This is a beautiful classic design mosaic mirror.

I have made only one of these. I cut my backing form from wood and mounted the china shards and flowers. I then finished it with light blue grout.

Heavy hanger on back.

This is one of my most beautiful, elaborate, mosaic mirrors. I have only made one of these.

I purchased a heavy high quality beveled glass mirror, and cut my design from stained glass. Some glass has silver mounted on the back which gives off a fantastic shine.

I also used natural shell and coral.
This piece measures 16 " x 20 "
It has a great hanger on the back that was mounted by the company that manufactured the beveled mirror.

For each child, I started with a slab of clay and etched my design lightly with a clay tool. As the clay dried slowly, I gradually scraped away clay to form my design, adding more detail to each child as I went along. When I had finished forming each child, I let them dry and then painted them with underglaze, which gives great color. I then fired them for 5 hours in the ceramic kiln. Afterwards I glazed them with high gloss glaze and fired them again for 4 hours.

I rolled out my base clay with a rolling pin and added the hand formed world and lettering, they were glazed and fired as the children were.

The outer frame measures 13.5 " x 22"
The mirror part measures 10.5 " x 13 "
The ceramic section with the children is 5 " x 10.5 "

This piece is sure to brighten even the most shaded garden. Even on a rainy day, this bench will bring the feeling of a sunny day to your garden.

I began by drawing my design on heavy paper. I then painted the design to make my pattern. I named and numbered each section and each piece. I then used sissors to cut all the pieces apart. I placed each little piece of paper on stained glass and cut the glass. I then put them back together like a puzzle.

Each section of water had its own code so I could match the many, many pieces of glass I cut to the section it was meant for. I also chose the pieces of glass carefully, looking through dozens of the same color glass to get just the right piece. I picked pieces that had some swirl in the glass and used them to look like moving water.

Each piece of glass was hand cut and smoothed on a glass grinder so there are no sharp pieces of glass. I then attached the stained glass to the concrete bench. I used a mixture that is made for ouside use. After the glass was all placed in its proper place on the concrete bench, it set, and then I grouted it with black outdoor grout. It was then sealed.

HAVE YOU EVER HAD ONE OF THOSE DAYS ?

This ia an original design mosaic mirror. I make all the tiles that I use in my mosiacs. I make them the old fashioned way by rolling out my clay with a rolling pin. I cut out the shape and press texture into the clay. They are fired for 5 hours in my ceramic kiln and then glazed again and fired for 4 more hours.

The tiles are put in place and grouted with black grout.

The outer frame measures 13.5 " x 22 "
The mirror section measures 10.5 " x 13 "
The ceramic section measures 5 " X 13 "

This is a custom made mixed media art guitar. The base is a full size 38" acoustic guitar. The artist will take a list of the items from the sixties that you would like included and locate the items or use your personal souvenirs and keepsakes. Hangs and spins from ceiling to view. The ULTIMATE conversation piece, great for home or office. Clients won't notice the wait with this in your reception area.
Many items are hand formed from ceramic clay, fired, glazed and fired again, or carved from wood by the artist. If you are a baby boomer, like the artist, include your personal photograph from the 1960's, otherwise known as 'the decade of peace and love.'
