A jug of field daisies is the centerpiece of a still life with the feel of an old Flemish painting.

The photograph is approximately 7.5 x 10 inches. I use only archival papers and print with pigmented chroma inks. I print each photograph using the same fine materials I use to make giclee prints for local artists.

This print is not framed or matted.

Six Cards Polaroid Manipulation Fine Art Photographs 2 each of 3 Garden Images

These photographs were all taken in my garden. Grape Purple Irises, the first card, shows the old fashioned purple iris that smells just like Grape Cool Ade. I got the iris tubers from a wonderful gardener in upstate New York through the Herb and Flower Exchange. They have spread into a great mass.
The second photograph, Trollius Garden, is my tiny bog garden with yellow Trollius in full bloom.
Finally my side yard, the hammock overlooking the view to Vermont.

The photographs were taken with a Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera, a camera manufactured in the 1970’s. The film made for this camera, Time Zero film, had a unique property .The emulsion did not completely set for 24-48 hours after exposure and could be moved around to create unusual effects. Although Polaroid discontinued production of the camera by the end of the decade it continued to make the Time Zero film for the photographers and artists who loved it. Unfortunately when Polaroid was sold a couple of years ago, the new company apparently lost interest in supporting artists and discontinued the film. So now when our stashes run out so will this wonderful art form.

The process used for these images was very simple. After taking the photographs I manipulated the emulsion with crochet hooks and some double pointed knitting needles to create the painterly effect. I then scanned the manipulated images into the computer to make prints.

Offered here are three photographs, two cards of each image.

I have a few small black and white wooden frames, 6 ½ x 8 ½ inches that hold a 5 x 7 inch photograph.

You may choose any of my photographs and I will frame it for you. It will be ready to give as a gift or hang on a wall.

Please note these frames are not suitable for my square photographs. Some of the other photographs will be cropped a little to fit the frame.

Ireland Photographs Pendant Locket

Two of my original photographs in a reversible glass locket/ pendant. One photograph is on each side of the locket which is approximately two and an eighth inches long and one inch wide.

Cord is not included.

On one side is my photograph Rocky Iris Beach and on the other Sheep Grazing on an Irish Beach. Both photographs were taken at Tonakeera Point in Connemara.

All Green , Fine Art Holga Photograph

I love green, for me it symbolizes all that is fresh in the spring and also the lushness of summer as in this photograph. The photograph was taken with a Holga, a “toy” plastic camera that uses medium format 120 film. The Holga lens is plastic too and not very sharp plus there are occasional light leaks. The effects however can be very interesting.

The photograph is approximately 9.5 x 10 square and is printed on a beautiful archival matte paper using pigmented chroma inks. I print each photograph using the same fine materials I use to make giclee prints for local artists.

All Green is also available as a larger giclee print, approximately 12 inches square on watercolor paper for $50 or as a card.
