The Earth Dragon - cross stitch needlecraft - wall art or framed

This beautiful earth dragon took me over 4 years to stitch. He is truely stunning and consists of around 90 different DMC thread colours. He was born in Karratha deep in the heart of the Pilbara, Iron Ore Mining Country. He got me through my study years and was my escape from the world and travelled with me to Perth, the big smoke.

The stitched area alone measures 55cm by 34cm (21.45" x 13.26") and I calculated roughly 10,000 X's were included.

The aida was hand dyed by myself and is 14 count.

The pink around the edges is where I have sewn it to stop the aida from freying.

He needs a loving home to be put on display as sadly I just don't have the room to display him here! He will come with an explanation of his history for you to keep with him because to me, he is as alive as I am and holds many a fond memory. I hope he finds a home that will provide him with more good memories :)
