique? It measures 22" in length, with graduated cubes measuring from 6mm to a 12mm center bead. A Classic! Re- vamped!

Inspired by and with the permission of Designer Maria Rypan, I created my version of her "Fan Wheel" necklace. I love the natural flow to her pieces, and her use of beautiful Ukrainian stitching! OK... I really wanted to have this bracelet completed for the anniversary of Woodstock... better late than never! My little ode to the "Summer of Love," this sunshiney band bracelet is completely original, from my original sketch to plotted pattern to solid reality. I was only 5 in 1969, but I remember the moon landing and "flower children" that hung out in the park. I started Kindergarten that year, and got on the big yellow school bus to school. On the way, I'd look out the window and see brightly colored hippie buses and vans, painted with all these crazy squiggles and flowers... I was fascinated! The colors and groovy-ness of that time are epitomized in this bright little goody! It measures 7", with an easy- to- fasten silver plated slide clasp.

Scalloped Lace necklace

Here's a little tidbit modeled after pieces in my grandmother's sewing basket! She used to tat and crochet some tiny fancy, lacy items! I was inspired to create this necklace by the pretty flower motifs in an edging she used to do. Instead of using cotton crochet thread, I used some shiny nylon cord to give it some oomph. I added just a smidge of fabric stiffening starch for shape retention and stain protection. (The stuff is pretty mild.) Silver plated rings and lobster claw clasp complete the look. Length measures 16 1/2", sitting comfortably on the collarbone.

MOP? (Mother- of- pearl!) These unique earrings were beadwoven by me in shades of turquoise and white. I incorporated some vintage swarovski crystal in alabaster, (it looks like sea glass!), and made inverted V's with turquoise bugle beads and seed beads. The drops are lovely, milky mother of pearl, which glow with iridescence. I used fireline, a nylon filament, to weave everything together and to give / maintain its fanned out shape. They measure 1" long, and are threaded onto silver plated earwires.

I originally made these necklaces for little girls, so they had something to "touch" and shop for at Craft Fairs. Each fairy has her own personality, and is OOAK. The pendant is made up seed beads, bugle beads, and pressed glass flower and leaf beads, strung on pose-able copper wire. Gold- plated findings are firmly attached to gossamer ribbon, making this piece dainty, but strong. These are for girls of every age! This ribbon is 14", so it fits a child, but I'd be happy to string in a longer ribbon for an adult.

This necklace definitely has stucture to it! It's made using a Dutch spiral stitch working with Fireline, a strong nylon filament. The color combo is teal and pale purple with spectral blue-violet long bugle beads. The clasp is sterling silver and magnetic-- easy to put on! The rounded shape is comfortable on the neck, and is a compliment to many necklines, even with a turtleneck! This colorful twirler takes the DNA chain to different heights! Length is 21" with clasp.

This is some major bling! All Swarovski crystal in rose, burgundy, and purple. Using silver-plated beading wire, I let the wire "show", giving the bracelet a strong, loopy structure. The crystals on the edge are side-drilled, allowing them to move and sparkle. All findings, crimps and clasp are silver plated, adding to the quality of materials used. It is 1" wide, and 8" long with the clasp. Wear it with Mucho Attitude!

It was difficult to capture the delicate colors of this bracelet on film! Ethereal, very pale lavender 6mm crystals are surrounded by spring green, opalescent leaves, brought all together by the magic of micro macrame, using a celadon cord. I added some crystal tipped dangles for a fresh, natural appeal. The floral button has silver swirls on it that further enhance the natural, flowing design.
