Marked "Lewis, Sheffield England Savoy Stainless," these butter knives with their bakelite handles show their age. The handles have a lot of etched marks from handling and use. Please see pictures to show how beautifully and gracefully these knives have aged.

Three vintage bakelite knives for 3 differest task.
The first one is a steak knife, marked "Lewis, Sheffield England, Stainless, English Steak Knife." Approximately 8" long.
The second Maxwell Phillip New York, Made in Sheffield England, Stainless De Luxe." It has a curved, 2 pronged end.
Approximately 7.5" long.
The third one is marked but illegible, has rusting and is quite unique! Its blade tapers and curves upward! I'm guessing this is some sort of carving knife. Approximately 7.5" long with almost imperceptible striations (lines) on its handle.

Well, this one survived. It has an Art Deco type design and is in great vintage condition, all pieces intact.

Two vintage forks with creamy bone or ivory handles, with manufacturer's stamping on the backs (see pictures).
Delightfully aged, the metal parts still are shiny but the handles have discoloration and age spots, no cracks.
Approximately 7.25" and 7.5" long.
I did not clean or polish these knives, they will come to you with all their history intact.

I had purchased these patterns from a nice old Hispanic gentleman who had made his living as a "sastre," or tailor for the last 30 years. He has retired and was selling his most precious patterns.
Although he stated that all patterns were complete, unfortunately, I cannot personally guarantee this.

Before Ziplock, before Tupperware, cooks would use these lidded glass refrigerator dishes for storing all sorts of food. I have a few of these and they are perfect for storing stalked asparagus or green beans! And jello looks great in it too!
The dish is approximately 8.25" long, 4.25" wide, 3.25" tall including the lid. The bowl has ridged sides and the lid has vegetables design: corn, broccoli, tomatoes and carrots.
(the etched vegetable images are smaller than on the other refrigerator dish listing.)
There are, unfortunately, small cracks on the lid.

A dainty and very attractive lead crystal bowl with its tag still intact! Tag reads "24% PbO Anna Hutte Bleikristall Lead Crystal Made in Germany."
Gilded flowers design, some of the gold paint has faded. No chips or cracks that I can see. Approximately 6.5" long, 5.25" wide, 3.75" tall.
Red red cherries or strawberries would look so perfect in this bowl!

Two Vintage Sauce Dishes

My family loves to dip: French fries in to ketchup, shrimp in to cocktail sauce, egg rolls in to soy sauce, tortilla chips in to salsa. Hence, I have many many small vintage dishes to serve dips. I have paired these two because of their stripes.
One leaf shaped pressed glass dish, approximately 6" long, 4" wide, 1" tall. No cracks or chips.
A rectangular striped dish, approximately 3.25" long, 2" wide, 0.75" tall. There are little indentations on both ends (see pictures, please zoom). There are some minor ships on the rim, noticeable only if you run your finger on the ridge.

Of course, on occasion, I used these dishes to display my business cards or moo cards. The are just about the right size!

1897 Antique Map of the United States 1897

This petite map page comes from a very old book published in 1897 called "The Leading Facts of American History." It contains much useful information about the history of our great nation. Sadly, its pages are loose, it's spine is missing and students from several generations have written their own little notes all over the pages!
Rescued are a few precious pages including this one. It is a more than a century old rendition of the map of the United States.
The 2 pages are an insert in the book with the crease in the middle. Together as one, the page measures 9" by 7.25". There are visible signs of aging: browning of the pages, discoloration and minor tears at the folds. Please see pictures of back and front.
A piece of history from a very long time ago!

A true shabby chic vintage bowl with all the signs of a very long life. Marked "Ovenserve, Made in USA." It has ridges on its edges and a flowers design embossed on its side. When we were kids, our toy slide viewer brought endless delight to my brother and I. We viewed vivid pictures of Disney characters and other cartoon characters with it.
Here is a vintage slide viewer from the 1950's.
Marked "Zadiix Jr," approximately 3" tall, 2.25" wide. It is made of brown plastic and as I look through the eyepiece, there are some marks on the lens. There is a small chip on the eye piece. Still functional and a cool blast from the past!

In 1932, prolific painter of flora and fauna Rex Brasher published his prints of birds and trees of North America. Thirty years later, reproductions of his original paintings were published. The publishers have endeavored to faithfully reproduce the colors of the original paintings.
A magnificent 16.5" by 12", these back to back pages of illustrations contain:
Cuban Martin
Gray-Breasted Martin

Western Kingbird
Cassin's Kingbird

You will receive 2 back to back pages with illustrations. The pages are well preserved, no marks, creases, folds or writing.
There is a 1" frame around each picture and punch marks on one side. Plenty of room to properly frame this piece.
I will mail this page flat with new and recycled materials.

Rex Brasher:
Rex Brasher (1869-1960) was a Connecticut wildlife artist who produced in the early 1930s a limited edition set of books entitled The Birds and Trees of North America. This work included prints of 875 paintings showing over 1200 species and subspecies of North American birds.

Over 20 pages of vintage wallpaper sheets salvaged from an early 1980's wallpaper sample book. The book's covers were in very bad shape and some of its pages were torn or cut out but I was able to save some of the pages. Most pages are approximately 7.75" wide by 8.12" long but some pieces are smaller (chair rail samples) or parts of torn pages or odd shapes. You will receive at least 20 pieces and I will also add 5 pages of generic (plaids or stripes) for you to use.
Perfect for altered art, scrap booking, mixed media, etc. projects. Also great to use as background paper for your etsy photographs!
All pages are generally in very good condition, there may be very minimal tears (hardly any really).

It has unevenness in glaze, imperfections in the shape of the handles. This is not a cookie cutter, factory made, one among many many of the same kind of bowl. It has its charming quirks!

Vintage Pyrex Covered Casserole Dish

When I was growing up, my mother would cook such flavorful, aromatic, elaborate healthy dishes that she would serve in Pyrex bowls. She still does that for me today except that she is now on the other side of the United States! So when she comes for a visit, my Pyrex bowls come out and again I smell and savor those rich casseroles, steamy soups and hot tangy dishes!
A vintage Pyrex dish perfect for hot foods because it has a cover and handle, with delicate flowers and leaves etched on its lid. Approximately 6" tall, 11.5" long, 7.5" wide, marked "Pyrex."
Unfortunately its lid has a hairline crack that does not affect its functionality. This piece has been around for a while as evidenced by little chips on its side.

A Collection of Small Vintage Dishes Flowers Design

I have always collected plates and dishes but as an Etsy seller, I am now always on the look out for dishes I can for my pictures. Pretty dishes, with designs that are not too elaborate or with colors not too bright are perfect to use to take pictures of jewelry, supplies, etc. Of course, you can use these dishes to add to your collection or hang on your wall for a colorful vignette.
Eight small dishes:
Scalloped hand decorated "Franciscan" saucer with pretty pink flowers, approximately 5" in diameter. Has a chip on the back not visible in the front.
Scalloped, "lacy" Spode with "Billingsley Rose" design. Approximately 5.25" in diameter, no chips or cracks, some age spots.
"Made In Japan" plate with bright blue, yellow and red tulips on the edge. Approximately 5.75" in diameter. No chips or cracks that I can see.
Saucer with pink and yellow flowers, marked "Red Wing," approximately 6" in diameter.
Pretty plate with elaborate flowers design, no markings, approximately 5.5" in diameter. Vintage saucer with grapes and vines design and scalloped edges, marked Royal Gadroon," approximately 6.25" in diameter.
Vintage "Blue Ridge" dessert plate with pink flowers, approximately 7" in diameter, unfortunately had a chip on one edge.
An unmarked 8 sided plate with pale green and blue flowers, approximately 7.25" on each side.

The Happy Couple Vintage Wedding Photograph

Perhaps one of the most photographed events in one's life (especially if one has multiple of them!) is the wedding. This is an old (1940's or 50"s) photograph of a happy couple dressed in all their finery and bliss.
The photograph is approximately 5.5" long, 3.75" wide but it is mounted on its original cardboard frame marked "Sullman Studio 5142 N Clark St Chicago." The cardboard frame is 10.75" long, 6.75" wide and has frayed edges and water marks.

Vintage Flower Brooches with Chains

Perhaps part of an unfinished project, two copper flower brooches are joined by three thicker vintage link chains. These items came from an old jewelry factory that had been in business since the late 1800's. All pieces show signs of vintage age: rusting, greenish patina, discoloration.
Flower brooches are approximately 1.25" in diameter, chains (graduated in lengths) are approximately 4", 4.5" and 5".
You will receive 2 sets.
Use as is or take apart to make wonderful new projects!

Vintage Marcrest Brown Pitcher

After more than 20 years, this pitcher is worse for wear but my gosh, it still has some life to it! I used this for awhile next to my kitchen stove to hold my wooden spoons and cooking utensils. It is sturdy, robust and so attractive!
Shiny brown glaze, its body decorated with flowers and ribbons, marked "Marcrest Overproof Stoneware." Approximately 8" tall, 8" wide (includes handle and spout) with a cracked (and repaired lip) and a chip on its handle. Manufacturer's imperfections are evident with unevenness in glaze.

Three delightful scissors in their own red vinyl case! Each pair of scissors are etched with their own design, approximately 3.5" long. One pair is marked but the mark is almost illegible. All scissors are dull, they would need some sharpening for use. The vinyl case is approximately 7.5" long, 2.5" wide.
